Finally Hit The $5k Month Mark

Thats right fellow warriors, I have been working my A** off for the last two months, and I can say with a big smile on my face that it was all worth it.

It took me by surprise but nevertheless I was due for this. Here is how I did it.

The start of 2011, I have dedicated to build my list, so I have been writing articles, uploading videos to youtube and and spending small $40 a week on Facebook Ads. The Firts week I was averaging, 4 sign ups a day, after that it was gradually increasing. I looked after my prospects by giving them non stop value, not mailing everyday or so lol, but I offered them a lot of free products I had given them the luxury of being on skype with me for consultation or rather conversation lol. I did this for 2 months and gradually I have built a List of 2,005 exactly since writing this post. So then I spent one week getting them Hyped up for a product and warming them up with what I am offering. So then the day came for the launch all I did was send the swipe email I was given from the product owner and thats it....

so it really is true then, The Money Is In The List, I KNOW!

Sounds great and encouraging. You are right the key is massive action, overcoming that barrier is not always easy though. It's easy to get stuck in the learning mode and not doing, very nice to accumulate knowledge especially given that you will be teaching others, however I think it's higly important that you make money or else you will feel burntout.

$5k Mark is really nice, welldone mate.

Okay, that's all well and good. You essentially built up to a product launch
        and made 5K.

        Now what?

Most of that list has either already bought the product or have no desire to.

        What's next?

Without continuing to build your list and pitching this product to them, your
income next month is unlikely to stay at 5K UNLESS you add additional
        products and/or services.

I learned the hard way back in 2006 that you CAN'T live off of one product
UNLESS it is an evergreen product. I don't know what yours is, but if it's
in the "make money" niche, it will eventually crash and burn. They all do.

So while what you did is great (and yes, building a list is key) resting on
your laurels and past success is going to turn into a recipe for disaster.

Again, I am speaking from experience.

So get back to work and start thinking about adding products to your
funnel. Again, unless this is an evergreen product, you're going to need
        them.

Take this 2 cents for what it's worth to you.

I learnt this the hard way. People come up with a product and think that is it, time to sit back and watch the money roll in. NUP

wow some great advice stevie thanks, yes i know the money niche is bang & burn but these prospects are on my list now arnt they, so I will probably continue to get new prospects now that I have more money invest more for another product launch, and these well, I will keep giving them content and mail out offers to them once in a while. I think the only way the internet money making niche can be attained is through getting new Fresh prospects every now and then.

          Well put.

          Success breeds complacency.

Now the hard part is to do it again and again and again.

However, that is also the fun part. I would focus on creating a product of your own for your list. Perhaps a monthly subscription for a service or trainign course. That will build up a more stable income for you in the long run.

      Hi, great job.

Getting to a 5K month in just 2 months is amazing. Theer has been plenty of advice about not sitting back but moving forward. I'm guessing if yiou managed to crack a 5k in just two months the you don't need that advice. You already sound like a "go getter" with the kind of attitude and action that's neded to make it in this game.

Just keep doing what you're doing and this time next year it will be your name on those leader boards.........

While it's true that he built up his list over the course of 2 months and made $5k, going by the industry standard of $1 per subscriber per month, it'd be pretty feasible for him to earn $2k recurring (or more) per month on that list of 2,000 subscribers if he treats them right, and promotes related affiliate products. If he's gained their trust and does this consistently, I see no reason why he'd not be able to make $2,000+ with the existing list that he's built up.

Of course, I'm sure that he's going to keep promoting and building his list, and not remain stagnant at 2,000 subscribers.

    • Do yourself a favor and figure out a series of autoresponder emails which will lead to new list members getting pitched on the same product you just sold.

I use an autoresponder to pitch a week of free content before making the proposition that my audience might want to buy several different products depending on their needs.

That's another option, create review emails on several products at once with the pros and cons to each.

Excellent Work! You are a great example and should be proud of your accomplishment. You found a good opportunity and actually stuck it out until you started seeing the results that you deserve. Most people do not last that long due to a 'limiting' belief.

Yes, if you are promoting a business opportunity, the money is indeed building a list of 'highly' targeted subscribers and then offering them value.

Most people in this industry think that there is a 97 percent failure rate. Most think that this means that it is very hard to 'succeed'. The cold hard truth is that most people decide to quit before they get the results they deserve.

You worked your but off and generated enough traffic. I hope this really hits home for every new marketer reading this post.

Now when some people start getting results, some just kick back and wait for the big doe to role in. However, the big thinkers will just recognize this as a sign that they are on the right path and keep on doing what has worked for them.

Success is a 'state' of mind.
