Well, well, I feel like i am going to bore you all with my little questions on list building again so please accept my apologies in advance!

I want to start building a list with a squeeze page but am not sure how to do this with regards to my clickbank ID and stuff? I just don't wan't to mess it all up and to be honest I am not a very techy person!

I currently drive traffic through articles with EZA with one link to the merchant page and another to a review page...

Can someone maybe outline the process for me, if that's possible?

Thanks in advance!

Your squeeze page captures the leads then you redirect them to your sales or affiliate page (your sales or affiliate page is where you would put your Clickbank ID or Clickbank sales link).

If you are building a list with your traffic source, meaning you are driving traffic to your link (your squeeze page)

You would set up your squeeze like this:

Whatever traffic source you used to push them to the squeeze, it should be a continuation of what you have been writing about in your article, video, banner ad, ppc ad, etc.

In your squeeze you outline with some bullet points what you are going to show them or give to them with your auto responder box (in line) next to those benefit bullet points.

Once they fill out their name and email address your autoresponder (probably aweber - I am assuming) you would direct them to your page that tells them that they need to check their email and confirm that they want to be on your list.

They check their email for the automated message from your autoresponder, and then they click the link to confirm. When they do this they are sent to another page on your domain ( a subscriber success page) that has your FREELINE content (the bullet points that you outlined in your squeeze) - basically whatever it is that you are giving them. That page will have your clickbank hoplink somewhere in the body of your copy

so you would link your anchor text to your clickbank product

"Now that you have learned XYZ, you can accelerate your success when you couple my strategies with this product (insert link)"

If you need more help let me know....

    best of luck,
    Preston

If you're just using a traditional squeeze page (i.e., an opt-in form and a freebie offer to get the name/email) then you won't need your Clickbank ID unless you plan an upsell of some sort. Just take the HTML code that your autoresponder gives you, open the HTML file (either in Notepad or an actual web design program, if you have one) for the squeeze page and put the code in where you want it and save the file. Then open the file in your browser to see how it looks.

One tip: make a backup of the original squeeze page HTML file and then you can play around with placement of the opt-in form without worrying about ruining the layout/look of your squeeze page.

If you really aren't terribly "techy" then you can probably pay someone $5 over at Fiverr to get you all set up. Or ask around in the forum here. Someone is bound to do it since it's not a very demanding task or anything.

Now, if you're using an upsell after they give you their name/email address in the opt-in form then you'll need your Clickbank ID. Basically all you do is create another web page (or find a One Time Offer template somewhere--there's free ones floating around so you should be able to find one with Google). On this new page you write up your offer and you'd put your Clickbank ID in the link. Even if you've never worked with HTML before it's a fairly simple matter to do it and won't take you 10 minutes to both learn how and to actually do it. You might even be able to get whoever puts your opt-in on your squeeze page to do it for you.

You should have both the affiliate link and a "No thanks" type link on your upsell page. If they click the affiliate link they obviously won't be seeing your final page where the download for the freebie is, so be sure that the "welcome" email in your autoresponder has the link. The "No thanks" link would just take them to the third page of your site where they can download their freebie.

    Thanks in advance!
You're welcome! Assuming I helped you more than I confused you, that is.

Good advice. I would just say that it's worth learning the basics of webpage design and how to upload your site to your hosting. You should also learn how to install your own opt in form code.

It seems daunting at first but if you find the right person to educate you, you will have those skills in your pocket throughout your whole business experience.

Not only are they handy skills but you will have a much deeper understanding of the inner workings of your business in case anything goes wrong.

Understanding is key before you can implement and succeed.

      Hello Yoan,

Make sure that the squeeze page you are setting up has enough 'buyer' triggers' or seem like the answer to the questions your visitors are looking for.

You can effectively do this by researching the main desires of the potential buyers in the particular niches.

This will help you to rightly pin-point those desires while smartly picking holes on why delay may be dangerous for the visitor.

Try to raise curiosity but ensure that you itemize the points for more potency.

Remember that the squeeze should not be more than 10 to 20 lines for more effectiveness and to keep attention of the visitors.

Hello, look at some opt-in and squeez pages in your niche, get some ideas and then create yours, put the clikbank link in the squeez page in a place where you are creating momentum.

I agree with what the others have said and would definitely create a squeeze page to direct them to prior to sending them to the merchant's page - offering them some "free" but valuable info. to entice them to sign up. This could be short ebook you create yourself related of course to the merchant's product or service.
I also agree that you do try and learn some basic web creation. There are a number of free tutorials and programs. I'm not all that techy either but experimenting with the free "kompozer" html editor has helped a lot - I like that you can see just how your site will look in a browser before you upload it to your server. And of course word press sites are also very popular and not too difficult but I personally feel I have more control using an html editor like kompozer - just more use to it I suppose.
Search google and YouTube and you'll find numerous free help - also there's a site called w3school or schools - something like that that can also give your a lot of good and very basic instructions.
        Good luck!
