Article Marketing Software - Is it worth it?

Hi Article Marketing experts,

Is it worthwhile getting and using article marketing software such as Article Marketing Robot or Article Demon?

It's a new method of trying to get backlinks and visitors for me.

I have read many articles here on the forum and elsewhere about this and one of the common complaints seems to be about the lack of getting mass article submissions indexed. This then means no or few backlinks sometimes etc...

The cost of the software is insignificant, compared to the time one would use to set things up and then spin and submit and repeat etc...

So does it pay off? Do you get enough backlinks and traffic to make it worthwhile in practice?

From what I have read about both of these products, they do what they say they will do. That is: submit articles.

But does this result in sufficient links and do these resultant links amount to improved rankings and traffic for the people that use these products?

I look forward to your answers.

Thanks,

Sam

Yeah they help if you use them right. If you can submit an article to 500 directories in the time it would take you to manually submit an article to 1 directory, why wouldn't you want to do it?

The indexing problem can easily be fixed by getting the URLs of all the articles and pinging/bookmarking them so the search engines find them.

I have Article Marketing Robot which seems to be a nice piece of software, but I can't comment on Article Demon as I've never used it.

I've actually never used this type of software, mainly because of all the rewriting/spinning required, which I hate, and the learning curve.

Does anybody use this stuff and really highly recommend it? I'd love to hear, maybe I'll try some of it out myself.

Article Marketing certainly helps for SEO purposes. AMR is a good tool. I use it. Of course if you have any type of competitive kws that you are pursuing you need a variety of different types of back links obtained over an extended period of time. To give you an example look at my add and see the various types of backlinks that I create.

as my experience i use massive article submission software to not directly promote my main URL. i use it to promote my articles( contain my main url ) listed in ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com. because if you promote your main URL directly, it will be brought into sandbox( even temporaly)

That is true... You want to do link building to your 2nd tier or 3nd tier articles/posts. Let those high ranked article sites (EzineArticle, hubpages...) bring you more links to your main site.

I struggle with it a little.

I have had some success with article marketing software. I have tried a few recently and I now use demon.

I often wonder how it compares with article marketing robot.

The sales spiel always sounds better than reality, such as "get thousands of backlinks at the push of a button". It isn't as simple as this.

At the end of the day, they are just tools. They can help. I just need to be able to use the tools better :-)

Also, so far I haven't quite seen enough gain to be fully committed to using the software more.

A bit of a chicken and egg situation really.

The website on my sig has been sandboxed countless of times which I suspect due to article submission software. When I decided to just concentrate on ezinearticles only, my site now went up #1-#3 first page google.

Save your money. 99% of the existing article directories aren't even actively managed by their owners and get little to no traffic and will dissapear within 12 months, so spending money on mass submission software is a waste.

Focus your time and effort on the top 5-10 directories(Submitting to these sites takes very little time to do manually) and create content that other webmasters would love to put on their website for their audiences(Syndicating your content and building up your reputation in your niche) sending you tonnes of highly targetted presold traffic, making you some decent coin, now and into the future.

    OMG, absolutely and 100% YES.

No serious SEO and link builder would agree with the guys here saying "save the money". This is one of the most ridiculous things i ever heard.

In one word: AMR totally rocks!

You can as well go on reputable sites and read reviews about various link building software and techniques, AMR is ranked ALL THE WAY up in terms of quality of links...and the fact its rather cheap and a one-time payment. (Eg. compared to seolinkvine or WAY more expensive services or software which often charge 100s a month)

AMR right now has about 3900 sites "built in", of course many of them are down or dont accept articles anymore. if you do a full "blast" you usually get 1300 successful submissions.

This INCLUDES high PR sites like ezine, articlesbase, goarticles...and of course many others.

If you say that article marketing is dead or AMR "is not worth the money"...you know NOTHING and dont know where value is. I will continue building my links with it and laugh at you while i am ranking my sites

    Addendum:

Even it it were the case that through the latest Google changes article directory links have become "worthless" (which we dont know yet)...you can still use AMR and article marketing to build "tier2" links to stronger sites, like squidoo etc. So no matter what...it totally rocks for link building. Super simple to use and you get backlinks and your articles distributed.
