what does that favicon.ico mean?

Im going through my 404 error messages and trying to fix them.

    The favicon is the little image that appears to the left of your url in the address bar.

    If you are using a special favicon image (look at the address bar here (WF) and you'll see a WF favicon it just an image you uploaded with a script that shows the image on your site. It's not a folder/file to be clicked on but is an image that is displayed on the site. If you drag and drop the favicon from an address bar into your favorites toolbar, it's the favicon that shows up as the stored link to the site.

    I may not be explaining it very well - but if you are clicking that address to see where it leads - it won't lead to a page.
