The big autoresponder companies are multi-million dollar companies who have entire staffs dedicated to making sure the mail gets delivered. That is a big deal in autoresponders.

If you could compete with that and offer a better product at a lower price, I would bet you have a chance at making a good income.

I don't know your situation, maybe that is something you would be interested in doing. I think Listwire is its own company, not a white label clone of Aweber or GetResponse, but I am not sure.

I really prefer to pay for a good service as aweber.

With your own system you are limited for several issues, as what happens if something goes wrong with the software, and the spam its also an issue.

It's so much easier to banned from Yahoo mail, hotmail, gmail and other services if you use your own software.

I used POMMO a couple of times, but my host did not like me sending out a lot of emails, so they stopped the script from running.

I did not try it again after that and just stuck with aweber.

There was another thread here about this a week or so ago and I think it wound up that you could use SMTP service, but I don't really know what that is.

I would guess that you might need a pretty good hosting account to have enough accounts to make any money and you would need to be able to give people a really good reason to join your service instead of Aweber.

9 times out of 10 I would venture that the reason would be price, and that is a real hard thing to compete on.
