PDF Software Question??

Hey everyone,

It seems that there no shortage of free PDF convectors online. However, do you know which one enables you to write a personalized & clickable 'table of contents' on the left hand side of the document?

I know you can do it in Acrobat, but what other software does it?

    How would you personalize the table of contents?
    (by which I mean, what kind of customization are you looking for? a different table of contents for each person, a name inserted somewhere? links going to different placed depending on some factor?)

    Thanks for your comments.

    The customization is nothing fancy. It's just abobe acrobat allows you to bookmark sections/pages and write a link in the side that opens up when you read the document in reader.

    Just wondering how this is done with other non-expensive software,
