Logged in to Clickbank this morning on my way to the market place to discover I had made my first sale a couple days ago!
Now I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting this. I was hoping for it, but because of my sites newness (and my newness to IM) I was surprised and very excited to see it.
I've been IMing for under 2 months. I'm 18, have no real special talent for writing, web design, article marketing, coding or understanding of coding or anything techy for that fact. In saying that, I'm learning as I go and I have an awesome bro who's helping a lot.
It was certainly not easy. In the time leading up to this moment, I've found myself frustrated over the most simple things, spent a lot of the time reading and more or less doing things 5 times slower than I expect them to take in the future (not to mention getting sidetracked along the way). This is OK, I realise this and I know it's a given in the learning process.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's a process. Many people come to IM expecting a quick fix and that in turn is their downfall. Take your time, do your research, learn, apply, learn, apply, stick to one course of action. It is the same message many warriors teach and it just proves itself correct.
Hopefully one day I can make a full time income from IM, but for now I'm just happy I got a sale. I aim to 'scale it up' as advised vigorously by warriors in other threads - this includes building a list (an opt-in and an auto responder, Aweber to begin with or a free provider till I get used to it?) while optimizing/improving my site and increasing back link efforts.
It's so easy to get lost in IM. But you've already heard that before. Stick at it. If I can do it, so can you.
Well I hoped that motivated you a bit, if nothing else.
To the Future!
