Where to Host CB Product

I have a product related to IM which il be launching soon on CB, this is my first product.

The product package is around 105MB, I am confused where should I host it? Is it a good idea to let it stay on the shared hosting with my sales page?

Any methods by which I can secure the product download? so that people cant directly go to the thank you page and download the package??

I wouldn't host it on your shared hosting because people may find out and share the link. Try E-junkie Shopping Cart for selling downloads & tangible goods instead, works really well for me. However, you might have to pay for your file since it's bigger than 100mb.. But it's really easy to manage and keep track of with e-junkie!

      Yes, they can.

This is all explained on e-Junkie's website, but their service is designed to be able to operate in conjunction with Clickbank, and many people use it that way.

There are many ways, but bear in mind that protecting the download page is of limited value if people are free to forward the product by email to others, to upload it to torrent sites, and so on. There are various ways of protecting against those much more significant problems, too, to varying extents.

Don't take any notice of anyone telling you that "because you can't protect against them 100%, it's not worth bothering at all" or that "you're being negative and concentrating on the wrong things": this is utter nonsense.

I thought I remember reading somewhere that e-junkie puts a watermark or something on the product so you can sort of track where the product came from if you find it on torrent sites etc. Or was that another site that does that... or maybe it was a dream?

If it was a dream, it's become part of that Jungian "collective subconscious".

E-junkie does indeed offer this facility, to deter purchasers from sharing the product illicitly. It would attract me, as a vendor, if I were using the PDF format.

If it is a digital product, you can generate an id and password via a wordpress blog and send it to those who order...may get better help on the programmers section I think..

    Hello sir,
For hosting Products the best thing is to use a dedicated server , shared hosting will be very bad for this and the company will terminate your account for using much bandwidth , for securing the download page you can use Amember as a gateway or use DL Guard as they are the best I've seen and they support Clickbank.

    Best Regards,
    Openbook support team.

I agree with the others. Hostgator dedicated hosting and a membership site or DL Guard.

I am going with e-junkie, as I have already been using them and am pleased with their service. I found the info here: Selling with ClickBank

And a special thanks to Alexa in this thread for mentioning that e-junkie has a clickbank set up. What I didn't realize is that the thank you page is hosted by e-junkie as well. All problems solved!
