How much do you pay for subscribers to your list?

I'm curious, how much on average do you end up paying per subscriber to your IM (or other niche list)? or how much would you be willing to pay?

10c? 50c? $1? $2? $5?

Rich, the OP is asking what your cost is per lead. Most marketers pay for advertising in some form or another.

OP, like somebody else said, it really depends on the niche. It also depends on the marketer. Some people spend their money more wisely than others.

What niche are you concerned with?

It depends on which one of the niches of mine you're talking about.

My IM membership course is hardly nothing, maybe about .01 or so.

My Security industry list is a little different, that's probably about $7.50 or so. But my ROI is much higher in that industry too.

So I guess it would depend on the niche.

I don't mean the actual signing up, but getting visitors to your sign up page

Say you set up your website and drive traffic which all costs you $XXX and you end up getting X number of subscribers. How much will it work out to per subscriber?

For example, if you were to pay $200 for a solo ad and you end up getting 50 subscribers then in the end it has cost you $4 per subscriber.

This best answers the question. There is no specific digit but will depend on the niche and marketer.

Yep, it depends on the person you are doing business with and the type of market...

I don't pay anything. I just create content and products that lead them there. This has worked for many years and I haven't felt the need to change it. I've tested many strategies like solo ads, JV's, etc... and JV's work the best - but I don't pay for those so still there's no cost (unless you want to get picky and count me doing a promotion to my list as a cost, or the time it takes to write content) but I don't explicitly pay for ads anywhere.

Hmm, considering all my start up costs I would say somewhere in the realm of .10-.15 for my current list. That number obviously gets lower and lower after initial costs unless you are consistently throwing money at advertising.

Most of my traffic methods are free
