Joomla in my opinion is brilliant as a cms its very flexible but you need to put some time aside to learn how joomla works once you "know how" it's easy to operate (like most things),

You can get loads of joomla extention for free at extensions.joomla.org

Yes you can add a forum in jooomla:
For your forum get the Fireboard forum component

Joomla is also very sef with the right component:
To make joomla search engine freindly get either the sh404SEF component or the Artio JoomSEF (i use sh404SEF for my joomla website below)

    Hope this helps!

I work almost exclusively in Joomla nowadays. It may be a bit of a learning curve in the beginning but once you know it it's a breeze.

And with lots of extentions and templates available you can do just about anything with it.

SEO is built into the 1.5 and you can extend your SEO with additional components.

Support through the support forums is quite good.

For what it's worth, I recommend it.

Edit: freddie, you got there first!

Joomla is quite difficult to learn but very easy to use once you get the hang of it. But the pages created with Joomla are so impressive and professional looking that you'll soon find yourself favoring it more than wordpress. The templates available online the paid ones especially are simply amazing. Yes, to all your questions.
