Anyone making full time income on Elance or Guru.com?

I am thinking about signing up with these sites to make some money, but wondered if anyone here is making a full time income doing this?

I need to make at least $2000/m steadily in order to quit my day job and devote more time to my affiliate marketing business.

If anyone is currently doing this, I'd be greatly appreciative if you can share with me your experiences on using these companies or any other companies similar to these.

Yes, I want to freelance write for others to quit my day job soon. Then I will have more time to develop my affiliate marketing business.

So, for now, I'd like to find out how I can write for Elance or Guru to quit my present day job.

After that, I will have more time to devote to my affiliate marketing business.

It is taking a lot of time to develop my website and affiliate marketing business.

I guess you can say that I want out of my day job as quickly as possible because I absolutely hate it!!

I was interested in freelancing to maybe get out of the day job more quickly.

Two things here: it really depends on what skills you have to offer on these sites. Second, my experience is that a lot of bottom-feeders or cheap Charlie's look to hire on those sites.

I used both these sites and freelancer.com as stopgaps at one point in my career but I will tell you, you will learn quite quickly that you can't put in the kinds of hours demanded by the typical pay scales there and maintain a sane life.

      Thanks for your input.

I just wanted to write articles or blog posts for clients to make money. Do you think if I just selected jobs that stipulate the number of articles they'd like for a set amount of money, I would do better than going for the hourly jobs?
