Question
About myself
I've just left my job (SEO account manager), and am now keen to do my own freelance work and also really give affiliate marketing a proper chance. I already have one affiliate website which make on average about $50 a month with a rubbish design.
The main reason I started this job was because it was part-time and would have allowed me to build my affiliate marketing income. But, the owner, really took advantage as it was a start-up and there was no contract and I ended up working full-time on a part-time salary. Therefore, I had no choice other than to leave.
I live in central London, and this has left me in the red financially. My main aim has always been to build an income from affiliate marketing and freelance SEO work. I'm now free from the job, but I still have to pay rent and the job didn't allow me to make any savings for rent and to buy new domains.
With my financial situation and my goal of being independently successful in affiliate marketing and SEO, I have two options.
1. I can get a 9-5 job and do my affiliate marketing work in the evenings.
2. I can temporily claim JSA and housing benefits and work heavily (i.e 10 hours a day) for 2/3 months until affiliate marketing becomes a solid income and also cold call businesses for SEO work.
Apologies, for overwhelming you on my first post. But I would really appreciate suggestions and inspriation from fellow Warriors, who have been in similar situations.
Thanks,
Nigel
