I am still very new to the WF and I would appreciate your advice on when to launch a WSO.

With all your experience have you noticed better success on a certain day of the week and time to launch a WSO?

And also when is a good time to launch one so that it might stay on the first 2 pages longer?

And when do you find it is appropriate to bump?
I want to do this right and I don't want to annoy anyone by seeing the same thing too often.

Any tips on how to handle a new WSO launch would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I think you should launch your WSO when you are fully setup with whatever you are going to offer, that would be the best time. This is the internet there are different schedules followed by the members, people from around the world come here so again there is no question of a definite "time".

You can bump I think when it reaches the 3td or the 4th page.

About how long it stays, depends on how many WSO's are offered after yours.

    Good Luck.

I guess I should add that its about ready to go. I'm just wondering if there is a better day of the week.
Are mondays any better than tuesdays? Or are Thursdays and Fridays typically the best days to launch?
I see how it doesn't matter what time of day since the internet is non-stop due to all the people around the world.

Sarah, from my observation it seems like Tuesday is one of the 'heavy traffic' days, so it might not be a bad day to launch your WSO, especially if you're new here and would like to receive more exposure.

Sarah, there are differing opinions on this, and the short answer (from my observation) is that it really doesn't matter. You can either choose to launch at a peak time (early morning US time up till about lunch) or sometime late like after midnight. If you launch early in the morning, it's likely your WSO will get lots of exposure, but not remain on the first page for very long. If you launch at an off-peak time, you'll stay on the first page longer but not get as many views (but the extended time your WSO remains on the first page pretty much makes up for it).

With that said, I'd also like to mention that you probably don't want to launch your WSO on the weekend, as the traffic seems to taper off on Saturday and especially Sunday, so as long as you avoid these days you should be fine.

What I'd suggest doing is getting your WSO thread approved as early as possible, so that you have the luxury of choosing what time to launch it - don't wait till the last minute to do this!

You won't be able to choose an exact time to release your WSO as it takes a while to be approved by the forum before it is listed.

From my experience, it is best to release a WSO when the forum is quiet so your WSO stays towards to the top of the list for a long enough time to generate some conversation and reviews. If you release it during prime time you will probably get a spike in traffic but most people don't buy until they see some reviews and by the time you get some reviews coming in, your WSO will have made its way down the page.

At the start you should bump your WSO as soon as possible to get all the new traffic but once it is established you probably only need to bump it a couple of times a week. I normally only bump mine when it gets to the end of page 4 of the WSO section (you are allowed to bump once it falls off page 2).

As far as the best day to release...I don't think it matters too much but it is a good idea to change the times and days that you bump your WSO so you can reach people from all timezones.

    Hope that helps!

EDIT: Reviews are important, especially at the start so make sure you ask people to leave you some feedback (positive or negative) once they have bought it...or you can give away a few review copies to make that process faster.

What she could do is submit the WSO sales thread well in advance so that it's approved early (as long as you submit this from about 8 am EST all the way to about 4 pm EST, the approval process is actually pretty quick), so this way she'd be able to pick the precise time to launch her WSO.

You can in fact choose when your WSO will go live and that is when you make payment to PayPal.

You can have your thread authorized and not pay it for a few days, so you have every opportunity to pay for it and make it go live at any time you want.

It does not matter. There would be plenty of WSO's submitted in peak times that have flopped and made hardly any sales. There would be plenty of WSO's submitted in quiet times that have made a heap of sales - and vice versa.

The only thing you should be worried about is the WSO itself. I don't understand the people who waste all their time worrying about the best time to submit. The best time to submit is when your WSO is ready to go - nothing else should come into play.

It's usually the people who over complicate things that end up with the worst results. Submit your WSO when it is ready and if it's good enough, you will make sales. Remember, you can always bump your WSO at a later stage and test some different days of the week and times of the day. If you can't afford to bump the WSO then it probably means it wasn't a good seller and isn't worth bumping again anyway.

Do you think it would be a good idea to give it out to a few people before to get some reviews on it? This is an idea that I have been toying with.

This is a popular idea on the forum. It helps if you choose those that have been around for a long time and have a reputable background here on WF. Also, allowing those that are experts in whatever your WSO is about is a good idea too. Good luck!

      Sarah,

I would instead offer some review copies at a heavily discounted price. You do not want people who have never gone through your product giving you a review - which is what happens a lot here on these forums. Also unless you do not value the information in your product, why would you want to give it away? It's just a mugs way of getting reviews and testimonials. A really good product will speak for itself and get reviews without having to coax them out of people by giving the product away for free.

No one is going to give the same amount of attention to your product as someone who has paid money for the product. I also don't necessarily agree with going after all the people who have high post counts and have been on the forum a long time. Quite often you see those same names giving reviews on WSO after WSO and they become worthless as it's clear they would promote the opening of a jam jar.

I have been offered by several people to review their products and both times I said I would but never got around to going through the product due to lack of time and interest. I could have just written a quick paragraph and left it at that but I refuse to give a testimonial for a product I have not gone through thoroughly. Unfortunately there are a lot of Warriors out there who don't hold the same values.

You don't want people like me giving you a standard run of the mill review just for the sake of it. You want someone who has gone through your course and can give a nice detailed review.

Of course. Reviews can make or break a WSO, especially if you're fairly new to the forum. It'd be best to give out review copies in advance before you launch your WSO, so that your reviewers have adequate time to go through your product and leave a review when it is launched.

If you decide to do that, make sure you are asking respected members of the community. The reason I say that is there are plenty of freebie seekers who will ask for a review copy and never actually give you a review, so make sure you choose who reviews your WSO wisely.

Sarah, here is a free tool you can use to help you time when to post a WSO.

    url=http://bendyapps.com/apps/wsoeye/

It's a real myth buster (in that you will see too many people following the myth that it's best to post on a Wednesday afternoon, which makes it the worst time to post, because you will only be on page one for a matter of minutes )

Of the many WSO's I've done, I've never really been able to correlate launch/bump time with any real results. It's better to focus on the WSO itself, make sure it contains as much info as possible, is completely honest and interesting to read. Then bump it whenever it drops off.

Maybe after a year or so you could narrow down a good day and time, but I think it's something that's fairly random and not worth worrying about.
