What to do about scam artist?
I am an entrepreneur at heart and I am a thinker. I love coming up with cool concepts, scripts, programs etc and I like to think I am fairly good at it. In fact, my friends used to ask me "are you not worried that someone will steal your ideas and put you out of business?"
I used to always laugh and say "nah... even if they steal my ideas, they will never be as successful with it as I am simply because it was not their inspiration."
I still think there is some truth to it, but when my programmer forwarded me an email today from someone who had apparently purchased my hottest publicly available software on gigme5, I froze for a second thinking "you can't be serious!"
Sure enough... some idiot did have my product listed right next to million dollar launch products such as George Brown's "Google Sniper" and Jeff Walker's "Product Launch Formula". Honored as I might have been - I was a little ticked off.
What can I do though? I told the guy that contacted my programmer for support to go and ask for a refund and purchase it through me if he wants my team's support. Was that a fair plead?
No wonder my team and I were overwhelmed with support tickets the last few days - this really isn't fair to my honest/real customers.
I made it very clear in the guides/reports that no one except myself had permission to sell the software. Aside from asking gigme5 to shut this guy down, what else can I do?
I would love to hear some feedback/suggestions/ideas or even experiences from fellow warriors!
