Launching my first product - Any tips?

Hey there,

I've created a product based on my own experiences. At first I wanted to give it away for free, as I've obtained the information for free.

However, working on it cost me quite a bit more time than I originally intended. Therefore I'm considering the possibility of selling it, for a reasonable price. I'm thinking somewhere between $1 and $10.

What do you guys recommend? It's a 21 page PDF report on the very basics of Internet Marketing. Exactly what I used to get my first sale, actually. It explains nearly everything I've been doing.

There's nothing new in it for any of you experienced IM'ers , but it's all a newbie (like me) really needs to get going.

So, any help would be appreciated. What should I do?

Also, please excuse me for any mistakes in my English. I'm from the Netherlands and English is just a second language to me.

    You could sell it as a WSO. Just convert your ebook into a PDF and submit it to a place like Ejunkie.com, then place it in the WSO section and make some sales...

        Thanks alot. I think I'll start with creating a list, by giving out the eBook for free to subscribers. I'll start doing this as soon as possible =)

        It would feel wrong to sell the eBook for over $10, as I think it's just not worth anything more.

        If anyone wants to review it btw, feel free to sent me a PM with your email, and I'll mail it to you. This won't be for testimonials or anything, just hoping you could give me some advice on it, some points to work on perhaps.

        So please, only PM me when you have the time to, and feel like, giving me some advice, as this report will not teach anything new to most of you !

        I'll give out 5 copies for now.

    Elonar, I was just looking through Freemarket last night and noticed that many of the e-books there are listed for $1.

    Sure, there were a few sales for those titles. But nothing to get excited about. The maximum number of e-books a seller had sold at $1 was 74. And that was the top e-book seller. So just because something's super cheap doesn't mean it's going to fly out the door.

    The standard inexpensive price point in this industry seems to be about $7. If you list your e-book as a WSO, you have to make at least 6 sales just to break even at $7 each. Depending on the strength of your sales copy, it could be easy or extremely difficult.

    So my advice is to think strongly about your price. Don't try to go too cheap. And give much consideration to your WSO title and your sales copy.

      Do you have your own list now?

      You can create a WSO and build your list with the report, the key here its if you want to make money, build a list or both, so if you want to build your list, create a Free WSO.

      If you want to make some money sell the report on a WSO, but first ask for some warrior to review your report in order to get some real testimonials before you launch you WSO.

    maybe you can create a mailing list and every someone subscribe to your list you give it away free...in the process building up your valuable list.
