Getting hundres of likes for Facebook Fanpage within a few hours?!

I have hired a guy who gave me about 300 likes for a facebook fanpage within 6-7 hours. (he said he can give me even 2000 fans)

I had to make him the admin of the fanpage and he slowly added the fans, about 10-20 a minute.
I have asked him about if the fans he is sending me are all fake profiles and he told me no these are all individuals who are real - but I don't think so as they all have a very similar profile with similar interests. One profile was even the same as another one with the same picture and name.

But what I am wondering is how he does this and if there is any way to get banned by facebook for this. Is this some kind of big network where they are dealing with these fake profiles?

All he has told me is that he has to "work" for every one of the fans and he owns only 2 accounts. So he obviously does not own all these profiles.

What did you expect, seriously? Even if he can add all these fans they are going to be unresponsive and they certainly won't be buying anything from you. A waste of money if you ask me.

No one can guarantee a certain amount of fans without having control over those fans ie: fake profiles, etc. This guy is full of the brown smelly stuff.

      Hi,

I don't think is a good way to add peoples to your Facebook. It's must look like a natural process and this process isn't really natural at all.

Yes I know that it is not serious and I would not make this again. He even told me in the beginning that these people would be real.

But I am still wondering how he can add all these fake profiles as it would be impossible to own 2000+ profiles and logging in one after the other. The profiles aren't even empty - they all have other friends, interests etc. So making all these profiles would take some time.

There is software that can do all these tasks very easy. Create the profiles, login to the profiles, and so on.

and Facebook won't block you if you login into thousands of profiles from the same IP address?

They use proxies and stuff like that so it doesn't matter. This is very easily done and people have been doing it for a long time.

Don't waste your time. Build your fans the proper way by having something they WANT to be come fans of. This is the only way to do things. There is no point having a bunch of useless fans who will not interact with your page.

They are all fake profiles, and he owns them all. Most likely he uses different proxies and pvas. But since you set him as admin, all the invitations are sent directly from your account which may result your account getting banned. The best way to buy real or fake fans are through no admin access. I hope that helps.

seems that I really got scammed here.. I just hope that I won't get banned for this.

So if you as an admin send out the invites it is more risky getting banned? Are there any cases where facebook banned people for this?

    10-20 a minute?!? Oh boy..
I find that buying fans if unethical and a waste of money.

Yes I believe Facebook has banned some/many doing this.

You will not be banned as I have done this several times to add an "already popular" feel to a fan page.

They are real people but they have no interest in what you are doing. They are part of a network of people that get paid monthly for completing a series of tasks, laid out for them. Most of those tasks are far less ethical, but I hadn't realized that at the time.

I seem to remember that they only make about $10 a month, and really work for it. You do need to watch them though, as they are inclined to spam your page if they aren't watched.

In short: you wont be banned but they are relatively pointless.

    Cheers,

This is the only reason I would ever use a service like this - to give your page that initial social proof that is needed to get more legitimate fans.

I think there is a mixture. Yes, there are websites like Subvert and Profit where people can perform these simple tasks and get paid for doing so. But there are also people who just create a ton of fake accounts and do it that way. I'm not sure it Facebook have caught on to that yet or not - it would be fairly hard to stop.

There are no confusion that he obviously use some software to do this and these fans are not gonna help you to grow your business. As Facebook is taking more security I think soon they will be deleted.

What good are likes if they are not buyers. Close down your fan page before Facebook closes your whole account.

    Hi guys....

Whilst all the posters above may be correct in assuming that software and fake profile must have been used...It could also have been from using a website called:

twiends.com - Get more twitter followers

Do check it out...Very easy to had a couple of hundred friends in a day or more.

As for the responsiveness of the fans, well , you maybe very right in thinking that these will not be responsive ,however this technique can help you bulk up your numbers to establish social proof before you tackle the time consuming task of targeting the real possible fans.

There is also the issue of content and interaction which need to be addressed...

I like twiends...it has provided me with around 500 fans in the last few days and as I click on others fan pages to like , I come across many relevant fan page that I will go back to to interact with and JV with the owners.

I am nowhere near where I want to be with my current (test bed) fan page . so will carry on experimenting with different methods to get fans.

This is my plan for my current project

-first phase: original very good content, bulking up with "fans" , experimenting with scripts.
-second phase: drip feed good content, interact with targeted fan pages, build interaction on fan page itself
-third phase: use of paid ads on Facebook.
-If ROI is positive reinvest in getting more fans

At the end of the day , I still believe that providing value content will triumph irrespective on how you get your fans.

On a similar note, a while back I bought a Facebook account off Fiverr which was supposed to have x 000 fiends, can't remember exactly how many..thought it was a bargain.. I received a fresh account with 0 friends!! That was the last time I tried that sort of short cut.. still it was only a fiverr!!

There is no point to fake your Social ability, if your page is good, you will get likes from others. No matter how many likes you got, you won't get a real personal really appreciate your content and at the end, those are just number, and means nothing to you at all.

You need to be clear about your business model, what are you going to do what those "likes" how is the benefit your business. How you are going to communicate with those people to listen to you. They come fast and they go fast. They are not your real friends and won't pay attention to you at all.

As I said...they are just "bulk"...not expecting anything from them as individuals "fans"...just an added "weight" when rolling out the campaign proper.

As for getting likes just because your page is good, I hope you are not suggesting that you do no marketing whatsoever .

Even if the content speak for itself. It still need to be heard.
I postulate that having a substantial and growing number of fans will help your content be heard by your eventual target market when you go after it.

For my project, time will tell

Buying fans is like throwing money into a hole. You're very, very, VERY unlikely to get any conversions from them (even if the guy selling them to you claims they are targeted).

You should really just focus on acquiring quality fans that are genuinely interested in your product or service.
