Article Marketing RoCkSS!!!

Hi,

Can i just say that i <3 the warriorforum....I just made a thread a few days back inquiring about article marketing and i got several helpful replies..

Here is the thread
Code:
http://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/330693-article-marketing-questions-kindly-help.html
so i finally took action and wrote 8 articles in the last 5 days....i know..i know... and first got them indexed on my blog (as advised) and then submitted the same articles to articlebase and then to ezine articles...while articlebase accepted my article's overnight ezine articles was slow...and today my first article got accepted into EA and this is the email i received from them:

Yes, i am a 17 year old "expert" in a Mental health niche ..... Only ONE ARTICLE and i already they EA gave me EXPERT status....i almost didn't believe it. This has given me the necessary motivation needed to write more and get better at this. I would like to thank alexa smith, tpw, myob, JmichaelZ and other member's for pointing me in the right direction.

Thank you,
Kunal

EDIT: i guess...blacking out with ms paint didn't really help hide it

Update: 70 visitors from EA and atriclebase ... 2 sales made!

My first article was 1500 words, got instant expert status.
Doesn't always work, but worth trying when you're setting up tons of different accounts (one per niche)

Ouch!! it was like a 700 word article that took me 4 hours to write...and like 1/2 an hour of research before i wrote it.. i sure hope that the above is not the case:confused:

Oh, well you're doing THAT all wrong - you're supposed to Google for 37 seconds and then write your 250-word article in 8 minutes! I dunno who's giving out the advice round here!

This was like "preliminary" research...i didn't know much about the niche so i gathered up info and wrote down important points in my own words in a .txt file and then wrote the article based on the info i had collected..im new so my typing speed is below average and i was writing it while watching TV so i had to spend a good 10 minutes correcting my spelling and grammar.

            ill pick up my pace...

edit: im not focusing on SEO, i want to get my content syndicated to other sites...250 word articles thrown together after 30 seconds of research wouldn't help me succeed in what i am primarily trying to achieve..

Your call dude, but what if you gave someone - bad - advice?

As you say, you're not an expert. Think for a minute if it was your family member that read/acted upon your 'advice'

Some things should be left to the real experts.

Woah Woah Woah....calm down...im just giving normal advice like how exercise produces serotonin in your brain which is PROVEN to induce a good mood...In most of my other articles i always tell them that since the symptoms are serious, they should consult an expert and get a proper diagnosis, I dont give any kind of advice if i dont have my fact's straight.....But i understand your concern .

Hey, I don't want to rain on your parade but your article won't help you. If you keep on churning out articles like this, I doubt you'll make more than a couple of sales a year.

Firstly, there are too many spelling mistakes:

    Unites State's
    teenage year's
    anxious thought's
    report's
start thing (instead of 'start thinking')

Those are just from the first paragraph.

Then you have poorly constructed sentences:

"That build up anxious thought's in your mind which then lead to a panic attack."

"they just think you're overreacting, it ok." (this sentence even starts with a lower case 't'.)

I don't want to be mean to you but it makes me wonder about quality control at Ezine.

You may argue that spelling and grammar aren't that important. Rather, the spirit of the message rings true. But it doesn't.

People who suffer from anxiety and panic attacks already know a lot about the disorder. They have heard all the old advice before and nothing included in your article says anything new. I don't know if you have suffered from anxiety before but your article doesn't ring true. The article reads like you searched online for tips on dealing with panic attacks and then created a list out of some of them. This hardly bodes well in terms of potential insights on your blog.

Your link is not a keyword but VISIT KUNAL'S BLOG NOW!!!

    This won't help you SEO-wise.

Your blog is obviously designed to send visitors to clickbank. This pretty much destroys any credibility you managed to acquire.

After the critcism here are some tips

    • Write about something you actually have experience of. This way fellow sufferers, enthusiasts, etc. will know you are one of them and not some cut & paste hack-job merchant.
    • Aim to have one, possibly two, original ideas per article. Direct your energies at hitting this idea home, hard. You want all your readers to take what you are saying on board. Don't aim to have readers think "oh, those were some useful tips" but rather "this guy is on to something!"
    • Depending on the subject of your article you should challenge, goad, defy your readers not to, click on the link in your resource box. This doesn't mean you should be an ass about it. Just don't ask people to click on your link. The reader shouldn't think that by clicking on your link s/he's doing you any favours. The flow should run straight from your article title, down through the resource box and on to your website.
    • Once the reader is on your website it should be full of useful content. This content should be well-organised and easy to navigate. Each article should again target one or two ideas that are original, well thought out and well communicated. What you are building is trust. Your visitors will come to see you as a credible source of information - a guy who knows what he is talking about.
    • This is why, when you do recommend a product or service (that you are affiliated with) people trust your judgment. Visitors should see the product and think "well if he says it's good, it damn well is good."
    • Finally, this is why your blog should be on a subject allied with the product you are trying to sell. Not about the same thing. It stands to reason that if you create a website with 100 quality articles on a particular subject - people will be reluctant to shell out $47 for an ebook on the same subject.

How did that article even get approved? I've had articles that got denied by EZA in the past for a single spelling mistake, and you found several. It's been a while since I've done anything with them, have the quality standards dropped significantly in the past year or so?

Yea i know there were a LOT of mistakes in there, I managed to spot a few but i guess i missed out on a lot of them.
I am interested in this topic,i have been trying to sell this product for like 6 months and have managed to learn quite a bit about it during the process.
I am still testing out my blog and what format works best And i will definitely put your advice to action.
I am in no hurry to "make sales" i am willing to learn and test things out.

ANd yes, i did suffer from anxiety a while ago.. mainly due to domestic disputes...i have had to undergo counseling, and took me sometime to come out of it. So yea i DO know what im writing about and i find this subject quite entertaining. And the advice i give out is genuine and i do proper research before i write anything.

Thank you for your feedback.. ill try to put most of it into action.

I'm sorry to hear than you have suffered from anxiety in the past but glad to hear you have come out of it. I work with people who suffer from anxiety disorders in the UK.

If you want to create a useful and effective blog (and one that will make sales) then you'd be far better off making posts about your own experiences with anxiety rather than general advice. You don't have to give personal or indentifying information but write something that contributes positively to people currently suffering from anxiety. The main thing would be to offer hope that it can be beaten.

A couple of affiliate links to panic away would be much more effective than any kind of sales pitch for the product.

But a word of caution. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable avocating a product that I didn't know was effective and actually worked.

        Good luck with your endeavours.

Wait you don't automatically become an expert after your first post? I thought it was just what they called anyone who contributed to their site. I am 13 years old and was recognized as an investment expert after my first article so I know how you feel, very motivating.

Even more motivating now that I know that most people don't receive expert status after their first article.

Congrats on getting your first article approved at ezine. I remember when I got my first article approved (after being rejected and editing 3 times, lol) and got the 'expert" statues. I couldn't believe it, but then a few minutes latter, I realized they give it to everyone who submits their first article because it makes ezine look like an authority site where only 'experts" are published.

Either way, its a great filling knowing how hard it is to get articles approved at ezine. Best of luck to you.

I’m sorry for disappointing you too, however ALL authors who have an article accepted by ezinearticles are considered Expert Authors.

When I had submitted my first article in 2007 and they had sent me exactly the same message you received, I thought that ezinearticle’s editors were very good because they could recognize that I’m really an expert author by reading my first article!

    I’m a real writer.

However, later I understood that EVERYONE there is considered an Expert Author if his/her article is accepted for publication.

Yeah, you can't read too far into the "Expert Author" email... everyone gets one who gets an article approved.

Where I will commend you is on doing the work. Many people would submit one or two, complain it doesn't work, and then come here making a post saying "Article Marketing Sucks!!" The fact that you are sticking with it proves a lot.

You do need to work on the writing though, but there is nothing wrong with getting paid while you get better.

I dont think writing about how i saw my dad slowly die of cancer when i was 12 will help anyone feel better...I mean..sure...some of them could relate, im just not too fond of sharing my sob stories ...id rather just point them towards the solution and get it over with..

I got 2 sales with my blogger blog with like 60 visitors...so now i know what works...i just registered a .org domain....now the real fun begins.

      Thanks
      kunal

Congratulations for taking it this way, rammonster! It’s nice to be an expert author even if this is not such a big deal. You surely can become the best expert author in your field if you want to.

I advise you to regular visit ezinearticle’s blog. They give you many interesting article writing and marketing lessons.

Congratulations for making 2 sales after writing a few articles, while you are only a teenager. There are many adults who cannot make half sale even after writing many articles…

And congratulations because even though your story is so sad, you are a happy teen, and you are working online.

so i finally took action and wrote 8 articles in the last 5 days....i know..i know... and first got them indexed on my blog (as advised) and then submitted the same articles to articlebase and then to ezine articles...while articlebase accepted my article's overnight ezine articles was slow...and today my first article got accepted into EA and this is the email i received from them:

Yes, i am a 17 year old "expert" in a Mental health niche ..... Only ONE ARTICLE and i already they EA gave me EXPERT status....i almost didn't believe it. This has given me the necessary motivation needed to write more and get better at this. I would like to thank alexa smith, tpw, myob, JmichaelZ and other member's for pointing me in the right direction.

    Thank you,
    Kunal

EDIT: i guess...blacking out with ms paint didn't really help hide it

Update: 70 visitors from EA and atriclebase ... 2 sales made!

Ezine award you for the great content. Few weeks ago I created a new account and uploaded 10 articles on a medical niche and after accepting those 10 articles they immediately converted my account to platinum account.
