Lots of articles on Hubpages, Monetized by Amazon and Kontera

Do you really make money from Hubpages?

If so, how much (roughly!).

How many hubs have you created?

Average number of words in a hub?

What monetizing techniques do you use and where in the hub?

I DON'T want to hear from hubbers, who don't do affiliate marketing on Hubpages but rather earns from the hubs themselves.

Any idea. It may seem like an old question, but I guess this might get interesting if we start hearing from horses' mouth.

I make money from Hubpages through promoting Clickbank products. I tried to promote Amazon products, but not so successful.

It's a very small niche. I haven't made much money of it, just get a few sales occasionally.

I have 104 hubs I have had an account for a couple years now. I monetize them with 2 affiliate links, adsense, and Amazon ads on a lot of them but like previous comment they really are not worth it.

The money comes from the affiliate links. If your hub ranks well for a lucrative keyword phrase you will make money on it here and there. Just keep pumping them out.

If I have to work on them, then I must say it is really NOT worth it. I would rather work on my own blog then.

I own about 170 hubs and I earn several hundred dollars per month from them in addition to traffic to my own sites.

I think you mean AdWords. If so, promoting product review pages can be difficult if you don't know what you are doing.

      Adsense - For publishers

      Adwords - For advertisers

And if you are talking about PPC, it is rather not logical 'cos if you pay for a click and then earning from a click, it just doesn't sum up together!

I'm not sure I agree with this. I make hundreds of dollars per month with only 160 hubs. Approximately 2 out of every 3 hubs that I create are product-based hubs that are indexed and ranked on page 1 for my targeted keyword within 48 hours.

Very rarely does a hub of mine take longer than 3 days to start generating traffic and clicks.

So, you basically create unique post for your blog and also for your hubs?! Why would do that much work?

My hubs are monetized with Adsense and Amazon. I also use my hubs to drive traffic to my sites. Since HP TOS state that hubs must be 100% unique to allow self serving links, I make sure my hubs are not just re-posted from my sites.

The little bit of extra work (and it really is only a little bit) produces fantastic dividends.

And you don't do marketing for your sites apart from what traffic you get from Hubpages?

The only other marketing that I do for my sites (not all of them) is AdWords PPC.
