What is the ultimate way to attract affiliates? Does it just take time?

I realize JVs might be a big answer to this question. But what else? Joining many affiliate programs?

The best way is to have a great offer for affiliates. Offer a high commission percentage and give them tools to help them promote your stuff.

Another good way is to actually convert your customers into affiliates on the back end.

The best way to attract affiliates is to create a killer product or service that people use, love, and rave about.

Then combine that with a great sales letter.

Top it off with a high conversion rate and generous commissions.

Remember a desirable product/service and a compelling offer is the key to attracting affiliates.

If you have that they will come knocking at your door.

And if they come knocking at your door already you can imagine how much easier it is to get other affiliates by you contacting them.

If no one is knocking at your door... and you have had exposure in your market to a lot of traffic and potential buyers then you may still need to work on your offer first to make it more compelling and desirable.

Best way is to offer a Cold Beer to the first one to make you $10,000

No but serious, I agree with both Josh and Matthew.

You have to offer them the best.

P.S. No matter how high your commissions are if your product, your offer, and your sales page sucks you will get nowhere.

Affiliates look for a high selling product with high commissions and high earnings. If you have a product which gives these high's then affiliates will come to you.

You can also give them extra commission if they sell more of your products.

Can anyone speak to their experience using Willie Crawford's Joint Venture membership website? Or clickbank? Or Commission Junction? In the joint venture section here? Or?????? Affiliates won't come unless you put your killer offer in front of them, right? So where do you place your offers?

      Can I add something..?

Just email to your subscribers. Ask them to become your affiliate.
If you apply a right strategy in building a good relationship with them,
I'm sure they will be queuing up to become your affiliate when you launch
      a product.

I think mailing a (physical) postcard or sincere letter would be a great idea. Especially to get the attention of the big affiliates.

The idea is to stand out from the crowd and to show a commitment on your part to be willing work together with your affiliates. Everyone knows that E-mail is easy to send and virtually costless. It doesn't say very much when you send an email... but when you send a physical mailing piece, that speaks a lot about your sincerity and commitment.

    Here is some tips:

Make an attractive sign-up offer: To attract affiliates to assist you in better product marketing, you need to be generous in terms of money and reward offers. Affiliates will not sign up for your program if you don’t make it worth their time-investment. Initially, you should even consider splitting half of your product revenues to encourage affiliate participation.

Make the affiliate sign-up process easier: if you have plans to create a network of affiliates to promote your product, make the sign-up process easy for affiliates to get started.

Have graphics available to help affiliates with marketing. It is a good idea to create a variety of graphics or banners for affiliates to use when marketing your product.

Reward high-producing affiliates: everyone likes to be rewarded for their efforts and hard work. You can use this simple human psychology to your advantage by offering monthly bonuses to the most productive product marketing and sales affiliates.

Increase payout options: individuals have different payment preferences so having a variety of payout options for your affiliates can sweeten the pot. Consider setting up payment options through multiple channels such as Paypal, wire transfers, and even manual checks.

Go to the leaderboards and contact the top affiliates there. 98% of all the affiliates you contact here won´t send you any sales at all. Go for the already proven to work people on these leaderboards and not just average Joe.

Attracting more affiliates to your business does not matter evidently because the issue is not of the more affiliates you get, the more money you make. No, it`s how to manage your affiliates successfully and how to help them make money promoting your products and services. You need to be engaged. If you keep your affiliates happy, they will likely be more productive, which means more money for them as well as for you!

    Thanks

    1. High commission rate (nobody got time to promote low commission product). I would recommend at least 30% commission. 10%, 20% is just too low.

    2. Good product and easy to sell out. If your product is not a good product, it is very hard to promote.

    3. It surely takes time.

I'm an affiliate for over the span of years and I know what affiliates are looking for. High commission and good product, that's all.
