      My honest opinion is that the site is a good start, but it needs improvement. I had a look at it for about 3 minutes and already found inconsistency.

      Spelling/grammar
      You should try to be grammatically correct. For instance, you wrote "other peoples affiliate programme" ... that should say correctly "other people's ..."
      Also, you use the word "program" and "programme". I suggest you stick to one and not switch back and forth.

      Your site loads in roughly 2.5 seconds (pingdom) which is great. But I am not a big fan of the popup window when I get to your site.

      I think if you keep working on the design elements (make color css changes to be more appealing) then you can make this site pretty good.

      Last but not least, start creating backlinks. You don't have any at the moment.

        Thanks for the advice, I will run through the grammar again, as for the back links, I am working on that now. Thanks again.

    hey gazstevens

    I have a diploma in media design so let me give you some of my opinion.

    Like what Margy mentioned, I got the pop up window and its really irritating which make me feel you have a spammy site (no offence). I will suggest you design a header to place it on top instead of just writing the word "Affiliates Programmes" which is repeated twice.

    For your "News" and "Other Sites", if I am not wrong I believe they are rss feeds you got from other site. If possible make each feed's title Bold and maybe change the colour.

      I opened your site and once it load up I thought it was a blank site. I need to scroll down more where you could just arrange it not just all in the left alignment. You also might wanna consider putting or changing the color to make it more appealing.

    Hey Gaz,

    I think you need a stronger title than just "Affiliate programmes". Let people know what the benefit is of them scrolling down and reading the rest of the page.

    Perhaps you're trying to rank for that keyword, which is fine (although I imagine quite competitive) but you still need to be able to make it reader-friendly if you want to convert traffic into sales.

    If anything also write it out like a traditional sales page, where the headlines are strong and stand out, and the call to action is clear. I honestly don't know what you want me to do if I hit that site.

    What's the aim of the website? What do you want people to do once they get there?

    Make it clear, and make it easy for them to do that.

    Hope that helps,

    Simon

    Just one specific to share, If you want anyone to sign up for the newsletter there is going to have to some sort of irresistable offer about your content. Almost no one wants more email unless it's about something they are really interested in and they perceive to be valuable.

    Nav buttons strike me as weird.

    I would capitalize the second word too.

    Affliate program->Affiliate Program
    Affiliate business->Affiliate Business

    And if fire fox hadn't prevented those pop up for me, that would have really annoyed me.
