Listing Building: What Product To Offer For Free? WSO or Advice Needed

So I am a video grapher.

I want to offer my services to people in my state.

I've spent all day searching through WSOs. I'm looking for information on what to offer for free.

In my niche alot of people film their own videos or don't do video at all. I want to offer them a free report or video on something so that they sign up to my list and I can market them.

I just can't think of what?

My Product that I'm trying to sell is Custom Video Services
Audience: Small Businesses
Hoped for Action: I will build list and eventually sell them my personal video services.

Any one have any advice on where I can find out how to create a FREE product that people will want to sign up for but that I will still be able to sell my services.

Advice please. All ideas much appreciated.

Why not create a video explaining the benefits of your service? Have them optin for it to view it.

Blow them away with the video production. At the end of the video pitch your service, but a buy now button under the video.

Then continue to market to them via email.

I would create a generic video 30 seconds long using some cool graphics and maybe your own B-reel that could be used for any business with some titles over the top and some music, etc. It would just be like a 30-second commercial that you simply have to change the titles to for each business. Give this free to anyone that signs up to your list, although you have to make sure and follow through and give them the option to enter their information for their video, etc.

Hope you understand what I mean.

That's one thing you could do, anyway, and it would be pretty simple for someone like you to pull off, I would think.

It may sound counter intuitive, given your service, but I'd offer a short video or report on how to create your own videos.

I'd be sure to emphasize all the advantages a promotional video can bestow on a business and in my brief tutorial, I'd slip in a few subtle hints that a serious business needs a professionally produced product.

The aim would be to come across as a helpful expert, willing to offer tips to existing video makers, while making my own service irresistable to those either uncertain of their own ability or wanting a professional to do it for them.

    I would...

    1. create a demo and hit the pavement with my laptop visiting businesses.
    2. buy a list of businesses from the chamber and send a pamphlet/letter and offer a free consultation

On your site, a good freebie would be a report on "top 10 things to look for when hiring a videographer" or a report on how to us video services for different businesses.

Sometimes we can be too close to our business to see the obvious. Some good ideas on here for you.

Also I agree with the earlier poster (Donavan I think)

Write up a free report/whitepaper/pdf ebook/series of lessons on "how to create your own promotional video for your business" and give them the instruction for the most compicated method using free tools. Point out the obstacles, bad examples etc. In the ebook promote your own service as quick, easy, professional etc.

      Good luck!

    Thanks you guys. Great ideas!

I thought about offering them advice on how to film their own video. But then I thought they'd think it was so good they wouldn't need to use my professional services.

Plus the benefit is only good to them if they are looking for video help. I was trying to think problem like and my prospects don't care about video they care about getting more sales. So I have to angle it some way.

But thanks for the ideas. they all got my juices flowing;-)

Why don't you come up with a 5 - 7 Days eCourse. At the end of the day, offer them your service?
