Questions on Selling PLR

Hey Warriors,

I'm looking to get into PLR creation as a means to get some cashflow started into my business and I have a few newbie questions:
  1. Can you package already-published articles that you've written as PLR?
  2. What are the best sites to sell the PLR on besides the WSO section?
  3. What are the most in-demand niches for PLR?
  4. Is there a standard package size (# of articles) that buyers look for?

    Hi, blueboy!

    1. Yes you can since as the content writer you have all the rights (if you didn't write the content for someone else) so you can use your PLR content just as anyone else.

    2. There are some Internet marketing forums where you can sell them, also there is ebay, fiverr... You can create an own squidoo lens, a hubpage. Preferably you want to build your own website so all your packs can be accessed and bought there.

    3. I can't give you any recommendations there. Look for the standard niches: Making Money, Health, Wealth, Love... Go through Clickbank, Amazon sales. Learn to do keyword research and make your articles generic enough so that customers can adjust the keyword a bit.

    4. There is no standard package size. You can write PLR e-books, add articles and Reports or just write a pack of articles. Think about how your articles are best used? A 7 part autoresponder series? Blog posts?

    1. You can however the more exclusive they are the higher price tag you can put on them and the more value they hold

    2. WSO but if you have a blog you can sell them in there or digital point forums otherwise just creating a site and driving traffic to it.

    3. Id say look at the most popular clickbank products and whatever has a decent gravity of 50+ would be ideal markets to create articles for.

    4. Not really but as said in the first the higher the quality and less being given out before *sold out* the better

      1 - You can if you wish. Nothing against taking a license for yourself

      2 - I use my website, WSOs, and another obvious method.

      3 - Plenty to work with. There really isn't a better market for it. Pick stuff and write, then promote it.

      4 - No standards. You can create your own standards or whatever. I try to work in groups of 5 myself. Others I know just write as much as they can, then slap it out. Do what works for you.

        1. What format do buyers prefer the articles in? Is a zip/rar file of word docs ok?
        2. Are there any PLR-specific directories where an author can list their packs?
        3. Is ejunkie or paypal generally used when hosting products on one's own website?

          1 - zip. With the articles in .txt format. You have to remember that many people don't use word, and without an active version you are unable to edit the raw file without converting it first. You can also give a copy in word format, but be ready for people to ask for you to convert it if you only offer word.

          2 - Not that I know of.

          3 - Ejunkie and paypal for me. One handles my money and the other handles the products.

          Tiffany Dow and Peggy Baron swear by DL Guard.

          Everyone has their preference on the last question.

            More newbie questions:
            1. Is it necessary to use a system like e-junkie+paypal to totally automate a WSO?
            2. Are there any alternatives to e-junkie+paypal? ie. an all-in-one hosting/shopping cart system?
            3. Do WSO PLR packs of limited quantity sell out quickly? (assuming quality is high and priced properly)
            4. What are a few ways of promoting both a WSO and PLR content for decent traffic?

              1. Yes you need some system to automate the selling, otherwise you could just send out the PLR packs at several times a day.
              2. You could use something like magento, though it's hard to set up your own credit card processor etc.
              3. Haven't tried yet.
              4. Well the usual SEO tactics and putting the WSO link to your signature.

    In my experience PLR WSO's don't sell out that fast unless you have some really amazing offer.

    I use 2Checkout as my payment processor in conjunction with DLGuard which has the shopping cart option. I use 2checkout so my customers have the option of paying by credit card or Paypal. I don't trust Paypal enough to solely rely on them.

    Promote your PLR in your signature here on the forum. Always build a list so that you can have your buyers on a list to promote future PLR packs to. I also use Squidoo to promote my site and blog commenting to build backlinks to my PLR site.

      exactly the same experience here. I have purchased the WSO, on which the writer is suggesting to launch a PLR WSO, however after looking at the other sites I came to know that it is very difficult to sell PLR WSO's

        It isn't super difficult, but you have to make it a great deal.

        Thing to keep in mind too is that the WSO creates exposure to your site. My young site gets double the amount of visitors it used to simply because of the WSO and the exposure. It also added people to my list.

        I know how I am going to change things for my next PLR WSO, but getting the first one out there was important for many reasons other than the money.

    First of all, its a great niche. I have been doing it for years and I make a lot of money at it. Secondly creating MRR products is the way to go for long term and ongoing income. However there are a lot of people who look for PLR products every day.

    Answers to your questions.

    1.) You can package anything you wish, in any way if its your content.

    2.) Your own site or a site like Tradebit is great to sell your stuff. If you are selling eBooks in either MRR or PLR, Amazon is a great place to sell. But you'll always need to promote your book links in order to see any sales result with Amazon. If you sell on Tradebit, you'll see sales within a few days.

    3.) The most in demand niches, in my opinion are going to be in Forex and in internet marketing (people always want to know how to make money online) and even gaming as well.

    4.) There is no standard size of an article package. I've seen as few as 5 packaged in one bundle all the way up to 15,000. If your articles are good, you can make a decent profit.
