an honest way of earning money online

A knife isn't a murder weapon until you kill someone with it. Until then it is a utensil. I'm certain plenty will follow with some great advice, but I want to address mindset.

You have two posts, and you're already asking about "honest ways" to make money online. Is it just me, or does that reveal a large part of how you feel about making money online? It's not about spamming people with viagra offers, or getting them to buy fraudulent products. That's really just a small subset of people making money on the internet.

You're going to be helped a great deal in any attempt to succeed at this if you discard your bias toward any preconceived notions you brought with you. The internet is just a delivery method. It's pretty much all the best ways to market and sell a product that exist other than going out and meeting with people one-on-one face-to-face.

To answer your question, there are lots of ways to make money online in an honest fashion. One really awesome way is the eBay affiliate program, called the eBay Partner Network.

You should perceive doing business online similarly you'd be doing it off-line.

You should figure out first what you'd like to do:

1) Sell physical products online
2) Sell info products online
3) Promote other companies'/peoples' products
4) Provide your services to others (freelancing)

For the first two options eBay is an ideal way to start with, and you can expand to starting your own website when you get enough experience.

The third option involves researching the market as to what products you could potentially promote and then start doing it by setting up your own website and promoting it and earning affiliate commissions when you sell your partners' products. As your business grows, you can start selling your own products using the customers' basis you will already have.

The last option is to go to elance.com, for example, and start offering what you're experienced at etc. (writing, voice recording, design)
