how to find laptop with MATTE screen?

Hey Warriors
I am looking to buy good laptop that has a matte screen
I searched shopping.com and few other price compare sites but they all let the user search buy screen size, memory, processor etc... but not by screen type
Could you advice me how to find a good laptop that has a matte screen?

      Matte Protectors suck, I've tried them...give a blurry/fuzzy look to text and the screen in general.

      Gotta disagree with that, but everyone I know heavy in design or graphics, editing etc, and owns a Macbook.... has the high-res anti glare screen. The only advantage the glossy has (and I own one lol) is slightly darker blacks but you can't really tell.... the reflections on glossy are annoying as hell, the colors accuracy can change depending on angle and movement which is why anybody heavy into graphics gets the matte. High-res anti glare imo and many others actually looks better, it has a very nice natural look and flow to it while still being extremely sharp. I'm stuck with glossy b/c I have a 13" Pro... damn you apple.

      Two computers that come to mind are the 15/17" Pro's with high-res anti glare, and I believe the HP Envy line still let's you option for their anti-glare screen which was excellent on the 15" model but the 15" has been discontinued.

    You can generally order business computers that way. Check out the big companies business lines. I know Dell Corporate laptops come with matte screens.

      Miles, you are mistaken. Lenovo's entire line of professional ThinkPads come with matte screens, and HP and Dell's business line of laptops are also available with matte screens. There are plenty of choices out there, if you care to look hard enough.

    I think that the best choice would be MacBook . That screen will supposedly give you the same resolution, color depth and LED-backlighting as the factory installed one.

      You could always look into the thinkpad line from Lenovo.. My T500 has a matte screen , the laptop is a workhorse and has never let me down, and one of the best keyboards I have ever had to type on.

          I don't know about his model #, but mine is W701. Lenovo is amazing. Mac was the worst computer I ever had, out of 4 that have all done at least a year's worth of work.

          I have to repeat his comment, the best keyboard I ever had. Once you get into the mid price range and higher at lenovo.com, you get to pick out the options you want. Most of them have a question mark that you can click on for more info. Most of them have more than one screen option. Can't say mine is a workhorse, the phrase that came to mind is 'a beast of a laptop.'

          But it might pay to wait awhile. Kindle has advertised a new type of electronic ink that lets you read in bright sunlight. It might not take long for this to be used by a lot of laptop companies.
