Can You Use DLGuard with existing customers?

Hello there,

say hypothetically that you have a product in the market place and then you decide to add dlguard for future buyers.

Can you also use dlguard for existing customers who may not have already downloaded all the information and how would you do that?

    Hi Colleen,

    Yes, you certainly can, as long as you have a list of your current customers.

    DLGuard has a "Mass Import" for customers, where you can add all of their details into DLGuard.

    You can have an option to send all of these imported customers an email when you import them as well, and this email will contain their download link.



    Or, alternatively, you can just leave your old download site up and running for another two weeks, while DLGuard is collecting new orders.

    Then after two weeks, close the old method down.

    If someone contacts you because they haven't yet downloaded, then you can just Import them in at that time.



    There's two options - it'll depend on your business and download model as to which would be best for you.
