At #1 for a bunch of my keywords. What now?
I have spent a couple of months doing on site seo and building backlinks. The site has shown a steady rise in SERP and is now at #1 for 4 of the keywords (14 in total I am shooting for).
I have a guy doing 20HPW manual backlinks. Things seem to be progressing fairly well.
So, my question is to those of you who have smaller niche-y sites at #1 for your keywords:
What do I do now?-
Should I just keep plugging on with the backlink-building for all keywords, even the ones at #1?
Should I throttle back on the ones at #1 and just focus time on the ones that I want to get higher SERP on?
What happens when all the keywords are at #1 - do I keep building backlinks at the same rate / cost, or do I cut back to, say, 50% and just put in additional work if something slips? - I htink what Im asking is, is there as much work involved in maintaining a position as there is in raising it?
