I have 8 aweber lists, in many niches, spread out. and market to them differently.


who has the biggest number of aweber lists?

    AWeber allows you to easily manage different lists from different projects. I have a number of sites and blogs that I use to sell a number of different products and services. I use separate opt-in forms and keep my lists for each opt-in under a different name.

    So far I have 36 lists on my aweber account. I know some folks don't bother to do this, but I want to know what marketing strategies are working best for me. One can always combine lists later to make them easy to manage.

      I only have about 15 myself, but I always partition off subscribers to keep the marketing targeted.

        So it is alright for me to have my own website / opt in list for say
        BestSteakRestaurants in UK website

        and my girlfriend to have her own website / optin list for say
        BestveggieRestauarants in the UK site

        But just use the 1 account?


        Now if we did a combined 3rd site say; best uk Restaurants... could we import opt ins from either our main sites and use these details for the third site ?

      In that case you're doing list building all wrong.

      At a minimum, you should have a prospect list and a
      buyers list.

      Then, segement your lists by subject area and product
      purchased so that you can send more highly relevant
      messages to your list.

      Also, have a separate list for affiliates and JV partners.

      Building ONE big list and treating everyone the same is
      a sure-fire way of getting sub-optimal results.

          If you're using the Analytics version of AWeber, you can
          segment your lists a number of ways...

          - Based on things like what links people have (or haven't)
          clicked on

          - Based on what e-mails they have opened (or supposedly
          not opened as open rate metrics are unreliable

          - Based on the contents of a custom field

          - You can use automatically unsubscribe someone from
          your prospect list whenever they get added to one of your
          buyer lists:

          - You can create individual lists for each subject area
          or offer you make.

          The ease with which you can segment your lists depends
          upon what you're using to manage your autoresponders,
          e.g. AWeber, Infusionsoft, iContact, or self-hosted solutions.

            From experience, and if I could go back, I'd lean toward a lot fewer lists and focus better on those instead of having the dozens I have.

              From experience too, I prefer to manage lists (and my
              client's lists) well by segmenting wherever practical.

              Yes - it's extra work. But it's worth it.

              Segmenting is a proven way to get more relevant messages
              to your prospects and customers so they tune-in to your
              e-mails for longer.

              Having fewer lists and treating them mostly the same is a
              way to decrease list responsiveness.

              At the same time, it's important not to segment willy nilly
              and add unnecessary complexity.

              Learning how to segment effectively pays off in my
              experience. Creating an effective list segmentation plan
              up front is key.

    I am not sure about importing lists, not sure if Aweber allows this.

    But, yes, you can have multiple lists on 1 aweber account!

    I have one account with probably 17 segments for one niche. I use the automation rules to add people to hotlists or purchased lists, webinar invitees & attendees, etc...

    I'm not on Aweber...

    Though I currently have 23 separate lists. Lists are divided on product purchased, freebie downloaded, affiliates for products, a newsletter and blog updates.

    Affiliates
    Prospective buyers
    Previous Customers

    I currently have 52 separate email lists in six different niches - although many have less than 100 subscribers.

    I have prospects lists, buyers lists, lists for people who took the OTO, affiliates lists and blog update lists.

    You need to segment your subscribers to deliver the most targeted messages possible.
