How To Open In New Window

INTERNET MARKETING

Have a Wordpress site with Affiliate Link that opens in my site window, if affiliate site is closed then my site closes.

Need HTML code to open affiliate site in NEW window. So my site remains after closing affiliate site....

Please help if you have a little script that ill do this for me....

Woul be most appreciated

use target="_blank" within your <a href> tag. (see HTML Open Link in New Window for more info)

  When you are adding a link to your Wordpress blog there should be a radio box to select if you want the link to open in a new window.
  
  The guys above have given you the correct HTML code to use if you need it.
  
  Incidentally, I read a case study recently which said that the blogger had experienced better conversion from links which opened in the original window rather than a new window.

If you are adding the link inside a page or inside a post, you will write the text you want to link, you will then highlight it with the mouse and then click on the 'Link Button'. When the link box opens you will add the url and then tick the box that says 'Open Link in a new Window/Tab'.

If you are adding the link in a text widget or anywhere else on the blog then you will just be using regular html. As the other posters above have mentioned your link will need to look like this:

<a href="http://www.affiliatewebsite.html" target="_blank">Text to Display</a>

The target="_blank" section is the bit that will force it to open in a new window.
