Why is Gmail filtering out emails with my links?

I have a vendor who uses Gmail (I don't), and he gets all of my emails, except the ones where I include a link. I use the same return email address in correspondence to him that I do in all correspondence, including email broadcasts and campaigns.

It's a lot easier to send him a download link for a large file if he is working on some content or other, but he is not getting emails where I have included links.

Is Gmail filtering out emails with my links out specifically, or are they filtering all emails containing links? Or, could it be the result of some setting in his Gmail account that he can change that will allow him to receive all of my emails?

Any ideas?

Could be a setting, his security could be on high. Could also be the fact that you the link is to a download and not just a webpage.

It really shouldn't matter though, he can just look in his spam folder or add your e-mail to his contacts and it will hit his inbox.

He claims he has checked his spam filter and his settings and they should be coming through. He sent me a screenshot of his inbox and I can see all of the emails I sent him that do not contain links, but none that include the download links.

I'll try your suggestion and test the page link to see if that works.

It's a mystery of the highest order.

So, we tested your comment that it could be because it was a download link and not a web page. A link to a web page went through.

Any solution to this conundrum? I'm really not excited about building a page just to send him a download link each time he needs a large 20 or 30 meg data file.

If he adds you to his contacts it should go through anyways, possibly with a warning and he has to click something to view the link. Its my understanding that e-mails from contacts will inbox though.

Thanks again. I'll contact him and tell him that is what he needs to do. Then see if that works.
