can you really make a killing on autoblogging, enough to quit your job, and earn a 7 figure income online?

Has anyone got into autoblogging and actually making money with it

I hate when people think that they can just do no work and make a lot of money this is rarely the case. Be passionate. Make an authority site about something you know. Come up with a new business idea. You will go far!

Autoblogging is a ton of work if you really want to make money using it. I tried it for a minute and built up about 25 sites. They make me a little money and if I built another 500 to go with them I might be able to make a full time income. It is a lot of work to get there, however, and there are better ways.

An autoblog is never going to be a high quality site that people will return to time and time again. A lot of autoblogs is nothing but spam clogging up the SERPs. Google is cracking down on such sites. I would recommend that you spend your time and money creating a good quality blog that people will come back to and want to get more information from you. It cost almost next to nothing to have an original decent article written. It is beyond me why people scrape crap articles for the sake of saving a few seconds and a couple of dollars on decent content.

WOW...so many negative comments here that are nothing more than personal opinions. This often leads to misinformation, miscommunication and misunderstandings.

Can you make money autoblogging...yes, contrary to popular belief
Are all autoblogs spam...no, contrary to popular belief (once again)
Are all autobloggers filling the internet with spam...not hardly, especially those of us building quality sites

I could sit here all day and do battle with the forces of evil from the auto haters camp but instead I will simply say that autoblogging isn't what it used to be and many people have greatly misrepresented it here. This happens because people can’t let go of what they remember autoblogging to be (when it was really popular years ago and most likely when they failed at it too). Back then it was scraping sites, stealing content and slapping together tons of sites in a matter of minutes hoping to rank simply based on quantity...not quality. Much of that has changed now and it simply isnt like that today.

One word of caution...if you are a complete newbie I would recommend you learn a fair amount about IM before you dive into autoblogging. It's not necessarily newbie friendly but can be quite rewarding when you get the hang of it.

You are absolutely right that this thread is filled with opinions, but that is typical of any thread. You are also right that money can be made with autoblogging and if it is done right I am sure you can make quite a bit of money with it.

I am actually a huge fan of autoblogging because when others do it correctly and use some of my content I get backlinks to my sites. Back in the day it used to be more of a problem because nobody included the links in the resource box, but if you do it properly and include them, then it benefits all involved.

I've got no issue with simply posting an opinion, what I have issue with is opinions that are blatantly negative without any type of real evidence to support it.

Simply saying something sucks or that it's "spam clogging up the SERPS" or that Google is "cracking down" on something without any REAL evidence is pure opinion based on nothing but conjecture. When this is done it doesn't help anyone, especially newbies who don't know better.

I assume there will be posts following this one referencing Googles latest algo change...

Before someone posts that they may want to do some research to see what types of sites have actually been hit by the change. When you do this you will find that it's not autoblogs but "content farms"...big difference between the two actually.

I also go against the popular belief.

I belive its possible to make good money with autoblogs, but its not easy money, you have to work, and you have to do it right or you gonna end up like me.

I had only one autoblog and it was making $12/day with adsense, but i was careless and made a few mistakes, my site generated over 20.000 repeated pages. My autoblog domain got banned from google serach and google is not indexing new posts from 3 other regular blogs that i have on the same server.

So, if you want to do it, make sure you learn how to do it right.

See...now this is valuable information based on personal experience, not just opinions.

Also, take note that danilo had problems autoblogging but still basically supports the concept (and is offering helpful info to everyone in the process). That not only speaks to the validity of autoblogging as an IM method but danilos charecter as well. If someone is honest enough to admit their mistake (especially one that could easily be used to demonstrate autoblog failure without admitting individual fault) then that says a lot about both (IMO).
