Im a newbie, and I'm trying not to get down about the fact that after five months of tryn to figure out what gig works for me, im a little overwhelmed. Ok those 5 five months I'll admit i was 100% devoted but its been on my mind. Now Im severely broke, and want something that requires no money for startup. Even if I was to have a domain name, I wouldnt know how to develop it. So my question here is what is the easiest way for me to earn cash!!!
#$$$$$ #easiest #make #newbie
  • My advice: Get a job. This is not a joke.

Then, focus on IM after work each day, maybe 1-4 hours.

      Chris Gives Great Advice Here:

Honestly...get a job first so you can fund your new business.

Here is what I have found to be the timeline for going from Zero to Full-time:
      • After 12 months....$1,000-$2,000 per month.
      • After 24 months....$2,000-5,000 per month.
      • After 36 months....$4,000-$15,000 per month.
      • After 48 months....a Nice 6 figure Income.

This isn't set in stone...just a general idea.

Most newbies overestimate what can happen in 1 year...and underestimate what can happen in 3-5 years.

That is a very realistic example and great advice I would endorse to anyone.

3-4 years is a very realistic time frame.

I would also add that it can happen quicker.
          • I went full-time 2 years after focusing on one site.
          • ...but I spent almost 2 years before that jumping at opportunities.

Now I focus on "asset building".

A much better way to go!

          Am in same boat.
Have just started my own web site too. It's damn hard to start, a lot harder than i thought. The way some talk about the internet, it's just start a site and the money will pour in...wrong! Maybe i am wrong, but i don't believe you get anything for nothing, and think you have to put some cash up for ad campaign.
Well that's what i have done anyway. Also get a part time job, something, anything, just to take pressure off yourself, otherwise you will probably fail. And don't get tempted by get rich quick schemes!!
          GOOD LUCK!!

My advice would be to pick a popular niche (IM, Weight loss, etc.) and start making content. Research, write articles, make videos if you want.

Then, go find some big players in your niche (people with opt-ins on their websites, thousands of twitter followers, subscribers and so on).

Then, sell the CRAP out of your content to ALL of them. Everyone is always looking for content, and big players will pay you pretty well for content.

Just make sure you write (or record) QUALITY stuff. If you put some humor in it you can make some big bucks.

The reason it is more beneficial to do it this way is you also start to build relationships with these people, and you can make more deals with them in the future.

      1. pick popular niche
      2. research it quite a bit
      3. write a BUNCH of quality content
      4. use google to find the "Big Players" in your niche
      5. sell them your content

These "big players" have all sorts of ideas on how to use your content. Just be sure to be honest that you are selling this content to multiple people, so they can adjust how [I]they use it accordingly.

Bonus Tip: After you make a few sales or have some money to blow. Sign up for an aweber account. Write 52 short, pre-sell type articles (with some solid content too).

They don't have to be long (150-400 words should do it), then sell that content to people (the ones with the opt-in forms on their sites, because we know they have lists) as content to send out to their list.

There is some code an your aweber account, I don't really want to get into right now, because it's all technical and stuff, and I don't want to explain it wrong, but you can just give people this code, and all they have to do is sprinkle in their affiliate links and send it out to their list.

It's easy, you can send this content to a BUNCH of people with lists, because it doesn't really matter if it's duplicated or not, and easily make at least $300 bucks per.

Bonus Bonus Tip: Once you get some money rolling in, outsource the writing, and then redistribute it in the same ways, and you will certainly make a pretty nice profit with very little effort on your part.

Just some ideas to get you started, good luck!

I agree 100%. I had to build my business outside of my full time job slowly and logically. It took only four months but do not leave your job until you are making as much money as a full time job can provide for you from residual income.

Having a job with regular income WHILE working on IM is an excellent way to ease into the business. That's exactly what I'm doing...I teach astronomy in a planetarium - what fun - and I'm spending time after work and on the weekend. Good luck.

This is a good alternative as well - if you can find a job that you'd enjoy doing. Otherwise, you could treat Fiverr like a "job" and work 4-6 hours at it daily, while getting paid every 14 days (actually it'd be pretty much daily after 14 days, if you can pick up consistent gigs). Have a strong work ethic with Fiverr if you're going to treat it as a regular source of income, and do not treat it like a casual "hobby" (this is what far too many people do on there).

This is exactly own i started.

IM should start by being a part time thing and not your only source of income.

Definitely. If a job is not an option, then look into providing services online that can generate "now" income for you while you're trying to get started in IM, which is a longer term strategy.

    Go to the WSO forum.

Search for the word "free" in the titles. Plenty of people are giving away valuable info in exchange for your email. Choose one that's well reviewed, and mentions using "only free methods." This way, you know that there aren't any hidden costs, and you also know that the people who are employing it are making money.

    Commit to it.

    The end.

      Good tips.

Honestly, IM and online businesses aren't get rich quick. You can't make lots of money FAST. Some people don't make a penny in their first month. Some don't even make money in their first couple years due to investment.

You prob REALLY want to check out the "free" stuff on this forum.

If there was easy fast money on the net then everyone would be doing it. It's not easy and it's not fast, exceptions prove the rule.

I agree with the "get a job" advice - that is the fastest way to make money. Build IM on your time off. I've been making money on the net for 7 years now - the entire time I've also held a 9-5 job.

A lot of people I know that make money online started with eBay. Spend a few hours on there seeing what people are selling. Look at the 'eBay pulse' feature which shows you what's selling. Browse the 'completed listings' for various items. See if you can get a piece of the action. I think eBay's a great first step for anyone looking to 'make money online' so to speak.

You can also try article writing if you are good at writing good content. Fom there you can make a very small fortune and then move on to higher things like forming a website or blog from the money you have gained writing for others. You can go to places like oDesk, Elance, Guru, Freelancer, even here. Although, if you chose to write articles here, it costs $20 to start a thread offering article writing services (not 100% sure of the costs).

You might also want to think about using free websites such as blogger, hub pages, squidoo, ezines, etc. You can find free ebooks in the "Make Money Online" section of this forum or in the WSO suction as someone else stated above.

Make sure though, you don't want to stay with free methods for long, it won't get you as far as you would if you paid a teeny bit, although there are possibilities with free methods.

You can also try places like Demand Media or Associated Content to get you started

I think its true that you have to at first have internet marketing as a hobby. If you are broke you will fall into the: "make 10,000 a week starting tomorrow" products which will in turn make you more broke, this is why you need money coming in from somewhere else just encase it goes wrong.

      Agreed ...

There is no such thing as "get rich quick" or "instant / autopilot" income .. IM is like a real job / business..You need a plan, capital, strategy, and goals ..

Don't misunderstand, I'm not trying to step on your dreams ..I'm just trying to help you put things into a proper / realistic perspective

Personally, I hope you do find that "free" thing that makes you a million over nite, and if you do you'd better share it with me immediately LOL

Listen to what the members are saying .."Get a job" is not meant to be a wise crack or insult, it's good, solid advice and will prevent you from getting ripped off, and going broke chasing "miracles"

      Good luck

You're absolutely spot on Tom and if you want online money instantly then, you'll probably fall in to the trap of wanting instant wealth and being seduced by the charlatans who market the $10k a week methods. If you build any business/website up slowly then, you're more likely to appreciate what you've acheived from your endeavours.

What services can you offer in exchange for cash?

What many people do not think is that IM is all about providing products and services that will be beneficial to others (customers).

If you have some skills you think you can offer in exchange for cash.

You will surely have instant cash if you know where to start showcasing your skill immediately.

There are lots of places to start now.

But while you do that, you need to survive, so you may get some jobs so that you wouldn't lose focus but be prepared to dedicate good amount of time on perfecting the skill/services you want to render online.

The cash will come sooner than later if you do.

        Good luck!

Making money isn't easy everything requires work. However as long as you have a computer and internet you can make money on the internet with free blogs. Not only can you have a high quality blog and add an adsense account to it to make a few bucks, but you can promote an affiliate product on this free blog.

You can also get involved in forum communities and write great responses to what people are asking about in your particular niche, and then have backlinks in your signature( if its allowed) back to your site.

Also article marketing takes a long time and lots of committed work, but can do wonders for your website. Once you have made some money keep doing what works. Then buy a domain and hosting and repeat what worked in the first place.

I agree with this and it is exactly what Tiffany at TiffanyDow.com teaches in her courses. First earn money as a service provider, then create your own products to sell, then become an affiliate marketer if that is what you want to do.

She has two new courses - one on how to open your own plr store and the other on how to become a ghostwriter. From what I have seen, those who are writing for others are making good money. That will provide you with the income you need right now so that you can move into other areas as you learn and grow.

The main thing is that when you have money coming in you are in a better position to make the choices and decisions that will move you to the next level of earning money online.

I agree with getting a job. It's almost impossible to succeed online when you are desperate because you will make desperate decisions and chase the tiniest shred of hope to no avail.

It's not a bad idea to get on odesk or elance etc and begin by selling your services. The best thing you can do is focus on one thing, whether it be building up a list or starting a blog or whatever.

If you don't, you will end up feeling like you've tried everything but nothing worked for you, but in reality you never actually finished anything.

It's possible to succeed online, very very possible. But this is not the lottery. You can't just throw in a dollar and cross your fingers. Don't give up, work hard and things will eventually happen if you focus and learn from mistakes.

It's important to leverage your efforts though. Everyday when you are thinking about what you need to accomplish, put the stuff that will actually help you progress the fastest at the top of the list. Seems obvious but easier said than done.

For instance, I have a million things to get done today, but I know it will be a better use of my time to create some content for my list rather than waste a couple of hours searching for keywords (even though I love doing that). Or even sitting on this forum (which I also love to waste time on) can seem like you are somewhat "working" or doing research, but in reality there are much better things you can be doing with your time. Like taking action!

Anyway, sorry about my rant, just had lots of coffee. Don't give up and get a job in the meantime! That way you don't have to stress about everything.

Thats why I am currently looking and have a few job interviews lined up for me this week. And I may have come across as a little naive, and I not gonna deny it I am to a certain extent when it comes to this type of business but I wasn't expecting an overnight kinda thing where I make a fortune. My hopes were to make some sort of money, even if its 50 bucks in a month! I just want to figure out something that produces positive results. Personally I was thinking of creating squidoo lense because I think thats something I can do at the moment but I just have a general idea not enough specifics.
Article writing and promoting digital products is something I want to start off with then maybe move onto creating content and mailing lists and all that other stuff I dont understand quite yet.

But thanks guys for your input, I appreciate it seriously!

        Hi, Guanxi!

I have to agree with most of what Abby says here, however, I find that a "gun to your head" is often exactly what an aspiring internet marketer needs to get started in a meaningful way - as long as he finds a method that has the potential to make money, and stays focused on making it work. It's unfortunate, but often the threat of bankruptcy or homelessness is the inspiration that causes a newbie to take action. You have to succeed when failure is not an option.

I certainly don't recommend waiting for a "gun to the head" moment to get started taking action, and I sure wouldn't turn down a day job if you can find one.

But it looks like you already have a gun to your head, and at this moment a day job isn't imminent.

Please PM me - I think I can help. This won't cost you anything (except for maybe an aweber account - $1 for the 1st month).

        Good Luck,

        joe

No matter what model you choose they all take work. Especially if youre new because you also have to learn on top of putting work in.

Id say get a job and put food on the table for now and focus on im in your spare time but dont forget it takes work. Easy buttons aren't real lol..

Better off to start part time until you are more experienced and have some regular income coming in.
I would recommend using some free trial products and services for between 7-30 days and taking notes every day then convert those notes into an authentic personal experience type of product review. You could then distribute those reviews to article directories, social media etc. Blogger or wordpress.com are free. When you have money for hosting, you can export all you content into your own wordpress blog site.

If you want quick cash then the minimum time you will have wait is 2 weeks and that's because Fiverr allows you to withdraw funds only after 2 weeks. Join fiverr and put up a gig. You're very likely to get at least 2 sales if your gig holds any value and is reasonable.

The fastest way to make money online is by providing services if you know how to do something like creating websites, writing articles, etc. You have to look for websites like odesk, elance, etc, and offer your services.

However, there is too much competition online - everywhere. Therefore, you have to offer your services at the lowest possible prices, until you'll manage to make some money.

You can make good money online, but it takes time. First of all you have to learn internet marketing very well, otherwise you’ll make many foolish mistakes, and then, pay for them.

Read all posts in the Warrior forum and you’ll learn everything you need. Be a daily visitor, and a good student.

Create also Squidoo lenses without spending anything, and learn into practice how to sell affiliate products online. Squidoo lenses are excellent for beginners.

Here is a lens I created in order to teach everyone how to easily create many Squidoo lenses. I found it too difficult in the beginning and I abandoned this matter. When I went back to Squidoo a year later, I saw that creating a lens is pure joke when you know the basics.

    http://www.squidoo.com/passive-income-website-traffic-squidoo-beginners-guide

However, Squidoo lenses are free platforms and they have a thousand rules. Follow all them if you don’t want to have any problems. Squidoo lenses don’t belong to you, but to the Squidoo system.

You should also frequent the Squidu forum, where you’ll promote your lenses, and learn many interesting traffic generating methods, etc.

You have to create more than 50 lenses in order to make real money with them. There are people who are making around $2000 per month with their lenses (they have hundreds of lenses and many backlinks). However, most people make only around $1 - $100 per month. Use your lenses for having an income stream, and basically for learning how to sell your products online.

Later you’ll learn how to maintain a blog, create your products, etc. Don’t run. Unfortunately, you have a lot to learn. Internet marketing is very complicated in the beginning. It’s like learning how to use a computer. Later, it becomes so simple that you don’t even have to think when you use it.

Be patient. You won’t make enough money now, even if you’ll manage to make a few dollars. Work hard, and you’ll get there.

Hi Andy, welcome WF although I'm very new here myself. I really could use a friend in this place, so I consider you my buddy now, if u dont mind LOL You asked what my biggest problems with IM is really finding a niche, SEO, page ranking and i dunno creating useful content ppl need, from what I gather so far being of service to people and gaining their trust is real important and totally makes sense. Really just getting notice on the internet is my big issue. And also sticking to one method, you get lost with all the info out there, my head is seriously spinning at times LOL

I think you give yourself excellent advice here. If you just stick to one method and not get distracted by all the IM product launches happening every week, you at least stand a chance of succeeding. If you get swept up in the hype and the latest shiny new products flooding the market, your head will keep spinning, and you'll never get anything tangible done.

Perhaps you can explain why "the easiest way" is destined to fail. Should he be looking for the "hardest way"?

I think we are all looking for the easiest way. Isn't that why those making 5 and 6 figures monthly hire employees/outsource etc?
I think perhaps the ideal question we all really want to know is What is the best ROI way of making money online where Investment includes our time/effort not just money. And obviously that now also introduces longetivity on your investment.

They are right. Get a job first. But if you really want to earn money online, then do article writing. It may not be a good pay but it will help you in a little way. There is no easy way to earn money online. You have really have to work hard on it. If you want to sell out some product online, then you have to do SEO or pay per click advertising. But again, you have to invest some money.

    Hello Guanxi,

The important thing is to do something that could generate a sale, and if it doesn't, do it again better.

As Joe said, Ebay gives you a good sales channel that costs next to nothing.

If you don't know what to do with a domain and website, find out about WordPress. Its free and gets you into the habit of writing about something. Obviously, this should be something you could link to other peoples products to sell as an affiliate. You can start with blogger.com if need be.

Look at Google Hot Trends and set up a blog in Blogger on the topic and put in some affiliate links to some relevant products that people interested in the topic might buy. There is a never ending stream of topics and Amazon is full of books and other stuff.

There, three free things to DO.

    Best regards, Gren

So, so true. I've been at this for about a year now, and I'm just starting to see very small benefits. It's difficult and it takes a lot of time, hard work, and patience. For every overnight success story there's thousands of failures. But the reason the vast majority end up failing is because they quit.

I also agree with getting a job first. If you can't get an offline job, online job might work for you. Just like what HiAbby and XanderRite said, you can sell your services in places like Odesk. You can work on projects you're good at and get paid every week. You can then start with IM. You can build blogs and put adsense ads on them.

      Good luck

After that you will just scale up and rinse and repeat.

But, like a previous warrior stated, please load up on the free stuff around here. Great quality for the most part, and there are plenty of case studies about.

There is some great stuff here. I think every person that is new to IM needs to think this way:

      1. Income First - get a job or work for someone - even yourself doing writing or whatever to get an income.

      2. Put your own site up - selling your own product or someone elses.

It doies take time and money in the IM business to get things started.

If you have no money to invest at all, I would say that you could do a few different things. They take work and the results are slow, but it is doable.

      1. Sell things around your house on ebay and craigslist
      2. Creating videos on youtube and promote clickbank products
      3. Write articles and send traffic to clickbank products
      4. Paid surveys....There are a few that work, but you really have to work it!

Internet marketing can be rough if you have nothing to invest. I would try to figure out if there is something to do like cut grass to get some extra money to invest in your business.

Creat one or two really useful Fiverr.com gigs and put them in your signature. Try and build backlinks to your gigs. Make sure it's a gig you can do in less than half and hour though otherwise you'll be more or less working for minimum wage. The purpose of this is to generate start up funds in your Paypal account (DO NOT BLOW ANY OF IT ON UNIMPORTANT THINGS!!! It's solely for start ups funds) You can get a WSO for free as stated a few posts ago. I'm currently testing a free WSO and the only start up funds needed is for a domain name, hosting and an autoresponder (which you can get free if you really need to(ListWire.com)). Anyway just browse about and pick info, but it's really useful to have your own site and a lead catcher on there. I know you asked for a free method, but you can get started with less that $50 really. Surely $50 isn't much to raise if you don't have it now! Especially if you offer services for $5-10 a pop. Just be sure to take ACTION and stixk to one idea until you make it work and don't let minor setbacks disturb your rhythm. Be consistent.

    Good Luck,

    Hi,
There is money to be made online, we do this day after day, in several niche areas, but it has taken time, time to piece all the jigsaw together and find the pieces the big gurus tend to miss out after taking your cash. Here is a simple way. Go to ebay, search for items which the seller has more than 1 available, check his sales stats by clicking on the number next to his sellers name, if he is making regular daily sales then go back to the main page, go to advanced settings and click on completed listings, check the sales of other items which are the same, if they are also selling regularly they will be highlighted in green, if so.....
you could buy the item and resell it as a test, then find the product wholesale, try Alibaba.com.
So you've found a market, and a product, now make sure you sell it, better, better sales page etc, even think about putting a video on your sales page, or free content for the reader, maybe a 30 day money back guarantee, ie copy, but copy a whole lot better.
We make daily sales this way and is just one of several systems we earn a living online daily. i must admit ebay isn't my favourite way as you do have to ship products, but we do just let it tick along, and its a great way to start.
When you feel your feet, find help, and get into affiliates, information products etc.

Depends on what you know and how much experience you have.
Eg. I know quite a bit about affiliate marketing theoretically but not practically so it wouldn't be wise to try and earn a bit of money doing affiliate marketing.
On the other hand I have created websites in the past (very simple) but don't know much coding and theory compared to aff m - but I can still make money from this!

Web design? Graphics? Keyword research? Article marketing?

There are people here RIGHT NOW who are willing to pay for those things.

Go out and find some. Do some work for them. Collect the money. Then invest it in an ad under Warriors For Hire.

Continue being active here and developing your reputation. Find more clients. Do more work. Invest it in a domain and hosting.

You will, at this point, be very good at whatever it is you do. Write down how you do it and why you do it that way. Take a lot of screenshots. And make a little report on what you do.

Send it to some of your clients for feedback; they MUST like the way you do things, because they pay you money for the results. They'll give you good reviews.

Then do a WSO. Run it through WSO Pro. And set up a 50% commission affiliate program through WSO Pro. Tell your clients you're releasing it, and give them an opportunity to get affiliate links for it.

That should jump start you. It's not what I did - I fumbled around a lot more figuring out what to do and why - but it's what I'd do today if I had to start over.

Now you are broke? Ok... does that mean that you have put money into various programs in those months you were trying?

If so...I'd take the program that seems the best to you and focus only on relearning and following the steps in that program to start. Once you got that information down good, and I mean good that you can do it without having to look up what you are supposed to do and how, then maybe take the next program and see what additional skills you might be able to add to what you have learned in the first program, etc.

Work in ONE niche to start. Pick something that you know about. Search these forums for what to do without spending money.

We are basically in the same position
For awhile I've mostly just lurked around WF reading and teaching myself everything there is to learn about IM.
One thing I've discovered though is you need to invest some money to make it in this business. At least to purchase a domain name and webhosting.
In the beginning I was really hoping to find a sure way I can earn money for absolutely free, then I discovered if I did it that way I'd be earning less than 50 bucks a year.
So now I've just decided to start small, get my feet wet, learn the ins and outs of this business. It is very appropriate for this site to be called "The Warrior Forum" because as cheesy as it sounds, it feels like a battle out there. So many people trying to take advantage of us newbies, at the same time, so many trying to help us. It's very difficult to tell one from the other unfortunately.
I've decided to just do IM part time for now and keep my day job. Hopefully someday when I've learned alot I can do this full time.
Get a day job first. If you have some extra cash, invest in The War Room. It's one of the best investments a newbie who's serious about IM can make. There's lots of free money making info there, I've already filled my iBooks library with just free stuff. Plus the posts there are amazing, you feel like you're quietly sitting in a corner listening to IM masters discuss the business.
From one newbie to another, I wish you luck.

Making money online is a business as well. Like all other business, it requires investment- time, money & education to make a profit.

If you are happy with 5 months effort, it's upto you. But for me, it took longer time.

    Good luck.

Make a list of all of the computer-related services that you are capable of doing. Sell those services to other people who need that service. I know a lot of people mentioned fiverr and I recommend them too.

Offer your services in some manner. I don't know what you are good at to give you ideas, but there are plenty of options available.

Use this to pay your bills.

If you end up with extra, THEN you can start playing the IM game that takes longer to really get rolling.

If I were to suddenly lose my job tomorrow (theoretical as I am actually on winter layoff :p) I would immediately use some of the money in my paypal account and offer writing services to keep on my feet.

I would spend every ounce of free time from there to continue just hammering packs on my PLR store as that is autopilot money that I don't have to chase down as much.

There is much more I could do, but this would keep things focused.

I made sure to put things in place in case that became a reality (though my ghostwriting site is not marketed or linked from anywhere now.)

This might work for you, or you may find another path that is better. In either case you need to get an immediate income in the short term.

I'm afraid this isn't going to work for the OP, as he has stated that he is running low on money and needs to make some immediately. There are very few affiliate programs that pay instantly, and even then it'd take some time for him to drive traffic to one of these instant affiliate offers, since he doesn't have money for paid traffic or other tools and resources.

I still think that offering services is probably the best way for him to start making money almost immediately, as I've mentioned above. All that's left is for him to implement this now, instead of "researching" and seeking out some "secret" way of making money online quickly (because it doesn't exist, especially when you're a newbie).

Ok those 5 five months I'll admit i was 100% devoted but its been on my mind. Now Im severely broke, and want something that requires no money for startup. Even if I was to have a domain name, I wouldnt know how to develop it. So my question here is what is the easiest way for me to earn cash!!!

Lots of people want to know "how to make money" online. Making money is the same everywhere - offline, online, in any country. You have to figure out what you can offer people that they would be happy and excited to exchange cash for. No one can tell you the best way to make money, or which method, etc. without knowing what you are good at.

I agree that you should get a job first to keep the wolves away.

Then when you have steady income, you can really think about what you can bring to the marketplace. Because that's what it's about, yes? It's about figuring out what you know, or do well, or want to learn, and then figuring out how to leverage that into a very nice income.

There are oodles of ways to make money, and many people that succeed and fail in all of them. Some people make good cash on ebay, others fail. Some make 6 figures writing, while many fail. The same goes for every field and way of making income. For every success on fiverr, I can show you a dozen with no takers. For every designer, copywriter, seo, affiliate marketer or bum marketer that is doing well, many more are failing.

Many of them fail because they have not chosen the field that's best for them. Many more fail because they dabble instead of diving in.

No one can pick the best way for you, because in the long run, it comes down to what your interests are, and how devoted you are to choosing one area and persisting in that area (and learning) until you succeed.

Too many people approach IM like a buffet, nibbling a little here and a bite there and never digging into one area and sticking with it long enough to make it work.

Once you have a job and an income, pick one thing to focus on, and ignore everything else. Unsubscribe from 95% of the lists you are on and only read the ones devoted to that one thing you decide to focus on.

In the beginning, you do not need to know everything. You do not need all the tricks and secrets. You just need to know (a) what will you sell (b) where will you sell it (c) who are your customers (d) how will you reach them. Then go do that. Get some customers first.

You can learn the "tricks" to amp up later, once you see some income coming in. It's too easy to get distracted and focus is important in the beginning stages.

Lack of focus and chasing the 'next great idea' kills lots of dreams.

I got online in 1996 when I was a newly divorced single mom. I had a child to support and no credit card due to the divorce. It took me 3 years to reach full time income, but I finally did it. I quit my day job in 1999 and have worked online full time since. If I could do it, anyone can. You can do it, too. Best of luck to you.

You are lucky!! you have only spent 5 months in your quest so far! my journey has been that many YEARS ! Finally, I have forund some good, sincere and genuine people who have real answers... I can share those names in a minute-- so much is out there - I had to find somebody simply tell me to stop looknig at the next shiny object until you actually master one thing! For m, I needed to get a coach, but you can get there by doing it with very little out of pocket--see marketing with sara (she is developing a coaching program) or mark thompson, or niche blitzkrieg, or if you want a coach -tristan bull-- if you 'dot com' them you will be able to locate them I believe.

It really depends on your skill set, but with a bit of knowledge you can make a very decent living. Here are a few ideas:

      FIVERR

This was already mentioned, but it's still an easy way to do small, simple tasks in exchange for a bit of money. If you're good at something that people on Fiverr want, you could easily make a bit every day.

Alternatively, you could try making this your 'job', but you need to be at it at least five hours a day to make a bit of income.

      NICHE AFFILIATE SITES

Find some affiliate products through ClickBank, Google, Amazon, PayDotCom, wherever you want. Do some quick research on the keywords to make sure there is traffic coming to them. Create a site with a good domain that has the keyword you're shooting for. Optimize the site for that keyword. Post a few bits of content. Put the product up for people to click, then backlink it until it's at the top. Rinse and repeat and you slowly add $400 per month...plus another $400...plus a decent niche you found which gets $800, plus a smaller site which took 2 hours to set up and now gets you $200 per month. See? It all adds up over time and it's totally worth the discipline and focus.

      FREELANCE WORK

If you have skills you can sell to others online I'm sure you can make a post here on the WarriorForum offering those services. Just figure out what you know a bit about. What have you learned in the past five months?

      LOCAL WORK

Do you know how to set up an autoresponder to build an email list? You can sell this service to local businesses and teach them about how they can use an email list to make more money. You can either teach them to use AWeber and give them a report on different monetizing methods (single payment) or maintain their email list for them (reoccurring payment!) Do you know how to set up WordPress? Is there a local place which has an awful looking website? Go in and talk to them. See if they want some "internet person" to help them get a decent site, listed in G/Y/B, and ranking for local keywords or showing up under local search. This cool easily be $1,000 per client if you sell right.

      WORK ON YOUR BLOG

You say you need to wait for a while until your blog ranks? It's not a roaster that you let sit for several hours and then it's done. If it really takes six months to a year to rank for a keyword you are not doing the SEO correctly. Build backlinks for your blog. Make content for your blog. Create new ways to monetize your blog so that when you DO rank you're getting income left and right.

      MAKE ANOTHER BLOG

There are these sites called Satellite sites which are smaller blogs you develop and rank for smaller keywords, but the blog frequently links to your main, bigger blog to pass on link juice. If you have a large site you're trying to rank in competitive markets, make a few satellite sites which frequently point towards your main site, and rank/promote these satellite sites to rank for certain less competitive keywords that are relavent to your niche. This could help you out in the long run quite a bit!

      Good luck,
      Nick

The only easy way that I know about is in the drug business. And they work hard too. Really, you are not the first one to ask that question. If you need money then get a job.

Great posts in here (and a couple of not so great, but surely well meant ones too).

OP - you say that you are seriously broke right now and you want something that doesn't require any money to start. You don't actually say that you need the returns immediately, but I'm assuming that is the case as well.

I will also operate under the assumption that you absolutely, positively need to do it online for whatever reason. (If this is not the case, I'd say getting a job and working part time on your IM is a great idea).

Here's my two step advice for such situation.

      1. Start by offering services. Figure out what your skills are and how can you create value for other people. This will generate the fastest cash if you don't have any resources and not much knowledge too (also assumptions here).

That could be writing, designing, setting up and configuring wordpress with its plugins, recording voiceover.. basically, a lot of skills that you have can be turned into money online.

Offer your services here, on fiverr, to any contacts online that you have.

This won't generate millions, but it can be a life saver (I have written articles when in a tight spot and won't hesitate to do it again if needed!).

      2. Whatever time you have left, dedicate it 20% to learning new stuff, and 80% of applying what you have learned. By that I don't mean buying useless (and useful) e-books. Save your hard earned money, and learn the information available here for free. The already mentioned thread is a perfect place to start (http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...2-24-11-a.html), and there are a couple of others too.

This is the important part - don't spend all your time learning. Actually almost everything there is about IM that you need to know to start making money is relatively simple, trust me on this one. Spend most of your time doing - and don't hesitate to ask questions here, if you have doubts.

But let me tell you right there - most of the stuff works, if you put time and effort into it.

      This is the key.

It is never fast with passive income, and especially if you start with no money.

This is going to take time.

Keep at it, and you will go places

Good luck and if you want you can PM me with questions that you have, I don't know everything, but I do know some of this and some of that

Look you are putting the cart before the horse! The idea here is to tap into a Market. Some Marketers make this mistake so don't feel like a pregnant nun.

If you look hard enough you can find a demand for any products that you can create. But the big question is not the demand, but will they spend money for the information.

Example: with the foreclosure market that is going on in the country now, clearly the market is out there, but do you think the people who just lost their homes are in the mood for a info product that "says what to do after a foreclosure"

Yeah, if its FREE. But are they prepared to spend money for the information? I would think not.

Lets say that if I ran an ad suggesting that I could stand on my head and piss out of my nose for 10,000. And did not get one response. The market has spoken.

But someone might respond if a told them I would do it for FREE. I have friends who sell stuff for $1. What that means is they have a credit and not afraid to use it.

Offering services is the way to go if you are broke. Save up the money you'll get from freelancing to fund up your way to making sites for affiliate products or whatever stuff that you will be promoting. Go to Fiverr, or Odesk and try to earn your first dollar online.

This is definitely one of the faster ways to make money online, but the newbie will have to be really focused and consistent in driving traffic to the sales page (preferably you'd want your traffic to land on a squeeze page, so that you can capture your prospects' email addresses before they proceed any further).

I have come across a few friends who has similar challenges like you.

When their main objective is to generate quick income to pay for their bills, they get disappointed, frustrated, angry and mad if what they do does not make them money.

If you want manage your emotion, very clear that you want to make money with the IM ways, then you may do whatever it takes.

I really mean it - whatever it takes to master one way to make money online and do not hop around for new ways.

All the ways work, but most of us lost focus if we start to do more than one thing at a time

STOP, THINK, DECIDE and TAKE MASSIVE ACTION.

It is the inner self that create the external result

I suggest that you find a good program to get involved in online that doesn't make your head spin, that is easy to follow and can make you some money. Something you can focus on and take action on that doesn't take gobs of time or money to learn the IM ropes. One that has great potential to get your feet wet in IM without breaking the bank.

Get one that operates on the principle that money can be made by giving away something for free. Many experienced IMers apply this principle (on a grand scale) to drive big bucks into their accounts.

Choose a simple system that any newbie can realistically achieve. Hopefully one that comes with a website already set up. Then move on to more robust programs later after making your first dollars online.

And how do you choose this program? Basically, it comes down to how you FEEL about it. Does it feel good when you read the sales page? There are some pretty slick presentations out there with all sorts of psychological triggers built in to suck your money out of your wallet, and unfortunately, you may fall for some of those.

But just know that the IM road to success has a few potholes in it and try to avoid them by keeping your awareness keen. Sure, you may need a front end alignment on occasion, but that comes with the territory. Keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel, and you'll arrive at your destination.

Aaron, you've hit the nail squarely on the head here with this advice. The real issue here is that people are in an emotional state when they want to make money quickly, and this almost never is a good thing, as you're not in the proper state of mind to really focus on one method until you attain success with it (you tend to jump around and are impatient for quick results when your emotions are running high).

    Hello Warriors,

    Guanxi,

As you learn the basics you will hear ALOT about the Public Domain... because well it's a fantastic free resource to create new products out of with ENDLESS supply of content.

This is my method, I'm new also but I don't believe in spending money to make money, ok the exception is a training manual and a domain name then read until your eyes hurt, lol.

Just like you I was confused and didn't know where to start, didn't trust everything I read, I used common sense, saw the snake oil salesmen for what/who they were, I started my learning in August 2010 with the blog at publicdomaintreasurehunter(dot)com, what convinced me is the QUALITY content of the blog, if the blog is QUALITY then the training manual can't be too far from it either, so I bought the training manual and have been learning ever since. How to make money using a free resource is a concept I can get into.

There is ALOT to learn no matter what you choose but I agree with others here, choose ONE thing and learn it well but don't just read...act on what you've read, yes learn the basics about the other things as you go along (SEO, Website Monetization, Affiliate, Article and Video Marketing, etc) to get the concept but go back to your main money making project of focus.

    Just my two cents

You can look at it this way,the internet is NEVER going away and you will be a marketer for life if you choose to be so learn by building a solid foundation of knowledge just like building a house, you start with the foundation first then the framework, etc.

Plenty of very nice repplies. You can find so many ways to make money without spending a dime here in Warrior Forum.

The ONLY key to succeed is: stick with your damn gameplan and don't change it. Adjust little bit, that's it. The only thing you need to learn is doing the same thing that you like and you know that works every week. Let yourself time to succeed. I did $0 in my first 8 months and now everything flows because of that consistency.

Make your mind and don't change it because IM products sellers are good at getting your attention.

Very well put, gabbygal This is such a useful metaphor that I thought it was important to recognize it. Like others on this thread, you are also very generous in sharing the inside view on how you got through that tough beginning phase.

ChaCha pays .02 cents per question you answer, pays well if you treat it like a regular 8 hour job. Fiverr you can offer to do whatever for $5. Write blogs and have backlinks to all your other blogs, promoting products.

I think that newbs should just start with a single idea. A free WSO or a free thread in the forum.. there are plenty! Just stop spending tons of hours on the forums if you are and start working on something that you know will make money(some one else has done it). You must want to succeed and you will within due time. You can not succeed however if you do not have the drive or work ethic to do so.

If you are desperate to make money, you most likely will not. It's very hard to build anything when you are coming from a position of lack. If money is what you need right now, then take care of that by finding something that will give you a steady pay check. Once your living expenses are taken care of, then focus on IM.

Easiest and least expensive barrier to entry. Become an affiliate promoting high value offers. Use this simple three step process to not suffer from IM overload:

Hosted Site promoting Offer >> Drive Traffic >> Get the Conversion (through tweaking and testing)

    That's where i'd start.

Freelance work is the way to go -- to begin with.

There are always people that buy articles, especially on the WF.

Even if you write articles for $3 buck a pop - it's still money.

Or be a VA, or build links. If your broke -- anything is good enough to get some capital.

There will always be people wanting to outsource stuff they hate doing.

This is probably the best way to start for near-instant and fairly consistent cash. I know that this sort of work is humbling and not very glamorous at all, but you'll still be earning money that you seem to desperately need right now - this is not the time to be picky about what you will or will not do!

Of course, you should work on your IM at the same time. Allocate 2-3 hours each day to focus on a single technique/method in IM until you start seeing some tangible results, and then scale up from there. Reinvest some of the money you make from your freelancing work into your internet marketing, and slowly build it up as time and resources allow.

    Here's the formula...

    1. Find out what people are already buying (ebay, amazon,
    clickbank, etc)

    2. Find the keywords they use to find the product (Google
    Keyword Tool)

    3. Generate traffic using the keywords in step 2 (PPC, SEO,
    etc)

    That's it.

    Thanks,

I don't want to point the finger down below at all the signature files that are floating around at the bottom of each of these posts...but - I bet a few of them are FREE and will help you to get income. You can also take the JOB route to make some money. Internet marketing does take some knowledge and sometimes it costs money.

I buy stuff and if I find just one thing that works- it is a good investment.

That being said - there has to be one signature file here on the WF or one post that can help you out. None of us know which business is for you...only you know that. However, I think there is a small truckload of us here ready to give you some great tips that will help on your path. Be Well and good luck.

I would say if you've just started you might like to sell 2nd hand books on amazon.

    1. Sell your old books or friends old books or books from the charity
shops. I'll be releasing a report on this shortly.

It's free and you'll start making small amounts of money fast.
I was making around £50 to £100 per week when I did it.

    2. Sell your old stuff on ebay so you can se how the system works.
There are a lot of free videos on you tube to get you started.

    3. Join ecademy.com for business people or whatever forum for
    your passion of profession.

Write a brilliant free report e.g "7 common mistakes in meeting women"
then offer it on the forum in your signature after you've posted
valuable content and people will take up your offer and you'll
    be building your subscriber list.

When you get to 100 or more you can release your first product
    and make your first sale.

How long will it take. It's up to you.

If you're commited then spend 2 hours every day and it could take
you a few weeks, amazon & ebay strategy could take a few days or
    every a few hours.

Here's a quote that will inspire you..

"Commitment is the acceptance of pain as a cost
    towards the benefit"....

Make 100 reasons WHY you must make money online within the next

Gotta' love it when people are asking for
the easy way out for anything and everything.

" I've worked hard, but nothing works "

    Define working hard, please?

If you want a buck or two, I'd recommend washing some
cars or perhaps some even get a day job. Nothing promises
you that you'll even make any money with Internet marketing.
If something doesn't work, Is it worth sticking around?

Depending on your financial situation, you may be able to give
this a bit more time until you start seeing 'some' success, but
until then, keep trucking along. Keep searching for a method
that works and scale it up.

Rinse and Repeat methods that work, stop looking for that "magical gem".

One site I find useful for getting some extra money while waiting for commissions to flow in is Microworkers, which is a free to join freelance network (unlike sites like go freelance and ifreelance which require you to pay money to use and have you bid for projects you want to do) that I have been using lately, and have made about $30 so far doing odd jobs for fellow members, such as "liking" a video, bookmarking various articles, commenting on blogs, linking to websites, etc. I find that site useful for raising extra funds. Of course, most jobs don't pay very much (usually $1 or less depending on task and who the poster is), and you do have to do lots of jobs each day to really profit from it. By the way, I have seen mixed reviews about the site (some think it is scammy), but I've made about $30 so far via payal with it (I don't use it everyday due to competing tasks, such as my day jobs), but find it useful to earn a little extra. Thought that I would point that out.

I can see how this site would garner some scammy reviews, given that it's not unlike Amazon's Mechanical Turk service, where the system can be gamed by unscrupulous hirers/requesters to get unassuming workers to perform black hat, unethical tasks for them.

    Hi guanxi,
There are two plans to make you some quick money, you can follow the one you like:
    1)The Affiliate Route:
There are several products tht will pay you 100% commission on every sale ,directly to your PayPal account.Just Google the term "direct to your PayPal account, over and over again"

You'll find dozens of such products in almost every big niche.

The next step is to promote such products. For that I would advise you to use forum marketing, article marketing and video marketing.

Join 5-6 forums in your niche and start adding value to the place.Majority of forums allow affiliate links in the signature. As your post count increase, you'll sttart getting traffic to your links.

Doing this consistently for a week should easily bring you $50-$100 per day.

Next is article marketing. You don't need to be an expert to succeed with articles. There is plenty of information on the net.Just google the name of your niche and visit a few websites listed in the top.You can find plenty of information on the article directories like EzineArticles too.

Now what you have to do is condense this information in 400-500 word articles and submit it to as many article directories as you can.

Submitting 10-15 articles per day should start bringing you $100+ in 1-2 weeks.Once money comes rolling in,you can outsource the article writing work.

And then there is always video marketing to help you.Contrary to the popular belief, video marketing is not hard and the most technically challenged person can do it.

You don't need studio quality videos to be successful with video marketing. You can use free tools like Animoto to create decent quality videos for free and then submit them to video sharing sites like Youtube,DailyMotion,Google videos with the help of free tool TubeMogul.

ArticleVideoRobot is another tool that can help you to get started with video marketing. This tool allows you to create live, talking videos from articles. You can use your articles or PLR articles for that purpose.

You can try this tool free for 14 days.Besides creating videos,it'll also submit your videos to all the top video sharing sites. One week of your consistent efforts should start brining you enough traffic to generate at least $50 a day.

So implementing the above mentioned three traffic getting methods consistently for 2 weeks should start bringing you $100-$200 per day.Next you can use that money to take leverage from others and scale up your operations to bring in $500+ per day by outsourcing the hard work.

Please note that this is not some theoretical plan.About two years ago,I was in your position and I used these techniques to get out of that situation. So you can be fully assured that this system works.

I'll discuss Method 2 as well as video marketing method later on....
    Thanks

You could learn some skills and offer different services here, on Fiverr, DigitalPoint, Freelancer.com, oDesk.com, etc.

I have to agree with most of the posts that suggest getting a job - you are at least guaranteed a paycheck. Do not trade your valuable time now for a promise of riches in the future!

The only real way to make money online quickly is to pay for traffic and you don't have money for that and even if you did, if you don't know what your doing you will probably lose all of it anyway. Or, offer a service that people want, like link building, article writing etc, that you can advertise on this forum.

Take a longer term view, get some money coming into you pocket with a regular job and do some IM on the side. There are plenty of free ways to make money online and most of them can be found somewhere around this forum, it just takes time to set up and start earning regularly.

    Good Luck My Friend!

Too anyone looking to make money online, without any investment... It is easy! Use fiverr! Since putting my gig up 8 days ago, i have made $40. This may not seem alot, but its 100% profit and it takes no time at all. As i am a new member i cant post links, but please message me and i will show you my gig, and explain exactly how i do it.

    Josh.

    Hello Friend,
There is no such quick way to earn money online. A hard work and time is very much required to earn extra money online. I think you should search a job for not getting frustrated in near future.Beside your job you can try to earn extra money.
