I Found 15 New Niches Today...How Many Can You Find?

You ever run out of niche ideas or things to try and promote?

If you are doing niche affiliate marketing, being able to find new and strong niches to move into is one of the most important things that you have to do.

The problem is, at least the problem that people tell me about is not being able to find a good niche. Well, why not let other people tell you what the good niches are? Why not let other people give you niche ideas that you can profit from?

Earlier today I was bored so, I thought I would do a little bit of research. So, I started hitting the normal spots like Yahoo answers, YouTuve, and board reader and then I made my way over to EzineArticles.

Once I got to EZA I easily found 15 niches to get into. Now, I only have to find the time to properly set them up and monetize them. Either way, I have enough niche ideas to last me for a while.

Here is what I did....

I used the search box at EZA, but instead of typing in specific niches, I typed in some generic words. Words that would give me a big assortment of articles. Here are the words I used today.

  • Tips
  • How Can I
  • Ways To
  • Where can i
Now, once you hit the enter button and search through a couple of pages, you will see that there is literally more niche ideas than you can possibly ever need.

But, how do you know what to promote?

Well, the easiest way to do it is to read the articles and follow the resource box to see where they go. When you do this, make note of whether it is an affiliate product or their own. If it is an affiliate product and it looks like something you are interested in, make note of the affiliate network so that you can register for it later.

One other thing that the search phrases are great for is many of the titles that you see in the articles will turn out to be great long tail keywords that you can use to obtain organic traffic.

Something even more powerful with many of the search phrases is that the articles that you find will be full of lists and bullet points. This will give you a ton of research many different topics to use in your article and bum marketing efforts.

Sounds easy, right? Well, It is! If you don't believe me head on over and type the words in the search box for yourself and see just how many niches you can find.

    Great tip, Jeremy.

So then what do you do? Start a blog with a keyword specific domain, or what?

You can do that or start a broader more authority based site if you find a big enough niche.

See, what a lot of people don't get is that there really are no secrets
because when the top guns do whatever it is they do to make their money,
they have to actually display their tactics to the public. That's why they're
        tactics to begin with.

So all you need to do is follow email campaigns, go to EZA, read their blogs,
        and so on.

Eventually, you'll discover the whole process. You may not have every
single nit picky piece, but you'll have more than enough to put together
        a successful marketing campaign.

Some of my best ideas simply came from watching other people market.

The key is keeping your eyes and mind open.

So, start a blog. Publish keyword specific articles.

How to you push the affiliate program? In the articles, or with banner ads, or through a newsletter? Or all?

I'm asking this, because my other projects are in an auto mode right now, and I need something else to do. I might try this out.

Affiliate marketing: yes you can find lots of niches...but, a niche without a product to sell is worthless...unless you are going the create your own.

Nothing happens until you sell something

Search for a product and then fit it to a niche...don't get the cart before the horse.

True Jimmy, but I'm going to assume that if someone is either writing content themselves or paying to have content written for them that there is a way to monetize it. Either that or there are a ton of people wasting a lot of time and money and I don't think that is the case.

If you follow the articles resource box, it isn't very hard to find a ton of ways to monetize each niche.

            Hey Jimmy,

You do not start with a product first in marketing. How do you know if the people in the niche will buy it?

There are many other things, but what I want to say is that it starts with the niche FIRST.

You need to understand those people, and then create (or get an affiliate product) a product that they want.

A product DO NOT make a niche.

            Franck

            Jeremy,

Your method is a great (fantastic) way to find an affiliate product and niche. I found several in a few minutes with great products. This method gives you great insight into how many affiliate products are really out there...it makes you realize there's more to affiliate marketing than clickbank.

People really need to pay attention to ezine articles and whats being promoted. In affiliate marketing, the product makes the niche.

By searching for open ended phrases such as the ones listed you will get a wide variety of niches to look at. From there you can narrow it down as specific as you like

I may be misunderstanding your intent here, but I would've thought that if an Ezinearticle title is a good long-tail keyword, then trying to use it to generate traffic from it would mean competing with Ezinearticles itself ... if it's Google rankings you have in mind.

    Please explain...

I know I'm the new kid on the block, but just wanted to throw my hat in the ring as well.

I have a site, Niche Chick, that delivers a niche idea daily, complete with downloadable keyword research (includes keyword, competition for allintitle, competition in quotes, search volume, KEI, and estimated CPC), a suggested affiliate product, and a related forum, Google Group, Yahoo Group, and Myspace Group you could become involved in.

lot of people promote wrong niche, following the crowd

wrong niche=little money spend on it

example = run car on water = over hyped niche not so profitable

need to add one step, like checking if money is spent on the niche

check how much adwords campaign are running for the niche

You need to follow the "cheese" as they say. Today's hot niche could be tommorow's dud.

Trend watching through keyword, forum research and other methods help you figure out where the money is going and be standing there when it comes flooding in.

"Niches" are easy to find as many have said here, but profitable niches are where the money is being spent now.

I have made a decent living by watching where the money is going next. Being in the right place at the right time is really just forecasting (plus common sense and a bit of luck)

We've had boom periods in stock markets, real estate and internet startups over the last 10 years...people got rich, where were you?

Nice interesting post here, i would like to give my take on this too.
Its quite true that you can get a niche but without a product you can't get anything, well that might be true but you see, there is something called Adsense, you don't have to lose, Affiliate marketing is a winning game! right.

You can spend so much time looking for niches and eventually find nothing of just come out with very little, sure ezine is great and will give you a lot but whats a niche without a product to promote under it. One way i usually employ my niche finding strategy is by using popular market places and websites.
    if its for products
i will go to ebay pulse and Amazon best seller, here you get top searches and popular products, i assure you there is always a niche within these products, believe me,
Another way is to use yahoo.com which assist searchers to complete search phrases with regard to what is being searched for more often you have seen it type in search "how to make" and yahoo will almost certainly complete the search for you. use them to your advantage.
Just incase you like to enlighten yourself further on niche marketing and now to become a supper nichist. You can follow the link below or you can just P.M me for more help.

My favorite niche ideas sources are:

    1. My inspiration and imagination, based on my talents.
    2. EBay Pulse
    3. Amazon.com
    4. The news

After a brainstorming session I make evaluation of the ideas with the "ABC123" method and then I am testing the "A1" ones online for one day to a week.

While there are many niche's, not all of them get enough daily searches to justify setting up a blog or website for them. You must use Google's Adword Tool to find out how much traffic the phrase actually gets.

    Jeremy,

Great tip re: EZA, I use EZA to idea storm but never as you described, nice share!

In fact, I just found a niche using your strategy and it took me approx 3 seconds, I researched further and saw there are 300K+ searches every month for this term, the thing is, I woulda never considered this niche in a million years, turns out tons of folks are interested in this niche that simply POPPED up at me... in short, very nice strategy!

Like someone said (I think that was Steve W), there's pretty much an endless buffet of niches, and there are a ton of ways to research them (and make money from catering to their needs), I've shared some of my niche finding strategies and some others that other IMers use in a recent forum post here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...y-can-buy.html

Now, I have to disagree with someone else on here (I think it was JimmyT), who said with no product to sell it's a bad idea to promote the niche, actually that's wrong. You can build a list of the prospects in virtually any niche and then serve them weekly free content that you never have to write yourself (outsource or reprint/share good articles, videos, audios etc available online).

When you have a good sized list, sell ad space to people in that niche who don't have affiliate programs but want to reach your market (and this is never as hard as it seems, as there are very simple free and premium ways to get traffic that wants free stuff and will read your emails if they provide the promised free info), you can find advertisers using very similar methods you use to drive free traffic (free and premium advertising, though I opt for the latter in the case of finding advertisers).

You can also build a good content site and simply flip it to someone who's interested in that niche, you can find these guys using the same methods (free and premium advertising).

If all else fails, introduce your new niche prospects to other topics they may be interested in (which may have affiliate products etc or any other way you can derive revenue marketing to them).

Many fail to see that when John Public comes online to search for Pan cake makers, you don't only have to show him pan cake maker content, you can also give him a nudge researching material he never thought he wanted, e.g. John Public may be interested in Pan Caking making, but who's to say he's not a father of 3 interested in spending more time with his kids? Or maybe has the itch to learn to play tetris but never got round to it?

My point is, because you pick a niche of snow blower maintenance prospects doesn't mean you can't unobtrusively point them to parenting tips, etc.

Amazon has mastered the art of the "Other products you may be interested in" which are not directly connected to what you searched for in the first place, the thing is don't do this unprofessionally and it can work wonders.

    Anyway 'nuf said.

    Cheers,

I've been amazed at the amount of different niches you can find at linkroll - collaborative web bookmarks and link blogs - You can't join them for some reason, probably because of spam.

Also, Kim Roach did an excellent video course on finding niches and making money from them. It has some Warrior reviews here and it's totally free.

It is a video that you should watch over and over again, it's that good.

I also recommend Micro Niche Finder if you are looking for niches. It has a search feature for Ezine Articles.

    Jeremy,

    This is a great post!
I have learned yet another way to find Hot niches to market to.

Me personally, I like to use Twitter to find good niches to get into.
I just goto Twitter.com and do searches using the same words that you did a search for on EZA.

It works great and I can also chime in on what is being talked about in that niche and later direct those same people into the site tha I have just setup for that niche.

    Thank you for the tip!

Thank you Jeremy for your tip. Great angle to search for niches and products!

I found a couple niches in minutes. Then I typed the product of the niche on my google browser and looked for how many search results it pulls from the box that pulls under the browser box(various different long tail phrases of the product with search results are listed). This shows how hot the product/niche is.

I then looked in the Clickbank marketplace to find an affiliate program for that particular product and it was there! The possibilities are endless.

This is the kind of thread that makes WF easily the best IM forum on the planet.

My 2 ¢ worth... Don't get so caught up in the research that you fail to take action. This has been the downfall of many would-be IM'ers. Don't re-invent the wheel, or all you'll do is spin your wheels. Catchy, right? You can use that one for free.

Seriously, though, pick a path and DO SOMETHING. Then check the results, modify, tinker, and discover the thing that works for you. If it works a little bit, you're in business. Now put all your energies into that "little" thing and explode it. Easier said than done? Yes sir. Essential? Ditto.

But how far in all your opinions are we from market saturisation? becuase it seems to me if you started in IM 5+ years ago there was easy money just waiting for all concerned now is seems harder but also more posibilities as the net has evolved.

Works great in Google too (I think that was suggested in another thread a few days ago).

If I search for "I want to buy" Google suggests these:
      • a house
      • a car
      • stock
      • a house but I have bad credit
      • a monkey
      • a gun
      • a dog
      • a home
      • gold
      • a used car

Who knew more people want to buy monkeys than guns? Or even dogs?

I think the monkey buying niche must be hot! Shhh. Don't tell anyone. I'm going to corner this market!

I love EZA for this kind of thing. Also, I like the fact that you can see how many views the articles have got. This is good as if a niche is in strong demand, all other things being equal the article on EZA will have a great amount of viewings.

There are some excellent threads on the forum about EZA and finding niches: This one is also pretty good (but you gotta be in the war room!):

    Hey Jeremy,

    Good tip and thanks!

Lol I used to own an article directory and know how handy they are for finding niches. A person can niches quickly by editing and approving articles. I found some of my best paying niches that way. Between the two methods, one would have to be half dead not to find many.

Great post Jeremy and a fantastic strategy!

Warriors...once you use Jeremys tactic to find the niches heres a great way to quickly find out if there is a market full of hungry willing buyers there....

Start by going to Google keyword tool and search the main keywords and phrases ...anything less than at least 1000 searches per/mth forget it...you will struggle to find buyers.

However if the keywords do have a strong market of say 5k plus searches/mth ... thats great ... now you know that the product is sought after by hungry buyers...which is just what you want!

Of course you'll also find that theres crazy competition for the main keywords...but thats ok... cos you can use an advanced keyword tool and drill down looking for 'long tail keyword phrases' that have >1000 searches/month and less than 40,000 competing pages.

Why?...Cos thats where you will find the nuggets of gold in the niche that many people overlook...and dominate these terms to rank a whole lot quicker...cos there is much less competition.

Of course thats just the start...but its the best way to start ... use Jeremys tactic to find the niches ... then use use this tactic to find out if its full of hungry buyers.

No point getting hold of a great product if there's no market for it ... right?

Here's a great free ebook download that goes into full detail and shows you exactly how to find great niches and profit from them - step by step.

Find a good niche is only the first step, I've found some awsome niches with a lot of searches per day and a little competition.

But the truth is... I didn't know anything about that niche, none, zero, zip, nada!. At the end I was just another one looking for information about that hot niche...

How can you monetize a good niche if you are completly ignorant about it?

Is really enough knowing just a little bit more than the rest?
