Ipad Virgin....help!

INTERNET MARKETING

My wonderful hubby got me an ipad for Valentines day. I want to use it to be more productive in my IM business.....looking for suggestions from other Ipad users for apps, etc, that will help in IM.

Here you go:

Reeder: for downloading RSS feeds
Omnifocus: for keeping track of tasks
Instapaper: for downloading websites/blog posts for reading later offline
Ithoughts: for mindmapping
Writer: word processor that's better than Pages....just text that's it
Omnigraffle: for more robust diagramming and stenciling....good for wireframes.
Goodreader: for reading PDFs
VLC: for those product downloads...plays almost any video...don't have to sync to Itunes.

the Ipad is awesome...but I cannot type too long on it, as the type-in keyboard is a little strange.

  Out of curiosity, how do you get the videos without syncing it to iTunes? That's been my biggest complaint with my iPad.

  With VLC you just point to the video through Itunes to upload. So you still
  NEED Itunes, but you do not need to add it to your Itunes library.

  LOL no biggie. I just have high hopes that Apple will eventually see the light and allow us to use the expensive toys we purchase the way we want to. Doubt it will ever happen, though.

So as far as IM on the iPad goes, it's mostly surfing with minimal writing isn't it. It's just more attractive weight and size wise to carry an ipad instead of a laptop.

IMO iPad is a cool gadget for web-surfing, games, videos etc But you can't use any of you i'm tools so what's the point? I use my iMac most of the time but also have my tablet PC for when i have to be mobile.

I like Office2HD, it allows you to edit documents and excel files right from Google Docs. Works really well when away from the PC.

Also, stay away from the games, once you find those you will never get any work done!

Maybe you should consider marketing your own APP that you let create through outsourcing or you can even make your APP with an APP Template generator.
