Okay, so lets assume you have a local recruitment website (like monster.com)
Except, you don't have any members.
How would you go about getting members?
Which would you acquire first (job seekers or employers) and what would be your strategy?

I`m gathering ideas for a new launch.

I would start with the easier element and gather names and resumes of job seekers. Because I have a careers based site, I recognize that there are many people looking for jobs who will register their details and resumes wherever they think there are possible jobs.

You could also create your own jobs listing by using jobamatic.com to setup and backfill a jobs board for you like mine at Top Jobs @ Your Career Change which pays for leads and allows me to charge employers to post jobs.

I also use careerjet.co.uk which provides a job board and pays per lead.

      Thanks peter,
I was devising a strategy for a local employment agency I'm launching.
It makes sense to get job seekers first since it's more difficult to get employers.

      Cheers.
