Can you see my opt in form? Because I can't

18 replies
Hey everyone,

Here's the problem: My opt in form doesn't come up for me and the pop over still does.

Here's the URL of my sales page: How to Seduce Hot Women - How to Pick Up and Date Women and while the form comes up in mozilla, it doesn't in IE. And so instead I get a really unprofessional pop over saying GET A FREE PREVIEW but with no actual form to sign up lol.

So I ask if you can help me please, can you see the form in internet explorer? (the pop up appears 8 seconds after the page loads btw)

And are there any experts here who know what might be causing the problem? because it's causing me great concern and I feel as though I could be losing a lot of potential subscribers.

P.S. It's a basic aweber form which put into the Xsitepro 2 pop up creator.

Thanks alot

        No sign of it here, im on ie7
        {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[305199].message }}
  • Yeah the pop ups delayed 9 seconds (good trick by the way)

    Hmm, so you are seeing the pop up AND the actual sign up form to fill in your email?

    Thats interesting Bladerunner because I'm from the UK and I can't see it either and nor can my other UK buddy.

    Can any UK users see the actual sign up fields?
    Thanks for the quick replies by the way guys

    I see your popup in IE7

    There are no signup blocks in the popup.
    Also you have to scroll the popup to read it all.
    Reduce the wording to make it just tell people to
    "Go to the bottom of this page to sign up for blah blah blah"

    To include the aweber form, you need to rebuild your
    PopIn_1.js script to include it,
    Right now you have it in just text alone.
    Hope this helps,
    Carey

  • That's the thing, I have already included it. And as for the scrolling down, I never intended on the pop over having a scroll bar..

    It seems as though everyones getting different results

    This is worse than I thought

      You are running CSS ....
      Maybe you need to look at how CSS is treating
      Your popup.
      That's the only other thing I can think of.

      Try a non CSS static (Plain HTML) page and check that
      and then convert it back to CSS maybe,

    For me. Works fine in FF - no scrollbar. In Chrome works ok but with scrollbar. But in IE7 - no sign up form.

    I may see the problem.
    Move the:
    --->><script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="PopIn_1.js"></script><<---
    BELOW --->></body><<---
    and just above the --->></html><<---

    Not sure but CSS is tricky sometimes.

    The popup worked fine for me but I couldn't see the opt-in form. Although I'm pretty sure it is because I am using Ad Block plus.

    I have an idea if this is not solved. As I found on my own after having no icons in XSP whatsoever.

    XSP uses Microsoft explorers or at least a part of it's configuration script. If you have your media setting (on the computer you are editing with XSP) set to somehow mess with pops, it will affect the way XSP functions.

    I had no idea until I was able to fix that weird icon problem. I never use IE but my GF does. I discovered she had turned off images and that was what was screwing with my XSP.

    Strange because it's an entirely different app but it fixed the problem. I notified XSP and they confirmed it did use IE components and that was news to them that it effected the app like that.

    Bladerunner, this might explain why it is working for you.
