what is the difference btw "Google Content" and "Google Search"

by Furyx2 2 replies
I read the following couple of sentences and it confused me:

"If you are using Google Content I suggest using broad match. If you are using Google Search, use whichever you like however I would recommend going with Phrase or Exact match to control your spending better"

I feel like that answer is simple, but I'm sooo confused!

It's probably referring to the Google Content Network (now called the Display Network) and the organic Google Search results. The former is used for advertising on other people's websites through AdSense, whereas the latter is for advertising (via AdWords) on Google search engine results pages.
