Having Trouble With Your DL Guard Order Links Today?!!!

My DL Guard links to Clickbank aren't working today! Aaargh!

Sams DL Guard is an awesome product and so is his customer service but since he is in Australia and probably asleep now I am hoping some smart person out there might know how to fix this problem until I hear back from Sam...

When I click on BOTH of my order links now, instead of going to the Clickbank order page, I'm getting stuck on a white page with this message at the top of the page:
Site error:
the file /home/myusername/public_html/mysite/DLGuard/sell.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

Obviously it should be going to Clickbanks order pages! The same thing happens when I try to login to my DL Guard admin page too.

I sent a message through Sam's ticket system and contacted my webhost Hostgator/SEO Hosting and they submitted a 'fix it' ticket.

Meanwhile (since I am losing orders and need to fix this asap), does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks.
Steve

    Hi Steve,

The Ioncube loaders this error message refers to are freely available but need to be installed by your hosting companies administrators.

Was it working before and is now broken or has it never worked?

    Cheers,

    Andy

      I agree with the others.

It's not an issue with DL Guard itself so waiting for Sam to get up will just waste more time.

Get onto your web host and show them the error you're getting.

They should be able to get you up and running before Sam's even out of bed.

      Cheers,

      Neil

Yes, thanks everyone, they always worked before and they are back to working again...thank gawd!

I contacted Hostgator/SEO Hosting and this is what they sent back to me:

I've installed a custom php.ini configuration file into the root directory '/' of your account and the link next to $47 is now loading properly.

So it seems that Sam's DL Guard is working flawlessly (as usual) and the problem was with the host. I asked them to tell me why that happened.

Shouldn't our hosts alert us when they do stuff like that so we will know to check our order links to make sure everything still works properly? I would never have found out had it not been for a couple potential customers emailing me about the problem. Geez, I shudder at the thought of being away on a trip and maybe out of touch and not knowing about that.

      Thanks
      Steve

Wait a minute. Sam sleeps? I thought he was a robot that didn't need sleep. My illusions have been shattered.

This problem looks like it is with Hostgator - ioncube / zend are two security related scripts. I know I had to install ioncube to make something work a while back on another host. Hostgator (as far as I know) have both already installed.

When I have a urgent problem with hostgator I just call them and get it sorted on the phone - always found they were first class at getting things sorted.

Hope you get it fixed - its a real pain when the machines take a break

In an ideal world they would tell you about changes like that but margins on webhosting are so small these days that they don't really have the resources to spare.

Hmmm, I have links like that on Hostgator and haven't had this problem.

I've had this problem every time HostGator does an update. They definitely know about the issue and are usually quick to solve once you discover the issue and report it to them.

Hmmm....looks like I'm not really needed here

Though we have already spoken via the support ticket, Steve, I'm glad HostGator sorted your site out!

    cheers

      Hi Sam

Glad we could help while you were sleeping. My invoice is in the mail.

Gotta love hosts that break our scripts. At least they fixed this one, they usually just hit the "blame the developer" button

      Cheers,
