Is $1,000/month that hard to make???

OK I have a full time job and started researching, trying, paying for the reports etc. to make $1K/month online to cover my discontinued child support, but not happening... so I had to make a desicion. I'm renting my house and moving back to a smaller apartment with my teenagers. BUT It's o.k., not a big deal at least the rent will cover the mortgage and we are all healthy!

I'm super competitive and hate "losing" so I feel like I have lost the battle!
Is it so hard to make $1,000 a month? Or was I just doing wrong???
#000 online #hard #make #make $1 #or month

Look at the $1000 a month from a different angle.

    $1000/30 days avg = $33.33 a day.

So is $34. a day hard? Depends on what you will do to earn it?

If you have skills and can provide some type of service that people will pay you
for then $34. a day should be easy. Oh, remember that the math above doesn't
exclude weekends. $1000/22 = $45.45 each week day.

Still shouldn't be a problem if you have something to offer that people want/need.

    Have a Great Day!

I can do translation between Japanese and English, but don't have a lot of demands these days... $45/day seems a little, but so tough to make!!!

      Thank you for your idea!
      Sincerely,

Since you can do translation between Japanese and English and you feel the demand these days are not high, would like you to test out the following
        • Type alerts.google.com in your address bar
        • In the search query type "Japanese to English translation" & "English to Japanese Translation"
        • In the Result Type field select "Discussions"
        • In the How often field select "As it happens"
        • In How Many field select "only the best results"
        • In the delivered to type your email id

In the Search Query also type the following keywords :
        • I want Japanese to English Translator
        • I want English to Japanese Translator
        • Where can I find Japanese Translator?
        • I am looking for Japanese Translator
        • I am looking for Japanese Transalotr Teacher

You can list any number of keywords in the search query and create alerts. You will start getting discussion leads to your mailbox.

Then start clicking the discussion thread and start participating in forum discussions. Create a signature link for yourself and post replies and new threads.

You will discover many forums which encourages people who know Japanese Language. You will be in touch with real people who are looking for translators like you. Try this for a few days and see if you are getting any orders.

This effort will automatically drag you to fiverr, elance, odesk, freelance and other similar sites.

      Michael,

That is outstanding advice, and I know because I did it.

That is exactly what I did, and I went from cruising around here for advice to making that $33.33 today a goal, and not looking to tomorrow.

And after making it $33.33 a day, I broke that down further to $3.33 an hour for 10 hours work. All of a sudden, I realized $1,000 a month was not only doable, but surpassable.

I was two weeks from having to move in with my sister, buckled down and put a system in place that required WORK by me (no easy button folks, some of the wealthiest people on this forum work their asses off and work circles around you and me) but created that $33.33 a day.

And you know what? At first I was working for about $4 to $6 per hour, but it was FOR ME, nobody else, I fart when I want, wear what I like, and work whenever it suits me and my cat (got to have playtime with Shorty McGee) and once I got my feet wet, I worked smarter, streamlined things, and I now make a pretty easy full time income online.

Once I got that, and believe me it is easy once you "micro-niche" your overall monthly goal down to a daily "sub-micro-niche", I changed gears and went for $50 per day.

This is so powerful because once you get the ball rolling it eventually gets its own steam, and you can move on to other daily streams.

Great advice Mike, tried and tested by me and thousands of others.

And it is doable if you are intense, and need it to work.
For me, I was about to be out on my ass, or living with my sis. That was my big WHY? do I want this to work.

So, create that big WHY? in your mind and you will be blown away at how fast things change when you have an intense goal, broken down into yummy, doable, daily chunks.

      Again,
      great post Michael.

It is not hard at all if you are willing to do the work and focus.

There is no easy push magic money button, but, if you follow
one system until you meet that $1,000/mo goal, then it is just
        rinse and repeat.

This is the way I look at it.

Just find a problem that people have.

Find out how much your average person will pay for that problem to be resolved. Say for examples sake $14.99. Then create an info product that resolves there problem - throw in tons of value (PLR, use video, do case studies, walk-through's etc..)

Then work on getting eyeballs in front of your offer.

Look at how other people in your chosen niche are doing it.

Improve on how they're doing it. Add more value than them.

Try and find an inventive unique selling point. Maybe be controversial.

If you have about 2 hours a day solid to work on it then it shouldn't be a problem getting a few sales a day...

      $14.99 x 3 = $44.97.

      $44.97 x 30 = $1349.

To many people mess around looking magic bullets when in reality it's so simple. Find a markets problem, answer it, and put the answer in front of them by any means possible!

Yes, and Michael's Maths doesn't include the amount of hours you may put in to reach that target, in the beginning it could be a lot so you end up working for peanuts, so it's important to think about having a perpetual system in place, where once the initial work is done, you can put in less hours, or carry on rinsing and repeating at a less demanding pace.

What you could do is create some good content and give it for free to create a list. Then create and ebook and sell it for a good price, to your list and even here in the WF. The theme could be how to get $1000 a month.

Hats off to you for being 14 and setting a good foundation for yourself. Earning that is awesome. It is so easy to get distracted with friends and peer pressure and all the other stuff that goes with being 14. Keep applying yourself and you'll have your whole life ahead of you to hang out or do whatever, except with money in your pockets!

If you have time to commit, I'd recommend spending your time offering a service. You can make $1000 per month here on the Warrior forum by offering services such as article writing, link building, web design... and anything else Internet marketers need.

If you're efficient and you do a good job, you can make $1500-2000 per month, and beyond.

If you don't have the time to actually provide a service, then I'm guessing you're more interested in building up a passive income. What kind of information products were you buying exactly?

Never say that you have lost the battle. You have only lost it once you have given up.

    Lets put it this way.

    Yes and No

You might be lucky and stumble on some product or service and boom you make it

But then again you might not

Its not hard to make $1000 a month. It's more of a case of How long it takes, for some it takes a month, for other it takes a week. For others its a year.

Dive in and get cracking on what you know about internet marketing and you will be on your way to seeing something

I think the majority of IM talk is around selling clickbank-type stuff because of the big commissions... but there is some big commissions to be made with less competition in physical products. Amazon, shareasale, CJ... to name a few. Find a niche with phrase match searches of at least 1,000 per month, and then search the same term in quotes in google and if the results are less than 50,000 , you can rank for it with some backlinking and article marketing. Then you're there.

So far, I have not achieved anywhere near that amount, but I lack much time to work.

It seems you need some money right away. I would split your time working with others, and also use a plan that will bring you continuing sales.

I don't know how you would find out about this, but I would bet there are places that would pay pretty well to have their Japanese books or sales materials etc. translated into English.

Your perspective changes once you do start earning money. When you're only managing about $10-50 a month then $1000 seems like an impossible figure.

If you keep sticking at it and you keep thinking about what you are doing then you hit little breakthroughs. Things occur to you and you think, "why didn't I try this before?" you put it into action and suddenly you are making $10 a day which is $300 a month. Now $1000 doesn't seem as difficult but still pretty difficult. A few months on $300 and you start thinking that maybe you've reached your limit.

But you knuckle down and keep working on it. A new idea, another breakthrough and bang, you've done it. There's your $1000 a month.

The biggest thing that makes a difference to your earning is asking 2 simple questions:

    1. How much time am I wasting?
    2. What could I be doing instead?

When answering #2 focus on the things that you've heard about but rejected out of hand. There were lots of things I'd heard of but simply dismissed. Amazon for example, I saw the low commissions, made a few half-hearted attempts to promote it and made next to no money. But I gave it a rethink, took the idea more seriously and spent some time thinking how I could get the most out it. Almost over night, I went from making a couple of dollars a month to making $100. Then I took things a bit more seriously, thought about it a bit more and doubled that figure.

Honestly, I don't do much with Amazon, it is just a little bonus. But if you can get $200 a month out if with a little bit of effort, it lowers your target from $1000 a month to $800.

The same goes for Adsense. You can just stick them up willy-nilly and forget about them or spend some time thinking about placement, the content you put on the page, etc. and you'll go from a few cents a day to a few dollars in no time.

Just a little bit of careful thought mixed with a little bit of discipline (difficult when you're feeling desperate, I know) and you'll easily make $300 a month with Amazon and Adsense alone. That gets you over the first hurdle. All you need to do then is triple it.

apologies for spelling and grammar I've been up all night

          • Hi,

Started investing in expired domains, as well as in auctioned expiring domains, last December. Earned good profits after a month, $800 net, and got back my initial $300 investment. Won the bidding for two auctioned expired domains, each an aged domain (minimum 2 years) with:

            • Good exact match domain names for profitable keywords (at least 300 exact match monthly searches) in the technology niche (hot Amazon micro niche products with 4-star ratings and more than 8 positive buyer reviews)...

            • Active backlinks on contextually relevant, heavily trafficked sites (at least 500 backlinks) -- Used Majestic SEO to check backlink profiles of both domains, via a Platinum account...

            • Sources of backlinks have an average of ACRank 3 (ACRank is a factor used by Majestic SEO)...

            • Valid Google PR 2 for the first domain and valid PR 1 for the other one...

Here's what I did after winning the auctions for those two domains (can't mention the domains, of course, for obvious reasons, with the best reason = Wouldn't want to post my target micro niches, the same target micro niches of those who bought the domains, for the world to see):

            1. Set up a Wordpress site with unique, relevant content under each of the two domains...

            2. Created social network accounts (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) for those sites, and posted links to its onsite content pages...

            3. Posted the domains and sites in domain auction sites and site flipping communities on the Internet, aside from promoting them in IM/SEO Web forums. Starting bid = $300, and awarded one domain/site for bidder of $750, while took the $550 offer for the other domain/site. That's a total of $1300 gross. Spent $220 for both domains ($120 for one and $100 for the other), $80 for site development and design ($40 each), $150 for onsite content ($50 each) and $50 for FB/Twitter/LinkedIn account creation and profile page development plus posting links to onsite content of those sites in those social networks and syndicating some pages as articles in three article directories focusing on contextually relevant niches and topics. That's $800 net. A total of 40 work hours for me (talking to outsourced resources and monitoring their progress) for the month...

Trained an employee to do orientation and supervision/monitoring tasks last month. Went ahead and invested $600 in expired domains matching a set of parameters that I improved based on the results I got last December. Earned $1700 gross, so $1100 net. Will double my investment this month...

Just sharing something that can be quite profitable for almost everyone who can analyze niche and keyword profitability, backlink structure and domain profile details. Hope this helps...

To the OP and everyone else starting out. Don't listen to this guy... if you think you can't reach a certain amount, you're probably right. But those that have a vision, and can implement their knowledge and put forth effort, you will make money.

In fact, since I started, I have not had a month where I did not make at least $1,000. I think my lowest month was around 1,500-1,600.

Before I started my own business I was making about 1,400 a month... LOL.

You guys can accomplish anything you want, you just have to work for it. Sometimes you have to work 60-70 hours a week. You just have to set a goal, and do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal.

Whether you tell yourself you can or can't do something, you're probably right. This person you're responding to is thinking from a place of scarcity - I truly think anyone can be making at least $1,000 a month within a very short time if they put their minds to it and focus on implementing one IM technique consistently and determinedly. Half the battle is really believing that you can do it, so it's crucial that get this step right before you even proceed.

How quickly do you need to start earning $1000/month?

If immediately, then the service route makes sense. If not, then you may want to choose a different option. Let me explain why....

    Offering a service = Paid Per Hour = Like a 9 to 5 Job

Creating a marketing business = Leveraged Time = Added freedom, your choice of schedule, and often the income continues when you need to take a few days off.

Understand, I do both of these. I provide writing services to a group of clients and I love it. (My wife moans when I write for others, and keeps reminding me about trading time for dollars.) The reality is this, if you are not careful you will get yourself trapped into ONLY PROVIDING A SERVICE, and never switch over to building a marketing business.

I'd highly recommend you set a schedule to split your time for now. Work every other day on providing a service, and the other half of the days on creating your marketing business.

(Just a thought, but with your translation skills you could be offering to translate ebooks and landing pages for people to open new marketing avenues for them....OR...to translate them for YOUR OWN BUSINESS MODEL, partner with other marketers and split the profits.)

Is making $1000 a month online hard? How good are you at finding a market that is experiencing a problem they desperately need solved? Better yet can you find a niche-market that is experiencing a problem and is searching for a solution?

Simply offer a $20 solution to a problem and you just need 50 people who are looking for that solution to make your $1000 a month.

Or offer an $100 solution to just 10 people who are desperately looking to solve their problem.

Problems come in all different shapes, forms and sizes. Consumer problems exist everywhere. For example I can't wear all-leather shoes. Do you know how unbelievably hard it is to find 100% man-made shoes online? Even better, do you know how hard it is to find 100% man-made shoes that have just an ounce of style in them?

So if you really want to make $1000 online per month then start looking to solve someone's problem. It's one of the easiest ways to make a sale--online or offline.

I looked at the option, too... sounds easy, but not to me
My Network Marketing company has a great weight loss products and I want to promote that since millions of Americans are trying to or want to/need to lose weight... My no-more-ibs.com website is also Network Marketing product that healed my IBS so I've been trying to promote that, too. I've been contacted about 1~2 persons per week and offered them free sample etc., but no steady customer, yet...

STOP over thinkings things. It may be a daunting task but it can be done. You simply need to just get a better grasp on your market. We know why someone is looking for ISB, but we need to find out WHO is looking for ISB.

Where are they at? What are they interested in? Who has the problem? Is there a large enough market to support your product?

Market research is key. You already have people asking you for samples? Find out everything you can about them.

Another question. Why are you not building a list on this site? You are already giving some information about ISB away for free, so why not require them to enter their email address before you give it to them?

You might already be doing this, but one way to make sure your subscribers always open your emails is to write in the subject line a question that IBS sufferers want to know--you can search IBS forums to find the questions--and answer the question in the email. Do this about once a week. This will help you build trust with your readers and they will feel comfortable ordering from you.

let me be the first to admit I know nothing about Japan. However, it seems to me it would make sense to have your site revolve all things Japan,(travel and, prepping people for a trip to Japan). Add a sense of urgency, a need to know Japanese culture, a need to be taught Japanese, (hence: taught through you).

Just google and take ideas from other sites on the matter.

Disclaimer: I am just throwing ideas out like a monday morning QB. I have no idea if this is the answer to your $1000 month goal.

I think that if you have a pressing need for immediate cash, then providing services may be the answer for now. Don't neglect your existing marketing efforts, but work on that in conjunction with providing services so that you can at least have some money to live on while you're figuring out IM. It's not exactly easy to make consistent money with IM right out of the gate, so you should really look into offering services as a source of some short-term cash flow.

It is not hard to make $100, $1000 or even $10,000 per month and many professional full time Internet Marketers do it. You have got to remember that the key to making consistent income online is consistent traffic. The quickest way to generate traffic is through PPC (pay per click ads) however this costs money and there is a learning curve. The next best thing is to go through a lot of consistent effort doing free methods of promotion until you can make some income to throw into a paid marketing campaign.

If you are trying to make money on the Internet, then you are in sales. It doesn't matter what you have for sale since there is always someone looking to buy what you are selling. Now you have got to tap into your creativity and find a way to put your offer in front of this target market.

Love the support mechanism that this site provides.

Its also all about belief too!
If you believe it is easy then it will become easy.
If you believe it is impossible.....well then you will never really try because it is impossible right....and why would you waste your time.

So first decide that it IS possible....and then get the plan in place.
Then work the plan until the plan is done and you will be at your first destination of $1000 per month.

    KEEP GOING AND GOOD LUCK!

What you want to do is find a market that has a problem, frustration or desire, find a solution (or even better develop one as a report, ebook, course, etc...) and then engage your market and point them toward the solution.

This method can easily make you more than $1K/month but does depend on

        1. Identifying the demand
        2. Finding or putting together a quality solution
        3. Daily effort to reach, attract and grow a relationship with your market

Over time this will get larger and larger - but that has been the winning formula for our business

Get 1000 people to give you $1

Get 100 people to give you $10

Get 10 People to give you $100

Get 1 person to give you $1000

OK, I just recently hit this figure, and here's my advice.

After struggling for so long (4 years) to make this amount monthly, three things really helped me get here within 1/100th of that time.

        1. Pay attention to the 80/20 rule, where 20% of your efforts will be making you money. If you start seeing sales coming from something that you are doing, drop everything and focus your energy on that. Really analyze what it was successful and replicate it.

        2. FOCUS.. ignore the mailing lists (I unsubscribed from pretty much all of them)...don't venture looking for new ways to make money or new tactics. Don't let yourself get distracted. It's none of your business how much other people make, so ignore the guy who is supposedly making 3 million a year. Don't get envious. Stay the course.

        3. It's tempting to break down $1,000.00 daily and see how much money you would need to pull in each day to reach this figure, but with me personally this was very jading and misleading. Instead, definitely focus on promoting products that are higher priced enough to meet this, but pay more attention to the goal of trying to make 1 - 2 sales a day, or 20 a month, or however many you will need.

I'm sure that some people were able to do just fine by breaking down how much they would need to make daily and working towards that, but I found that it corrupted my work, and every day that I checked my stats and did not meet that set figure, it would start my day off on the wrong foot and I would produce crappy work and make crappy decisions.

Plus I was always thinking about a lacking of money, and as a result was "rushing" my work and not helping people or being compelling. I don't think that you can work in this business operating from a negative mindset even for 1 second. This scares the **** out of me more than anything else

This is HUGE. It's so important to treat a business like -- well, a business. If I've lost my job and want to start a business from home -- and actually be able to stay home -- then trying to sell a $27 "How to train your parakeet" e-book probably isn't going to cut it. THINK like a real business owner.

I'm not knocking parakeets or information businesses. Or saying that you need a business-to-business type of business. Just that you need to THINK like a real business owner. One of my mentors told me: "Make decisions from where you want to be, not from where you are."

That's such wise advice! If your goal is to make $50k from home, then think like a $50k business owner. It doesn't mean don't make prudent decisions based on your particular set of circumstances. It just means that if you were already a $50k business owner faced with your current situation, what would you do?

I learned this from my mentors and it's been crucial to me:

Before you get started (or if you have to start over again), carefully consider/choose your business model.

IM is actually pretty simple: you can sell only one of two things:

        1. Products
        2. Services

        That's it!

And selling products or services online happens in the same basic way for everyone, no matter what they're selling:

        Traffic > Opt-in page > Autoresponder series (or e-zine) > Sales page

That's it! It's just that simple. (We IMers tend to overcomplicate things.)

But no matter what your niche is, or whether you're selling a product or a service, do you know what your business model is?

A business model is the framework or skeleton of your business. Essentially there are three types of online business models:

        1. Membership-based model

A membership-based business model allows you to build a community of people (your members) who are as passionate about your subject as you are. Your membership fees can be monthly or annual, but either way, you're building recurring, passive income.

There are a lot of resources and information out there to help you build a membership-based business if you're interested in doing this.

        2. Product-based model

Selling products allows you to maximize your time and effort by selling items over and over again. This can be hard goods or it can be information products. Information marketing is it's own business model under the product-based model. Information marketing allows to to take your brain to the bank by creating a product ONCE based on what you know and selling it over and over again.

        3. Service-based model

Selling services can be great for 1) generating quick cash (as in the case of article writing or video producing) and 2) establishing your expertise and getting testimonials.

However, in the long run, your goal should be to offer services at a PREMIUM. The biggest advantage of IM is LEVERAGE. You're able to leverage your time, money and expertise exponentially online. We all have just 24 hours each day. Time to get ruthless about what you expect for those hours you spend in IM each day. Expect more of yourself and more from your business friends, clients, partners, etc.

What results are you getting for those hours you spend online each day? Ultimately, your services should be at the bottom of your funnel and cost the most since they involve your time and personal attention. (We all have a limited amount of time each day.)

The fun (and confusion) comes in with all of the endless mix-and-match possibilities of the above models. If you're just starting or still struggling to make money, keep it simple:

        Pick just ONE!

        1. Pick ONE niche. (Something you're interested in and know something about.)

        2. Pick ONE target market for your product or service. (Who will buy what you're offering? The more specific you are, the more you narrow it down, the more successful you'll be.)

        3. Pick ONE business model.

Now that you're clear about what business you're in, FOCUS!

        F -- Follow
        O -- One
        C -- Course
        U -- Until
        S -- Successful

In IM, it's easy to put the cart before the horse. Take a deep breath, step back and consider what type of business you're REALLY want. Don't worry about getting traffic or buying that expensive traffic product until you know 1) what your business model is, 2) what niche you're in and 3) WHO your target market is!

Successful business people will tell you that MARKETING is more than half the effort that's needed for success anyway. So pick a niche, target market and business model. Then spend most of your time and effort marketing it.

        Hope this helps!

My idea doesn't involve online marketing but... if you are fluent in Japanese, maybe you could do some private tutoring once a week or so. I'm not sure of how well you could do in your area but I have a daughter who lives in FL and she sent her 2 kids once a week for about 6 weeks or so to a private tutor to learn Japanese. Not sure why or how much it cost but it is possibly another avenue you could check out.
Check with your local schools, colleges, or night classes to see if there's any interest.
As far as doing so online, yes, I'm sure it's possible though I haven't achieved it yet either. I agree with others here though. Focus is the key once you find the right idea, program or system for you but... that probably is the hardest part! Watch out for information overload it's a real killer - I know from experience!!!

Break the $1000/month to daily income and see that it is quite easy.

Then the next vital question is to ask yourself what you can offer to earn such daily income.

Affiliate marketing is just helping others to get what they might need online. So think of how best to reach these people and what are the best ways to convince such persons that the affiliate product or service you are projecting is the best for them.

This is looking at affiliate marketing from a layman's point of view.

Another vital point is mustn't not ignore is the 'power of consistency'.

Don't be deterred if you didn't get your dialy target, you will surely get there if you persist.

Then get yourself an IM mentor who will help to hold you by the hand and show you how easy the journey could be.

If you have time to commit, I'd recommend spending your time offering a service. You can make $1000 per month here on the Warrior forum by offering services such as article writing, link building, web design... and anything else Internet marketers need.
      This is true.

But, I really belive that you can earn more than 1k.

A tip, have you tried sell infoproduct in japan? The marketing in US is already full, but and the Japan's Market? Maybe you can try something there...

How is the information products in Japan?

          Hi,

the term "information products" refers to electronically deliverable, knowledge-based products.

They are also referred to as "digital goods" and are files on your hard drive that you send out electronically like tutorials, e-books,reports etc.

Information products can also be e-zines and newsletters, multimedia courses etc.

          Now,look the advantages:

          - can be created with little or no money.
          - can be reproduced in any quantity
          - they eliminate the inventory and shipping costs problem
          - they are immediately delivered to the customer.

          Hope i clarified your doubts,
          all the best,
          Devid

Hey Man, Devid Farah explained very well for about information product. But now just let us know about information product market in Japan, please.

You can sell a lot of e-books teaching a lot of things.

You should wacth Eben Pagan or Frank Kern programs. They have beginners programs and you can do what they teach in Japan.

For sure you will earn much more then 1k/month.

You're really asking the wrong question.

What you really need to be asking is "how can I provide over $2,000+ in value to others so they'll be thrilled to pay me $1,000 (or more)?"

That would be providing $500 in value to others in a week or $100 value in a day.

Also you need to stop thinking about how hard it might be and realize that this is a process that is going to require you developing some skill.

It's like asking how hard is it to win a local tennis C grade tournament.

If you're a beginner at the game it's impossible but if you've been playing for a while and had some good coaching it's very easy.

In other words focus on developing some skill and providing value to others and it will become easy.

      Kindest regards,
      Andrew Cavanagh

Exactly. Don't let the latest and greatest WSOs or shiny-red-ball crossing your way deter you from your goals. If you KNOW that there's money to be made with given method, then by all means go for it and STICK WITH IT! A good example would be SEO. It takes time, but if you keep it real and add value to your visitors you'll be successful enough to make $1000 per month in almost any niche.

    Hi Yoko,

As others have already said making $1,000 p/m is achievable but it does require some hard work, something your posts suggest is a price you're willing to pay.

With your translation skills have you thought about approaching Warriors with a product such as an ebook or report and offering to translate it into Japanese for them? You could offer them a package whereby you translate the ebook/report, their sales page and any articles they use for promotion. That alone should, I would have thought, given you a $1,000.

In case you haven't seen them you might want to read these 2 inspirational threads by Warriors who have had success. Hopefully they will give you belief that you can achieve your monthly goal:

Its not really that difficult to get a steady 1k a month income from your ventures online. However where the problem comes in that makes it difficult is those who do not apply the information they have learned already and put it to the test. Now some plans for making money online are by far better then others. Since you say that you have already purchased some reports on how to make some money online. Go through those reports or guides and see what is always popping up because I guarantee that something has always made its way in to each and everyone of those books you have already purchased. Now you just need to put that action plan to the test for your self. If you fail dust your self off and try again by working harder.

However how much work can you really put into this a day. If a few hours a day is all you really have at the moment then you are going to have to focus on something that is not so time consuming like article marketing or video marketing. There are literally hundreds of ways for you to make 1k a month but it always comes down to home much time you can actually put in every single day to get to your goal of 1k a month.

As soon as you get to that 1k a month then you can increase to say 2k a month then 3k a month and so on the sky is really the limit in this business. But you really need to start putting one of your action plans to work asap so that you can get the hang of things and find out the best way you can make money online for you and what you can offer with the time you have to invest.

The problem with making a $1000 a month is to find a formula that works, many people don't really reveal what it is that works for them, because they are worried of the competition that will eat into their profits, hence the reason why the biggest task in Internet marketing is finding a unique method and niche that can be tapped, and when some results occur, rinse and repeat in other niches, and other areas

I have found the opposite to be true.

Everybody seems to tell their secrets. In fact, many of them do so for a living.

But on a site like this, there are also tons of people who tell their secrets absolutely free of charge.

The problem is that people always lament that nobody has told them the *perfect* secret yet, rather than working on any of the thousands of *good enough* secrets that they could be using to make a nice living, right this very moment.

Try offering a free website set up for small and medium companies around your neighborhood. You can advertise in your local paper, flyers or simply approach these companies yourself. Tell them the benefits of having their own site and how they can have the advantage over their competitors. etc etc.

Ask them to sign up hosting account at HostGator or any other reliable hosting company thru your affiliate links. Same with their domain names. This way you can easily earn more than 1k per month if you can get a certain amount of client per month.

I'm all for building large sites and you're in niches that could be expanded big time. Your IBS site already has a good deal of content and it's good. You could build on that and go for building a community including building a list with email software such as AWeber and then offer your own product (recipes for IBS, workouts for IBS, etc.) or promote affiliate offers.

I appreciate this approach won't solve your immediate need for money, but I believe your site has real potential.

Also, the suggestions above about expanding and monetizing your Japanese site are great ideas. Since you've lived in Japan, you can write extensively on the subject. There must be "learn Japanese" products plus travel, physical products, etc. you could promote.

The point is you know your two subjects well and therefore you can really go deeply into your subjects and publish quality content.

If you build up large sites, get traffic, and monetize them, there's no reason you can't earn a $1,000 per month or more. It may take some time, but it's doable. Overall, I really like your sites.

Making $1000/month freelancing and doing actual "work" is dead easy. You just have some clients and do something simple for them that they dont' want to do, like writing articles, making little videos with voiceovers for them, etc. It is "work" in the sense you are just freelancing and getting paid for exactly what you do. Rewards will be less than traditional marketing online but risk will be less as well. Anyone can make $1000/month online if they are willing to work as a freelancer. Seriously, something to think about if that's all you want.

    Greetings Yoko,

In my opinion, you could have a very good business by offering your translation service, website building and web 2.0 creation and maintenance.

I would set up a WordPress blog, in English and then translate and set up a second blog in Japanese.

Then you can look for clients in the USA ... or in Japan that wish to have your services.

Building a new WordPress blog in English, can be accomplished at a very low price on the Warrior forum or even Fiverr … Then you could translate into Japanese and deliver a first quality blog to your new client.

Writing articles, in Japanese and then posting them for your client, is another opportunity that you should explore.

Wishing you and your family all of the very best … Ron

Why don't you take site concepts that are succesful in English, translate the best articles from those sites - changing them a little as you do to make them unique (although the translation process will automatically 'spin' them anyway) - and then quickly and easily set up a whole bunch of affiliates sites targetting the japanese niche. You could also translate extremely popular courses or ebooks and market them. If you dont want to change the content then ask the owners permission in exchange for a small commision for each sale. If someone is not selling thier product in Japan at the moment and you offer to translate it and then promote it on japanese langauge sites, a small cut of that is better than nothing to them.

Money does not come for free and playing games on facebook. So yes, it is hard to make $1000.

If you don't have web site building skills...

You can do things that just require time... like article writing, which people are willing to pay usually around $1 per 100 words if it is pretty well written. If you write 7 500 word articles a day... that is $35... multiply that by 30 days of the month... and WA LAH! 1,000$ per month for doing some writing a few hours a day.

      The difficulty is relative.

What I love about IM is that the sky is the limit once you hit on a profitable and scalable business model. If you can make $100/month there is nothing stopping you from making $1000 or $10000/month other than the time and effort you put into it. And then you develop an entirely different revenue stream.

The real difficulty lies on getting started and getting through the barrier of making your first dollars. That will either make or break you. It seems as though people have wildly different results depending on their background and efforts when they first start IM. I've seen people here claim to make $3000 their first month, and some claim to not make a penny for over a year.

The first $1000 is the hardest. It took me almost 2.5 years to go from 0-$1000 per month.

However, it only took me about 6 months to go from $1000 per month to $30,000 per month.

Getting started is by far the hardest part of this.

I agree... I created no-more-ibs.com via Site build it! to promote my network marketing product that cured my IBS. I got 45 pages and stuck, because it's hard to write "medical" articles since I'm not a doctor or nurse...
And I started my learn-about-japanese.com via Wordpress (with help with a report from WSO) and I think it's much easier for me to write about this than IBS. I have to be patient to get more traffic and start making $.

That's what I consistently hear most people say. The start is the hardest and once you gain some momentum it becomes easier to scale.

At first it was a struggle for me. More of a mental thing than any thing else i felt. Once id got through this barrier i just replicated what i did. It definately paid off. The fundamentals of this game are so easy, its the application that took the time to get round to doing! Always make sure you have a few things on the go though. Not all your eggs in one basket sort of mentality.

Ohayo gozaimasu. Sen doru / getsu. muzukashi to omowanai. Ok I lived in Japan 16 years ago and that is best of what I remember. It is not impossible. I released my first product on December 22nd and by December 31st I made over $2k. I made over $2k in january from the same product. I am releasing my next product Tuesday and my goal is to make $5k this month.

I would suggest selling a service or writing a book about something that you know and selling it. In fact I wold recommend doing both.

    Good luck to you.

Offer your services as mentioned previously.

Whilst doing the above, research some IM techniques that would interest you.

Could you create your own product to sell based around your existing knowledge, maybe package this up with some easily obtained PLR.

Creativity & research is the key, alongside having the correct mindset.

    Good luck with your ventures.

I haven t read all the posts in this thread, but have you tried with Cpa?
1k is pretty easy to make with this.
If you don't have money to invest , in paid traffic, just find some good converting offers from your cpa account, then make some keyword researching, to fiind some good domains, place good landing page on each domain.. and that s it!
You take care then of the offline Seo.. some bookmarks.. some backlinks..
Each site ,can bring you at least 40-100$ depending on the offer. Make 10 -20 sites like this.. and you will be earning 1k-2k at least per month.
Keep them fro a few month then flip them for low xx,xxx$ and you re in business
I know that you and most people think after reading this post : "ïf it is so easy why doesn t everybody do this?"
Well i will tell you why.. because 99% fail at keyword researching!
cover this part right.. and you will see money fast in yoour pockets!
    Cheers!

Let's be clear and not try to make like this is simple...people do struggle with CPA for many reasons:

      1. Sure, keyword research - which is a science in itself and does take a fair amount of testing (even when you are good at it) which means you throw time and/or money away while that testing goes on.

      2. CPA programs are time consuming and often tough to join. Frankly, it is a huge pain in the butt managing these programs, especially if you are starting with no reputation or sites which look less than professional

      3. Conversion -- assuming you have mastered 1&2, then you still need to get and track conversions.

      4. Site flipping - most people haven't a clue how to flip a site. Yes, they can find out, but I wouldn't call this easy

      5. Most of these sites will NOT make you even $100 a site - some will sure, but many won't, especially when you are starting out.

To me, if you are going to learn the principles of keyword research, generating traffic, building sites, improving conversion...then do it with a bigger plan in mind around dominating your niche, list building and selling them products for months and years to come...

      Jeff

When I first started Internet Marketing I was in the same mind set as you are. I thought $1k was going to be so hard. Honestly it was. As a beginner you make so many mistakes. But I was determined to learn all I could and never gave up. A lot of what I do is mostly trial and error. Some things fail but never get discouraged and quit. Just know when to move on to the next project. Once you find a technique that works well for you, then all you need to do is scale it. If its niche sites your doing and you see that is working then build more sites. For example I have a 100+ niche sites with adsense. Each site makes an average of $5 a day. I saw the potential there when I only had a few sites. So over time I have many that make money 24/7.

    Good Luck!!

If you can you offer a valuable service to IMers, it will be your easiest way to earn $1000 per month. If you get in to building websites for passive income, it can take some time to get to that figure (depends on the invested hours). However, working for passive income does pay off in the long run if you do things right. The downside is that it may require a lot of investment, time and experimentation.

You will need to put in a bit of time, hard work and focus but making $1000 per month is doable....
