Some People Are Too Lazy?

I try to come to this forum at least one time on daily basis, and every single day I come in, I saw a new thread about: "Please tell me the best way to make money online".

I mean, those people have thousands of amazing info, tips and tools right in front of them, they can invest a few bucks and join the War Room, or if they can't afford it can search for the best threads, or at least search for the same question they want to know using the search engine, but no... they ask again the same question again and again.

I think some people never make a dime online, but its for the attitude not for the experience or the method they use.
#main internet marketing discussion forum #lazy #people
  • Your blog from your signature links looks like an automated blog to me, have you been penalized by google in your SERPS rankings. I mean if your traffic has increased/decreased with the new google rule in effect.

    • Sorry but no... this is a 100% original content blog and its on the #1 Google position for the main keyword for 2 years now.
    • Hi 55sadhikar,

There are quite a few threads already in the forum about this too, may be best to ask that question in the relevant thread.

      Hi Yadira,

I know there are quite a few of them but some newbie's may not realise the search functionality and in all fairness you don't have to open it.

Someone explained to me recently, the best way to make those threads and others disappear, is if we all just ignored them.

Besides, those threads do have some positive responses, which I fear is more than this thread will get.

      No offense, I'm just saying.

EDIT. I'd also like to say well done for doing so well on the site in your signature.
    • LOL. Have you seen the "blog" in your own signature? Maybe you're confused because her blog is in Spanish?

I personally find Yadira's blog to be pretty top notch, and the fact that it's in Spanish makes it even more so for some reason.

      @everyone else
It's a double edged sword in my opinion. Yes, you see the same questions over and over everyday. I've been reading this forum since a decade ago when it was in the old bulletin board format, the questions have stayed the same more or less.

Newbies (or even some non-newbies) either don't know about the search function, don't know how to use it correctly, or are just simply intimidated by it.

Even if they find the answer to their question in another post/thread, they think if they ask it again, the responses will be more 'tailored' to their person circumstances.

As far as the comments about the threads being old.... have you ever read a thread, say 3 years old on any given topic... let's take article marketing for example, and then read a thread about the same exact topic from yesterday... they contain 98% of the same information.

Internet Marketing has not changed much in the last few years, at least not the fundamentals. Sure, new 'tools' and 'techniques' come and ago, but the solid fundamentals of marketing on the Internet to earn an income have stayed the same.

There were people looking for magic bullets a decade ago, there are people looking for magic bullets right now as we speak (or type), and there will be people looking for magic bullets a decade from now.
  • I"ll admit, when I first came here, the search box seemed to be tucked away out of sight. And sifting through hundreds of the same type of thread gets monotonous, too. So I'm guessing the newbies are looking for updated information (not a six-month-old thread), can't find the search box, or yes, perhaps they're just lazy.

But then, all of us get a little lazy streak inside us from time to time.
  • Don't get mad Yadira!! Sell them a how to ebook! :-)
"The Key To Marketing Success is Simple... Find the right message, use the right media, and deliver it to the right market."

    Congrats on your SE rankings.

    • Thanks! I agree, stay with good quality adds, banners, etc
  • Yes i see many broad questions being asked like "tell me a way to make $50 per day". If they read couple of threads in this forum they will find the answers but they are too lazy... Google is the best when you are looking for answers, i always do google search instead of opening a thread.
  • "Please tell me the best way to make money online" is a legitimate question. This forum exists to help such people.

In fact, it's not only newbies that ask that question--seasoned professionals are also looking for the latest trends too. No matter how well we may be doing, we're looking for new ideas so we can do better.

    • Yes, asking about the trends was my point exactly. People want to know what the best way to make money is NOW, not what it was a year ago when the previous threads were written.
    • I definitely agree with this. Combing through this forum to find the answer is near-impossible. And often, the technique a member writes as his success story may have gone belly-up a few months down the line due to who knows what.

We are all here to help and be helped. "Find it yourself" is not helpful.

But, Yadira, you are right- there is definitely truth in that some people are too lazy to be successful. That is why "do it for me" products sell well!
    • Thank You for your comment. I think that Yadira forgot what it was like to be a newbie. There are so many scams on google.

    • I am a paid member, and I can't figure out how to do anything in here except read.

  • You should be grateful that people are lazy and cant be bothered, it makes it easy for the rest of us!
  • Yes, some times your thread is right, but not always.

People are always searching the most effective, reliable and efficient way of making money online. They move through internet. They come here by searching and searching. Always they are not lazy. Huge number of people always moving through warrior world. All of them are not creating that thread.

Some may do that unconsciously or for knowing new technique.
  • I think people should get in the habit of using the search feature when they can, but sometimes it's nice to have fresh answers on the topic. I mean, not always is reading a year old thread with 300 pages the most beneficial way of getting the latest trends and up to date information.
  • The fact is that there are many ways to earn a nice income online.

There are so many possibilities and opportunities.

A lot of people don't think that they can succeed online too.

Everyone who is a success started with nothing and had no clue how to start.

  • I don't think laziness is a problem. A lot of people have good intentions, and start something full of energy and never mind, I don't feel like finishing this post.

    • This ^^ makes me wish we had a "like" button on the WF!
  • Everyone is lazy. It's the human nature. If we wouldn't be lazy, we wouldn't have invented robots to do things for us.
  • Yes, I agree with that! People are really unique. Some are hard worker like me and some also are very lazy. But anyway, that is their life.
  • Some others don't even Google what ever they want to do.
    Here's one posted today:
"I would like to start a paid directory and I don't know how to go about it. Can anyone in this business help me? Only expert advice please... Thanks!"
    Yeah, "only expert advice"

  • Laziness is the root of all evil and keeps those that want to do internet marketing full time from doing it. I know how you feel and it took me a while to realize that I can be lazy too, but when I am focused I get so much done.

I asked a question like that a long time ago, when I first began, simply because all the info in the forum was very overwhelming. That is when I discovered article marketing and spent all my time doing that until I mastered it.

That is my skill that helps me make money no matter what. It allows me to build more skills much easier and that is my advice to new marketers constant.

Pick a method- typically a free one to start

Work with it and learn everything you can about it until you make money from it

Track your efforts so you know where the money came from

Then rinse and repeat until you have mastered it.

DO NOT move on to something else until you have one thing mastered or you will never make it.

    • I think the overwhelm thing is probably a big factor - in most of those threads there are so many different methods put forward by people that for someone just starting out to wade through them all and make a decision must be very hard. People starting new threads in that vein probably not only want new responses maybe they want to interact with the people who respond so they can more easily make a decision which they probably don't feel will be as easy in an older thread.

@Rikki_Fawkes - I hear ya about the search button - I still always feel the urge to type what I'm searching for in the subscribe box!

Like all humans those who ask the question wants answers to their specific needs thinking that what they read in a previous thread was the answer to someone else question. In short, they are seeking some structure in their mind of what, and, how to do x,y,z.
  • I agree that most people are lazy but as others have said being lazy is not the only thing. This forum is here to help people as well as being a community for seasoned IMers. There could be more pinned threads at the top though as to help direct newcomers.

    • In theory, maybe, but the reality is that the ones that are there now hardly get read. Adding more stickies would only take up more space, IMHO.

      All the best,

  • In internet marketing, I came to learn that unless I hear a technique a few times, I should not pay much attention to it. Some might want to hear from a few people and compare notes.

  • Humans are lazy.

If we weren't lazy than there wouldn't be unsuccessful people (figuratively speaking).
  • I am with luke.

95% of people are lazy. Especially those hunting around for the secrets to making money online. They just keep going from one thing to the next.

That is why the big IM gurus do not mind sharing their big big secrets, as they know about 3-5% of people they sell to, will actually do something. Then about 1-2% of that 3-5% will actually finish what they started.

Its a sad fact but true. Just think how many products you bought before you got off your lazy butt and took action.
  • I think there is laziness. But I think there is just as much doubt in people's minds if not more doubt than laziness.

People want to make money. People need money.

I think most people just want to be certain about how they spend their time and energy to try to make money. It seems so weird to make money on the internet. And many people have been schemed.

But you see lots of people asking "What is the most certain, sure, definite way of making money online." They want that feeling of certainty, emotionally.

Because no one likes that feeling in your stomach that tomorrow will be another failure. Another day that will drain the energy out of your hopes and dreams until you don't feel anything any more.
  • I think that is very rude. How can you judge people for being lazy when people just want a helping hand to point them in the right direction in the beginning.. There is A LOT of good information on here... The key word being "A LOT" << Us newbies ask the advice of warriors as some of us don't know where to start there's an abundance of ways to make money and things to do... So instead of trying them all, people just want advice.

That's my opinion from my personal point of view i think it's offencive to call newbies lazy, I'd call them "lost"

Not to mention wanting to avoid scammers and poor products.

If your in the making money market i suggest you change your attitude towards us!

How can you say that about people just setting out. Theres nothing wrong with asking for advice or help!

    • Well said.

How quickly we all forget we were once newbies as well (in some ways we always will be - because we are continually learning)

Calling newbies lazy is just pure arrogance. If you don't want to respond to a question, then don't - simple

  • people usually like when someone give everything to their hands, thats why most of people ask these questions everyday , but if they search here for sometime, they will get more good info about this topic. Of-course need to spend some money!!
  • Some people are indeed too lazy. But some believe so much in this forum that they know all answers to their questions are available. That is why they ask the questions they have. Getting to see responses to similar questions that were asked before is not that easy for them.
