Hello,

Facebook:

It is interesting to see how everything grows exponentially in Facebook. I've been producing applications for Facebook for 3 months and people keeps coming and adopting facebook more and more. For some reason Facebook users converts better than other social network -imo-.

For the facebook applications I'm using a small-med 2 GB plan ($2,500/year) to host my facebook applications.

.. and then Google came:

Yesterday, Google invited me to use a nice and interesting social application called Friend Connect. (It is out of beta, so you can test it right away).

Friend Connect supports AIM, Yahoo, OpenID and Google ID (naturally) to create 'followers' and communities. (Something that I try to do with my applications in Facebook).

So far, I've installed Friend Connect on one website, and it is my opinion that it may affect Twitter. What is your opinion?

Many of the 'followers' in Google Friend Connect have an accurate profile, so I believe it might be better than Twitter.

One click, and they are following you, and suddenly you have a rich community created in days. And you have access to tons of useful relevant information shared by them, so you can keep your services interesting.
(aka more conversions).

Anybody tried this? What's your opinion about Google's new invention?
I like Twitter, but I'd like to know what do you think about Google's new toy.

For now... back to Facebook!

Gaby
