Do sites that have no revenue sell on Flippa?

I have a site I'd like to sell on Flippa. I don't have any ads, Adsense or anything like that on it now so it's not making any revenue. It doe have ever receive a lot of traffic. It gets on average about 400 unique people a day with about 1000 page views a day. Would this have any chance of selling?

It will sell better than a site with neither traffic nor revenue, although I can't really give you an exact amount you can expect to sell it for. 400 uniques per day is decent though, so it's worth listing and seeing what you can get for it.

On another note, why aren't you already monetizing the traffic? Seems like a lot of traffic going to waste there and even if you can make a few dollars with it, the value will increase considerably.

      Short answer is yes.

Many people buy sites for the traffic. You may not be able to monetize it but you can bet there are others who can.

You should be running Google Analytics though as that is accepted as the "proof"
people will want to know where the traffic comes from, how it is generated, geographic etc.

Of course the traffic "niche" will also effect the value.

You need to decide what you would be happy to sell at and set that reserve.
The market will soon tell you if your expectations are realistic or not.

Also look at Flippa. You can see all that have sold and those that have not sold and what they sell for. If you can find similar sites to yours then you may get an idea of what it might go for.

A long time ago I got sort of fed up with Adsense and 'deleted' the Google account, along with everything on it.

I'm now unable to register an Adsense account or 'reactivate my old one haha.

I have made affiliate sales through the website though.

Thanks everyone for the feedback and responses so far, appreciate it.

This will definitely sell. As for what you will get, it all depends on what niche / market. I think getting 400 uniques a day will definitely have interest, especially if you say that you haven't monetised it yet. Some people will definitely see the potential based on the unique views alone.

90% of the sites being sold at flippa are without revenue(use the preset search option at flippa to see what I am trying to say). You will surely be able to sell it for a good price.

You'll definitely be able to sell your site for more than if it did not have any verifiable traffic. Do you have Google Analytics installed, and consequently prove that you get 400 unique visitors per day? Flippa makes a big deal of the Analytics figures and verifies them on your auction page, so it does lend your statistics a lot more credibility when you have this.

I'm assuming the traffic is organic - how targeted is it? This will play a pretty big part in your prospects' valuation of your website.

I've sent my Analytics data to them to verify that the stats are correct, I'm so glad I installed Analytics when I started.

The traffic is organic and very targeted, most of the searches are fairly specific keywords.

This should make it a lot more appealing to prospective buyers, because they now know that the traffic is flowing passively without any additional work and/or advertising on their part.

My next question is whether this niche can be easily monetized?

On a scale of 1-10, I'd say about a 6 (For me!) I'm sure someone who actually knows what they're doing could do it much easier. The site is guide devoted to a specific game. I'm sure that could easily be monetized with offers for other game guides (I've made a couple of affiliate commissions doing this)

If it's a popular game like WoW (I'm sure that if you've been involved with gaming you know exactly what I'm referring to), then there are tremendous opportunities to monetize it. This'd also apply if you're targeting keywords related to one of the more popular games on Facebook.

Can you PM me the URL of the site and the analytics details? I may even be interested in buying it off of you. That way you avoid having to use Flippa, pay for the fees, and all that.
