Whenever I optin to someones autoresponder, I always check to see how fast it takes to get to my Yahoo inbox. Aweber literally can take an hour or more. I've experienced it. Not Getresponse though.

Who cares. This is not a speed game (an email to confirm opt-in is an exception though).

It's better if it takes longer. That means they don't send the emails at the same time. Getting a bunch of the same emails at the same time is red flag for an email server (spammers do that).

What about the recipient? When they're expecting an instant response and they don't get it, they could easily think it's not coming at all.

As we know, online, people don't wait. They move on because the next site is only a click away.

        Cheers,

Like I said, there is only one exception: a confirmation email.

I wasn't referring to confirmation emails. There are all sorts of emails that the recipient wants immediately.

And they know little and care less about the hurdles email marketers have to jump.

            Cheers,

The best way to increase Yahoo deliverability is to use DomainKeys since Yahoo relies on it to figure out if the message is spam or not (among other things).

This only matters if the "from" in your email message appears to be originating from your own purchased domain. So if you are sending email from GR or AW as info@yourdomain.com, then contact either of the companies to get DomainKeys setup asap. All it requires is a minor tweak to your DNS records at Namecheap or GoDaddy.

While you're at it, get SPF setup too. These 2 factors will greatly influence your ability to get into the inbox or junkbox.

      Thanks Blue,

I've heard of the SPF and reverse dns setup required...will look into domainkeys...thanks for that link.

My default accounts are all AWeber, because I invested so much time and effort into building my lists there..

But, unfortunately I have to say that My GetResponse accounts always do better to Yahoo addresses

    Peace
