Which payment processors understand product lauches,

For those of you who have done product launches, which payment processor did you use?

Which payment processors understand product lauches, and let them happen without getting suspicious /halting/pausing/holding your funds?

Well number one would be clickbank, that is what they do, secondly paypal, but ring them first and let them know what is going on.

I would never use Paypal for a launch, I have heard too many stories of funds being withheld for 6 months at a time. It happens when you have the type of activity a launch can bring.

I would definitely suggest you use a processor that is tried and tested for these types of product launches, such as Clickbank. The next step would be getting your own merchant account setup but that can be costly and time-consuming.

Yeah agreed willr, have heard if you ring and explain what is coming they are pretty good. Waste of time though when you can just use clickbank

I've heard of those who have even taken the time to warn them yet still ended up in trouble. The problem is Paypal does not understand the whole product launch thing. In their mind, it is not normal for an account that has been getting the odd money here and there to get hundreds of transactions in only a couple of days - and then there are the refunds.

          Not worth the risk.

Are clickbank prepared for product launches?

even if $80,000 a day ones? (assuming that much is reached).

and what payment processor did John Reese use for his Million dollar launch?

Yes, Clickbank have done a ton of these launches, launches that have done hundreds of thousands of dollars in only one or two days. It's their game. They understand the whole process and they have the technology to back it up.

When you are looking at what some of the bigger marketers use, guys like Reese, Kern, Morin, etc, you have to remember that most of the courses these guys sell are highly priced meaning they are dealing with a lot less customers and a lot less transactions.

It will take only 500 transactions to reach $1 Million selling a $1997 product.

It will take over 10,000 transactions to reach $1 Million selling a $47 product.

Clickbank is used to dealing with the launches of lower prices and higher number of transactions.

Clickbank usually handles launches pretty well.

However, some people like to have a little more control over the whole launch. A merchant account is a good option for you in that case. There are many, many options for you but quite a few people prefer PowerPay.biz. I haven't used them myself, so can't comment on the reliability. :-)

What does he mean marketers want more control over the whole launch?

-more control that clickbank doesn't give?

does he mean by tweaking the order page? or link?

Do you have many of your own products selling on RAP?

Set up a merchant account, with using clickbank?

or you mean as an alternative?

Powerpay. It is the best for marketers that do Launches. The reason... They understand Launches. Armand Morin is either their biggest affiliate, or has some type of vested interest. Which is true I do not know. My point to that is Armand has obliviously helped PowerPay understand what we do.

Maybe... it's just difficult to tell reading their website
It reminds you of a "blind sales copy" - you have to contact them to figure out what they do and how they do it.

Agreed - many IMers speak highly of Powerpay.. However, last I heard it was only available to U.S. residents and/or businesses.

Does anyone know if this is still the case?

I can assure you that ringing them first doesn't make a difference. I don't recommend PayPal for product launches. Anything that is outside your normal pattern of sales will freak them out. Make too many sales in one day and bye bye PayPal and bye bye money, for a few months anyway.

I often wonder if anyone has had this problem running as WSO on this very forum?
