Hi everyone. I could really use someone's help as I really dont know where to turn anymore. I was in the financial services industry for 17 years, and I resigned in July to work from home full time as I look after my elderly mother.I have borrowed money from my best friend which amounts to thousands of rands(SA). I have tried just about every single internet work from home oppurtunity out there and have not made one single cent.Every single person wants me to buy their product and they all say theirs works.I cannot borrow another cent and need to start generating an income as soon as possible. My website is a mess and both my clickbank and paypal accounts have a zero balance.I have the time to do this and I want to make a success of it but I just dont know how.Because of the ZAR/$ exchange, I only need to make an average of about $100.00 per day.None of the publishers of my affilliate programmes have bothered coming back to me and I have done tons of mentoring programmes. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!

    Hi Skylee

Sorry to hear about your problems. What does your website look like? Can you post a link so that we can see and perhaps offer some advice?

    Hi Skylee,

There are so many different internet business models. Which one do you prefer? What is your website about? How will you make money with that website?

Though there are many good ways to make good money online, we all need to focus and concentrate on one way first.. So, concentration and focus is key.

Hello. I would suggest that you take some time out to assess
your marketable abilities. Perhaps you can design and market
websites, design logos, graphic headers, ebook covers, etc.
You may also be able to find freelance work at ScriptLance or
any of the other freelance sites, such as writing, proofreading,
repetitive/mundane tasks like submitting people's websites to
    directories, search engines, etc.

As for CB, it's difficult to earn sufficient profits with only one
website; someone just starting out would most likely need to
develop several sites in the form of a network of blogs, sites,
free pages (Squidoo), etc., in addition to promoting multiple
related CB products, not just a single one. All of this may
take more time than you are able to devote right now.

Again, take a couple of days to consider realistically about
what you can achieve with what you have available to you
right now, develop a plan and start working at it.

That's right. Choose what you believe would be the best model to approach and concentrate on that model and that model alone!

Furthermoe, once you get into that particular model, go after what makes the money. In other words, don't keep creating cute little things for your website or spend your time doing things that are counter-productive to the path that leads you to the money.

Once you begin making a little money, you may need to re-invest in some things such as an autoresponder or what have you...don't be afraid to purchase something now that will help you in the future.

And you can always come here and ask for opinions, comments or guidance.

So, where's that link to your website so we can help you out?!

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

    Hi Skyelee,

There's plenty of good advice in the comments above so I won't throw more into the pot.

In a more practical way I'm happy to take a look at your site for you and help you get it sorted out. If it would help by reducing your outgoings I'm happy to give you free hosting for it on my resellers account as well.

PM me if you're interested and let's see what we can do to get you moving.

    Good luck,

    Nigel

1st let me ask you some questions.
    1. Are you selling a product or a service?
    2. Is your product or service one of its kind?
    3. What are your USP( Unique selling propositions)
    4. Which geographical region have you planned to target?
    5. Have you tried websites like commission junction, share-a sale, linkshare.com for your affiliate program?
    6. Considering you are making zero income from your website, what kind of effort are u looking to put in provided you get someone who can do the marketing for you?
    Most importantly,
    7. Where have you spent those rands if you say your website is a mess?

Sorry, I don't have an answer, but we are hearing this all too often in this forum:
I resigned in July to work from home full time.
I have borrowed money from my best friend which amounts to thousands of rands(SA).

YIKES! The IM "make millions" promise does not always work.

Have you thought of asking to get your old job back and try to repay your friend and work part time at IM. Yes, I know you want to take care of your mother, but who took care of her while you worked?

Making any amount of money online is possible, but when you are working from desperation, it is harder to succeed (no job, no money, in debt) that is is from a position of power (have a job, money coming in).

Read the forum, this situation is posted regularly and you can get a lot of good information form those posts.

Two things that you don't want to hear (but are true).

1.) This isn't for everyone. If you've spent thousands your probably spending more time spending than doing. Unless you can break that pattern your going to keep doing the same thing.

2.) Anything is scary and almost doomed to failure if you don't have a solid foundation. Not having money, and not having the skills pretty much seals your fate.

Get a job. Catch your breath. Then learn the technical skills you need. This is the 'only' industry where people try and sell you on the idea that you don't need to know how things work. I guarantee you the fellow who buys a restaurant franchise knows how to cook a burger.

Skylee, you've gone around and thanked everyone who has offered you some advice in this thread, but I'm not really sure what you think now since you haven't posted anything since your initial request?

I don't know, maybe you're getting help via PM from one of the Warriors? Or you've just decided to take some time to think things through.

But if you do need some more help, think about posting that URL and letting the Warriors try and help.

Whatever you decide, wishing you all the best.

Hi Skylee, welcome to the forum. There is a lot of advice up there above me but maybe you need to study the things you have bought, read any books you can get hold of, and try to work ou how to improve you site. Im Is what it says Internet Marketing and I recently published an article on this which I can Pm you if you want the link.

What do you know? What can you do? What are your hobbies? What are your interests? These represent the starting point of your research and that's what you have to do before you can make money, or at least an amount that will keep you.

    Hope this helps,

    God bless

    Norma
