This might seem like a simple question but I haven't been able to find an answer. Let's say that I've set up an affiliate page and that I have my main product posted. Now I want to add some articles to that page. How do I adc the articles to the bottom of the post so that my main product or products don't move down the page as I add more content. I hope the question makes sense. Thanks for your help.

    You don't. It's not how it works...

    Nope.

    Make a sticky post. Then future posts will show up in second, third, fourth place under it.

    I think there's a way (direct, or via a plugin) to get your WP Posts displayed in oldest-first order, rather than newest-first.

    There is a sticky post plugin which you can use to feature his affiliate post so that it would not move down the page as you post new contents.

  • there are plugins for almost everything...

    search in google for any keyword of thing you need and throw wp, or wordpress at the end

    so try:: sticky wp plugin

    Guys, making the first post a "sticky" does nothing to change the order of the following posts. They're still displayed in "newest-first" order.

    While the OP wasn't clear about this, it seems to me he's alluding to the overall page ordering, not just one or two posts.

    (BTW, posts are not the best way to do this. Put the content on separate pages, then create a static page as a "front page" and create little summaries of each one on it. You can also get plugins that summarize other pages within a single page.)

      If I make a post about a product as an affiliate and then later I want to add content to that website instead of the post being placed above my affiliate product I was wanting to have it below it. This way the landing page a visitor comes too will always remain the same and I can continue to add content below the first post.

        So you can either point your home page (in the settings) to only show the first post; or you can order the posts from oldest to youngest so your first post will always show at the top, or you can create a page (which you can edit to add content to later if you want to) and set that as your home page. Check out the settings in your WP admin and you will see what I mean.

        Best of luck
        Ellen
