Start today with this simple method that will cost you NOTHING to try and you'll see benefits in only a few days if done correctly:

- Sign up to amazon affiliate scheme.

- Find a product on amazon. Make it as niche as possible, but still with 250+ searches a month for the main product term, for example 'pleo dinosaur'. Use google KW tool to check. Go for items above £30. Or else the commission is just pants.

- From the related terms in the google keyword tool find a longtail version of the main term. The best ones usually include the main term with a couple of extra words in like 'buy pleo dinosaur' or 'pleo dinosaur robot toy'. make sure its a buying keyword too - (a quick check is to see if it has any adwords ads.

- Once you have your term, get a blogger blog. 'keyword phrase'.blogspot.com is what you want. Now you need to make a post with some content on. Write a 300 word article about the product you are promoting. Stuck for words? Take amazons copy, or wikipedias copy, or even a bit of both and rewrite it. add a big call to action at the top of the post, maybe a button saying click here to find out more. obviously, link it up to your affiliate link. Make the title of the post a keyword rich one.

- once your blogspot blog is looking like it could get some good clickthrough rates, you need to get it indexed. Now google owns blogspot, so theres some synergy there i hope where it's already pinged that a new blog exists. But i go through a ritual that makes sure my blog or site is indexed every time FAST.

Follow this list:
1. add the blog into feedburner (google owns again).
2. subscribe to your own blog through google reader (google owns again).
3. add your blog to your webmaster tools account with google (you guessed it.)
4. add google analytics to your blog (hmm...)
5. add the blog to technorati.
6. ping the blog using a ping service (pingoat, pingomatic)
7. drop a link at three relevant forums where someone is asking about the product, or something related to the product where you can reply by linking to your blogspot blog. This will mean searching on google and signing up to a few forums, make sure you add some value before you start dropping links though, as you coudl get banned, aswell as your posts deleted.
8. Build a generic blog at tumblr.com about shopping/retail, whatever. Add a couple of generic short 50-100 word posts about shopping, include a link to the blogspot blog. YOu can use this tumblr blog to link to any future blogspots you do too.

Now, you'll get indexed. You just will within a couple of days, trust me.

Whether you rank will depend on the uniqueness and quality of your content. You might just find you'll be ranking 3 or 4th for the term, behind amazon maybe and a couple of other shops. Then you will be slowly earning commissions.... that's where you go away and do another one exactly the same method.
