I trying to find the top ten websites traffic wise for a niche I'm targeting
would alexa be the best site for doing this or another one.

    Keep in mind the types of sites that always attract the top traffic in a niche. One such is forums. You might want to type in your keyword + forums and take a look to see if there are any high performing forums in your niche. Most of them will display the member and post count down the bottom of the first page so you can see how popular they are.

      Thanks thats exactly what I'm trying to find the top ten forums for my niche alexa seems to be the best bet.

    yah, i check out alexa as my source of any site's traffic and frankly, alexa is just an estimation figure only which is not exact as what we want but it is a good predictor
