Outsourcing Articles Question

by cloudchaser22 13 replies
Hello. Um, I've never used free lancer and wanted to outsource my time by getting a free lancer to write an article for me. However, when I publish the article i.e. Ezine Articles Directory, who's name do I legally put the article under-theirs or mine?

Thank you.

If it is exclusively yours, as in they ghost wrote it for you, you can legally put your own name on it. Same with PLR articles that give you the rights to do it. (Just don't submit unaltered PLR with your name to EZA) Hope that helps.

    Hi Cloudchaser,

It is ok to put your name as a legal writer of those articles. Your ghostwriter is only a ghostwriter and you paid for their service.

To be safe, just make sure that your writer know the terms before hiring them.

    My 2 cents,

You should make sure that when you outsource your article writing that its clear between both parties that the buyer receives full intellectual property/copyrights to all the articles.

          Private Label Rights.

Speaking of PLR... does anyone know if CopyScape is a good tool to check originality of an article? Or is there a better solution?

Frank is completely right, if you hire a decent freelancer they will make all of this clear to you when you employ them in their terms of business.

Just wanted to add that if you are intending to find an article writer through one of the freelance jobs websites, be sure to check the articles you are given through copyscape BEFORE you pay for them.
