Which Do You Recommend, Wordpress or Static website?

hey fellow warrior,

I am just curious as to which would be better for me to do. Would it be better for me to have a blog on my home page rather than the regular static website.

Which will rank easier?

Which do you prefer to do?

Is there a advantage of using a blog over the regular websites?

    With wordpress you can have the site and the blog all on your domain. Check out my site mary-green.com it is all one wordpress installation and wordpress is great for seo and rankings.

    This was a thread about 2 weeks ago, actually for ease of operation, a Wordpress CMS site is the way to go.

    There's a bit of a learning curve but tons of tutorials are available along with advice here in the WF forum as well.

    Let me save you some time:

    Wordpress, Wordpress, Wordpress

    Google loves wordpress installs full of content, I've started blogs, hired a few writers and started getting good keyword traffic within the first month.

    Wordpress is much easier to work with on a code level as well as its extremely simple to modify and just inject your own things into.

    It's also extremely easy to inject wordpress into other things. Just break where the template loader is called and make a few custom templates and you can call wordpress elements all over a static page.

    Not to mention with a few simple plugins wordpress will become a full cms. The actual data points you need to track in a cms are very simple, and it's always best to keep them that way. (Icky joomla nightmares)

      Both & cross promote is what I'd do.

      EDUCATE with your website.

      CONTENT & PRODUCTS on blog.

      Or other way round.

      For example.

    Wordpress does so much in so little time - blog, quotes, testimonials, tell-a-friend, share-this, social media, maps - you name the feature and there is most certainly a plug-in ... if not rentacoder or elance can get one built for cheap. Also, Wordpress has RSS feeds built-in and ping-o-matic to ping other sites when you post a new article. And the SEO plugins are phenomenal!! (Headspace2 is my favorite)

    Free themes galore too... you can have a fully functional, and beautiful, wordpress site in less than 10 minutes (with some practice) -- John reiss (I think) had a video on how to install a wordpress membersite in less then 12 minutes... and he did it live with the start/stop timer.

    I run over 30 Wordpress sites and Google loves them -- I will never turn to a static page again...
