    • Not selling a thing Heavy...just thought this would be helpful to some...obviously not you.

    • Heavy, one of the best things about the WF is being able to learn from other peoples mistakes and hear about the personal obstacles they encounter and how they plan to overcome them.

Knowing that others, especially the successful ones, need to take action to grow somehow makes me at least, committed to try that little bit harder.

I am looking forward to hearing your plan of attack Joe.

  • For me it's total inexperience and having to learn from the start. I think I am now in the right place to overcome this. At least I should start to see some results for what I put in. This hasn't always been the case but I haven't always had Warrior either.

  • I can sum up in one word what's holding me back at the moment

  • Radhika, I do understand where you are coming from about not being much of a talker as this was another of my problems of which I was able to overcome after a couple years of dealing with many clients and large corporations. You simply just have to do it and eventually you will feel comfortable with it which in turn will make it easier.

This is same way I plan to overcome my personal branding dilemma.

Although with me it's not so much of not being a talker as it is being a little self concious of my appearance.

I have no problem with one on one consultation either by phone or in person as this is something that is almost a daily part of my business but when it comes to posting my pic or making videos that include me I just always felt uncomfortable.

As far as being on a stage I have performed as a drummer in front of a few thousand on numerous occassions but the thought of being on a stage as the front man makes me uneasy.

I guess what I am trying to say is the only way to get past this is by forcing yourself out of your comfort zone (which is exactly what I intend on doing)

  • The thing holding me back is that to be in this business you have to not only sell your products but also sell yourself. I know people like to know who they are dealing with but like you I'm not one comfortable in front of camera and such...oh well, keep us updated..

    • Hi Addie, that is not necessarily so, I mean I do consider myself to be successful and I have never tried to really promote myself only my products and services.

It IS possible to create a successful business without promoting yourself or getting personal, many have done so including myself. However in IM personal branding opens up many opportunities that can and will have a direct effect in your businesses growth...I learned this the hard way eventhough I knew it all along I chose to ignore it.

Trust me...If I can make a decision to work past this and follow through then ANYONE can and this will be apparent when you see my pic an videos. I am disabled and because of my disability I don't quite look like everyone else...I am unique but this has never stopped me in acheiving my goals or doing the things I enjoy and living a full life.

Through my personal branding I hope to not only inspire others marketers but also those who may feel that a disability is holding them back.

Do you know what is holding you back from success or increased success? Sometimes whether we want to admit it or not we DO know what is holding us back but for some reason or other we do nothing about it as it is easier to just shrug it off than it is to deal with it.
